ROM with HTC Touch Pro Interface?? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Can any expert on here cook a rom for the X1 that has the HTC Touch Pro TF3D interface? I have the one that Jack made, but the landscape doesn't work. I saw a friend that has the Touch Pro and it works really well. Can some one please see if they can do it for the X1? It would be much appreciated.
Thank you & Happy Holidays!

Well you can always try the Raphael "action screen" Cab, it's VGA only though..
If it works it would be easy to cook in, but I can't see anyway it would automatically know when it was in Landscape.

Thanks for the info. I guess we will wait. I am thinking about switching back to not using TF3D. Maybe flash a lite rom and install the panels. I find spb really good, just not as flashy and hip like TF3D.

For the TF3D is so fast and smooth on the X1, I don't mind that it doesn't work in landscape.
However, of course it would be great to have a working landscape TF3D.

A serious question, but why would you want TF3D in landscape?

1 reason, it looks better than a fu up screen!

That just seems a bit chicken an egg.
I don't ever use TF3D in landscape so my screen never is 'fu up'.
Hence I don't worry that it doesn't work in landscape..

Pointui.com ?

helllo guys.
has someone tried home on this site ?
I tried it on my S200 and it works perfect. It is fast, no bugs at all and it looks nice!
I use it version 1.5 on my Hermes, and it works mostly OK. it still has a few problems.
It does not want to work on my touch diamond...
It lauches to the start screen then bombs out.
SPB mobile shell seems to work tho, and to me it seems better. You can even get a diamond skin for it, and the whole thing runs alot better than touchflow!
I've hard reset and cleaning up to use spb mobile shell.
At this moment, pointUI only has one alpha release of VGA devices:
http://forums.pointui.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=862
Only an older version of PointUI will work at this moment. But there is laso a thread about the Diamond, so in time, it will I think

Touchflo 2D on Diamond?

Anyone tried install Touchflo 2D on Diamond? I think it is a good idea to replace Tf3D by the 2D counter part, as it will speed up the system quite a lot.
i dont think there is a dump of that rom yet, the viva is not out for a few weeks, but i have been wrong before.
Speed up .... actually the TF3D is using the dedicated graphics processor for it which is there in the phone, and replacing by 2D you'll max get some extra free RAM. Other than that, try like SwiftBL ROM or Duttys ROM (using it) which have super fast TF3D, and you really do not want to sacrifice all that 3D beauty
Besides, I guess soon the Touch HD will have a better/updated TF3D which I really hope the hackers/coders will be able to port it for our Diamond .... if I am right.
Just do a search, an installation method has already be posted on the forum. But TF2D is QVGA.
install this cab and tf2d is on your diamond...

u can select it from today menu

This is not TF2D but the old HTC Home today plugin.
omg... i keep asking the same question... keep getting the same responses...
"why do u want to... diamond has TF3D"
to be honest i like TF3d but... 3 screens are slow...
Emails
Photos and Videos
MP3s
if we can integrate these to the TF3d interface i'll be a happy man...
i like the look of contacts and the weather... so happy to sacrifice...
someone needs to port it accross...
TF3d is faster now with SB's rom but not as smooth and responsive as TF2d manila >.<

exactly! 3D effect is nice but the flipping envelop is really unnecessary.

well, since Diamond is not on sales in the USA yet. I think there is a chance that HTC will upgrade the ROM again.

Porting TFL3D to X1

Is this possible for you guys to port or extract TFL3D to the X1? TFL3D is actually a program running ontop of windows. and i dont see why it cant be done on X1, since both running the same WM.
is it ported to other devices?
theres your answer
is it ported to other devices?
F..King dumb question
Of course its not converted to other devices, as they dont have the hardware for it to run smootly exept on kaiser that i know, but THE XPERIA is SOMETHING ELSE because it has the same hardware, 3D chip and the same motherboard as the diamond......
please read in the forum......
as i am also looking for touchflo 3D to my upcoming SE X1...
Well I tried to install the QVGA version on non HTC phones and it did not work.....
So mayb I did somethin wrong....
The best bet would be if someone could grab it from a touch HD, as is runs the exact same hardware, including the WVGA screen.
Touch Flo 3D (Manilla) From Touch HD
Good news for all Xperia owners. I have Touch Flo 3D (Manilla) working on the X1. The Manilla software came from the Touch HD and works very fast. Weather works as does the audio manager and photo album. I can't fault it so far. Great to have the best of both worlds. I will package it up into a cab and post a link soon - maybe tomorrow.
Nice. Can't wait to try it out.
Looking through the registry on my X1 there are keys there for TFLO in HKLM/Software/OEM
ive been waiting for this since i got my xperia on release day. Every xperia owner salutes you!

I hope u can share with us all =)
Its a shame the panels seem to be so poorly written. They should be silky-smooth with 3D acceleration.
I certainly am disappointed from the videos I have seen and if I did not know the specs, I would be thinking its no more powerful than my Wizard. Theres still even the lag rotating the screen when you open the keyboard. I expected it to be a lot faster and smoother especially for the price.
touchflow will run on htc hd extremely smooth and fast.
htc has got 480x800, too. so i will beleave, that in near future, touch flow will be downladable in wxga res.
(sorry i meant wvga, lol)

I am still working on this. Need to get the album and audio manager working. Also having trouble with landscape mode - don't know if Blackstone actually has one. Also trying to put in comm manager, phone and volumes controls. It is worth the wait as Manilla is not complete without these components!
Good on you man! I am patient and am willing to wait. Many thanks dude!

where to find TF3D 2.5?

sorry for noobie query - where to find TF3D v2.5 (e.g. DIAMOND2) for my TouchPRO (.cab only)?
It hasn't been ported, or converted, as of yet.
If you mean the actual TF3D 2.5 then there is port in the works ( [PRJ] MuttiM Manila 2.5 VGA Port (BETA) )and these guys have actually released a ROM using the new TF3D (it is a bit buggy right now, but cool to try)
If you are talking about just the TF3D that is on Touch Pro 2 and Diamond 2 then most of the ROM's in the ROM development section are using the new Gen.Y TF3D 2.1
I am currently using NRG's "warhawk" ROM that uses the TF3D 2.1 port which is absolutely amazing.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: oops, just realized that you only want a cab installation (it is not recommended for installing these new TF3D's), but I am sure you can find it if you search for it. I still recommend just flashing a ROM.
hi
i need one for my touch diamond. i need only touch flo 3d 2.5. cab only.
please

the cm-xor rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493657 has touchflo 2.5 as well... i tried it for a few days and it works well.
even in landscape ? last rom I tested with 2.5 was not rotating tf3d when opening the keyboard.

Microsoft just released WinMo 6.5 some days ago and my first 6.5 Rom was... hell... don't know... january? ;P
There are already several ROMs with 2.5 here... not that much in VGA yet, but i hope we'll see more in close future.
I just loaded a Rom with 2.5 in my XPeria...

you my friend is desperate, if you want it go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=560745
its your only option, oh wait...it says nearly current port status
if you want the TF3D by itself, youre outta luck, youre gonna need alot of patients, all the chefs and everyone else has a life outside the net world, do something thatll pass the time and itll be out before you know it, but dont expect it to be a perfect build.....
btw posting your own email makes you look crazy

i want my baby back!! 6.1 roms recommendation.

hi... it seems that 6.1 has been forgotten. Im not a big fan of the eye candy of 6.5, its laggy and after a while... irritating. So i would like to know (if you could provide the links aswell; in xda ofcoz) of the fastest 6.1 rom, with manila preferably. The only main difference i see in 6.5 is the main menu, which makes win mo like every other phone out there. i kinda liked the win mo drop down screen. more authentic and not a rip-off of a knock-off of a carbon copy of a photo copy of all other menus found on all other phones out there.
so just post here which is the best, thanx buddies.
P.S.
why hasn't any one tried to integrate the manila touch flo 3d/ HTC sense from leo onto a more stable base like 6.1? im not a "chef" and i dunno much abt the process of creating roms... im a flasher... (ok that didnt come our right) lol... back to topic... shouldnt it be possible?
if you ported leo sense onto 6.1, it would work faster ...yes?
You tried the rest, now try the best... PCTech4U
Personally I have tried just about every rom on this forum, and the one that I like most is Touch X 10.1 by Mr Rusch.
PCTech4U was okay, and probably a second place in my book but I think Touch x 10.1 beats it.
Super stable, quite fast, excellent battery life.
What more can u ask for?
Until 6.5 ROMs are completely stable and smooth I am also sticking with Touch X
Touch X 10.1? does 10.1 beat 10.8? or are they completely different series all
together?
and trying tech4u also... will c which one comes out on top...
my my... the touch X 10.8 is amazing. fast and stable. pure amazement. will try the rest to find the best...
I use TouchX 10.5... tried every 6.5 rom but they are SLOW..., tried 10.8, 10.1 others... they are fast, but I like 10.5 (I think that it is a bit stable then others)
:/ I use xperia specially as Phone
Touch X 10.1 is totally stable and tested by many people, 10.5 is very stable so far, I haven't found any problems (need the fixer cabs installed, though). It has manila 2.1 with weather on the home tab.
I read that someone was working on a WM6.1 / Leo ROM, but can't remember offhand who it was.. possibly rotastrain, MrRusch or bsp98ht..
thankss ppl... so it seems touch x is the best so far... may it be 10.8, 10.5 or 10.1. im not a big fan of the finger menus though... is there a way to turn it off? ususally they have the option to turn off the menu but i cant find it after looking everywhere.... any ideas?
as said before, touch-x and pctech4u are great
for info though, these three are of note;
outie's rom- LEO
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=564743
mikedomain's rom- LEO, based on outie's kitchen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4672004
itje's rom- manilla 2.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=575329
the three above unfortunately haven't had much support in terms of bug-fixing or development. it's a shame as for those who aren't fans of 6.5 are missing out on leo. odd, because LEO is so much better on 6.1!!
also, haven't tried it (waiting for LEO) but here is a link to jack's:

Try this got it of touch it 10.1 and works for me.
I had forgotten about outie's kitchen and rom! Thank msc125 for reminding me.. Trying to cook something with it now hoping to get a fast 6.1 with 2.1.1920 out at the end.
thanks n33d for speed. we all need the speed. i have found that touch X 10.8 is more buggy than the 10.5 so im stickin to that... and now with the cab u provided... should be nothing less than perfect!
one thing id like is the xperiatweak 2.0 software so i can change the font on my x1... but i cant seem to open the webpage... possible if some one else could post it here?
and another question, do these custom roms reduce the sensitivity of the track pad...? even when i set the sensitivity to the max it doesnt give more sensitivity like it used to... and in the advance config the values are different for different "scenes", ranging from 8 - 20... any idea abt this?
p.s one thing i realised is that the touch x 10.5 doesnt isnt that stable with the manila TF3D turned off? i guess i have to change the key mapping for the home screen...
GO WM6.1!
another request... is there a cab for the htc apps in these custom roms? like htc album, camera, mp3 cutter etc? and also the new notification bar in all these new roms?
