A different ROM based on the great LAGUNADUB theme however keeping the standard fonts (more readable, other fonts can easily be added by yourself).

The ROM comes in an hybrid form that allows you to modulate the content from LITE to HEAVY according to your needs and preferences.
this ROM is UC2.0 compliant: most applications are installed from the SD as normal CABS, and are not hardwired to the ROM. See http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=AutoRun for the syntax.
The LITE part of the Rom is based on WWE_1.19.831.0 edition (CE OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3) and contains:

The LITE part of the Rom additionally contains multiple speed tweaks and tuneups, including registry changes allowing Navigon MN7 to keep the GPS connection alive. Last but not least, the touch screen optimization - improved according to the evidences from csw43 by application of a second-pass tuning at installation (for some reasons, some registry tweaks were overwritten by other modules).

Very simple installation procedure.
1. Download the archive, and unzip it on your desktop computer.
2. If you want to install a LITE version, goto A.
3. If you want to install a STANDARD version, goto B.
4. If you want to customize your ROM applications, inside "Optional Customization Tools" use "SDConfig Builder.exe" and generate your own SDConfig.txt file.
B. copy the directory Cabs (inside "1. Drop_onto_SD") onto your Storage Card
B1. Copy the SDConfig.txt file onto the root of the SD Card
A. inside "2.Launch PzucchelROM" launch ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow indications.
This ROM exposes you to a "new" release concept based on UC compliance. The hypothesis: whoever is able to flash a ROM is "literate enough" to possibly customize/modify an SDConfig.txt.
You download two directories in the same archive, one to install on your SD card, the second to install the LITE ROM. If you do this, the result will be exactly identical to a FULL ROM. If you don't install the directory in the SD card, you will install a LITE ROM. if you modify the packages, by adding or removing CABS, you will customize the ROM EXACTLY to you needs! An additional advantage: all packages can be uninstalled/modified/upgraded at any time during the lifetime of the ROM. I resurrected to this solution because the poll clearly indicates that somebody would prefer more apps, and somebody would favor a light rom: no way to make everybody happy otherwise! I think it is a very satisfactory approach: moving to different roms is a piece of cake, and we could have far fewer ROMS with more optimized performances
V1.18 is both lighter and heavier than V1.17 and the focus was in fine tuning of performances by empirical evaluation. It uses an external Opera cab (version 2942), adds new packages, better documentation of the content, removed additional apps, and indeed tweaks have been fine tuned.
V1.17 becomes LITEHEAVY
V1.16 simply adds Internet Explorer 6, according to your request. Be aware that this addition was possible only thanks to the courtesy of Laurentius26, Not only he is a great cook (use his great ROM!) but he is also a gentleman!
V1.15 fixes a specific bug when Opera is rotated in landscape mode - making Opera exiting or disappearing in the background. Removing sdkcerts.cab from the Packages solved the issue, as reported in other threads for the Raphael.
V1.14 applies additional tweaks for snappiness: improved touch screen interface on sliding buttons and on scrolls, tcp resends, cleartype in landscape. No magic: you can see the tweaks in the cab tune2.cab that can also be de-installed if you like!
V1.13 slims memory usage by replacing the green background with pure black, changing the splash screen as requested in order to be in style with the theme, and removing the catalogs package from the SYStem. this version boots in LESS than 60s, and shows just after boot 140 Mb free!
V1.12 adds touch screen improvements, removal of SQM and total removal of NETCF2.0 (thanks to tazHTC for the correct understanding of the issue), and it is definitely going towards a LIGHT rom as indicated by the many comments in the thread. In fact, having UC2.0 allows to easily add all the packages you like, i will go further in this direction to provide you the lightest and fastest base ROM around...i also took out apptodate.
V1.11 fixes a bug in V1.1 afffecting Weather editor, gwatch and capsure: CF2.0 is added in background for those applications requiring it.
V1.1 becomes UC2.0 Compliant, and fixes an approximate installation of the mortscript interpreter.
V1.0 is including the great LagunaDub theme in place of the (boring) HTC one.

frankly, i dont think there is any correlation between footprint of the rom, free ram/storage and speed. Actually, this rom looks very fast to me but i dont refer to benchmarks but responsiveness to your input...

It might take me some time to understand how these pros are cooking these multilanguage ROMs. Once i get a version of the 3 ROMs i wanna release that I feel are adequate then i'll work on other languages.

It must have itje Black Dialer as it goes very well with the black cover of x1 plus if you can incorporate the YOTA contact manager it will be excellent.
I'm really trying to avoid the YOTA contact manager because it doesn't have landscape support. Since i almost never use the contact list for anything I will just leave it as an open item on the Touch Flo ROM i'm working on now. Stay tuned for a new ROM. Hopefully tonight.

Thank you for sharing an unprotected ROM - I have great respect for such a value.
I wondered why the nbh file was 89Mb as against JL's light ROM (v1.04) of 72Mb. Extraction showed programs such as Welcome Center, Suduko etc.
I'll try to re-edit these to produce a bare-bones ROM because of the updated XIP etc. If I am able, I'll post it here with due acknowledgement for your initial ROM
That is my plan and then i want to do a spb mobile shell ROM but of course you will not be able to use that ROM unless you own SPB Mobile Shell. I intend on keeping all of these ROMs up to date too.

I wish i could take credit but i actually have absolutely no idea how to protect a ROM lol... You can expect all of my ROMs to be the same way. I'm pretty sure Jack's Lite ROM extracts OK too. I don't remember..

yes, JL's v1.04 is fully extractable - I've already paid my respect to him for that value.
It's the best way to go if the ROM's are not to become moribund, where each chef just keeps adding what they like to use and entirely unrelated threads develop around these since no-one can re-edit the best bits.

I didn't meant to protect my rom. I simply don't use the kitchen to build my rom and those rgu's are useless for me and every little byte count. U can extract my rom without problem. But just the files won't seperate in the folders.

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms
-Info on Hard-SPL here
My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Please read here to get the best xperience with my roms
-Do a Hard-reset after flashing is done
-Wait with installing any apps/progs until you have tested the performance and stability of the rom.
-Tweaks and regedits are allready set to max up the performance, if you install tweaking cabs or other performance cabs, they might not
work well with this rom, and can ruin the performance of the rom.
-Before reporting bugs, try think before you post; is it related to something you have altered?
-Missing programs is not a bug. I do not wish to have comments on why this and that are missing. Get a cab..
More Info on v7.0:
-Opera that is cooked in is not supporting HW keyboard, install Opera from X1. But note that this will disable other functions like in.ex push internet.
-The HTC camera is set to 5mp res. Change this to 3, or else it wont work.
-Sollution to change right softkey found here
-Dialer do not have lanscape supported. This is because we dont have one that works with this manila.

- manila-sms in landscape, the text bar covers the last message ( This seems to be designed that way by htc, to give space to the little popup tab at the bottom)

I installed the 5.061 the other day and I reallt don't want to flash my phone again if "it aint worth it" if you know what I mean...

I think there are some improvements.

None, none at all.
Don't bother flashing it, it'll just waste your time, afterall it only took us a week of testing and re-testing to come up with it..

I've read somewhere that Itje said the V7 is based on a newer build which contains bugfixes from HTC itself, but he didn't say which "bugs" are fixed.

How to install?: Copy the Extendir folder found in download to the root of your storage card. Flash the ROM as usual, then go to Applications folder in Start Menu and select Preset Installer. When Preset Installer comes up you can click next and install the programs or utilities you want by checking the boxes for each program. Then Click next and then install. A box with a bold check will install automatically to Device, if it has a faded check this means you will be prompted for install location. This is needed for programs that require user confirmation like FingerKeyboard and No HTC Messaging Fix. Manila is Partially loaded in ROM and Most installed post flash with Preset Installer. m6 color icons are only for 21xxx builds ONLY If you install Manila modifications that overwrite any manila files they will not be uninstallable. If you want them to be uninstallable install them to Extendir\WinDir\Manila\Manila Folder that contains the file you want to replace. Don't let device go to sleep during install!!. Device will reboot after installation. You can remove any of the programs as needed from the Remove programs in System. I have made many new .cab files with shortcuts to my Start Menu folders structure. So if you try to use these cabs on another ROM it likely will not work.
If you install LIA_Flipit by Wildberry, you will need to remove the following Reg Keys to make it work. And it works well.
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor
AutoRotation = 1 (Delete This key)
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSensor\GSensor\
ModuleName (Delete This Key)
WhiteList (Delete This Key)
Then Soft Reset, you can then configure which apps you want to rotate from the Configuration settings in Flipit.

On second boot the connection setup will run. Again be patient as it might start a few seconds after manila today screen is displayed.
What is the New Extendir? It is a file aliasing program that stores some of Windows Program files in a different directory and or on the Storage card.
This allows for a ROM to be built with fewer Files in windows and thus better performance.
Preset Installer is a Visual UC Interface which allows you to add your Cabs and customizations after Flash. It is not installed in the ROM but you can install it and the device is already compatible. See this Thread for More Info:

Working really well so far, been using it just over an hour.
Using around 46% memory on fresh boot. Gets higher as you run more progs/apps but seems to drop down really well again. Running around 51% after 45 mins. Good selection of apps included in the rom.
The messaging app seems to auto start, changes both bottom soft keys too.

Hey Bob,
First of all let me congratulate you on this AMAZING ROM. It is very fast, smooth and stable. Nice background too.
I have tested the following features in your ROM:
Camera: Really good and by far the best performance I have seen in low light as well.
Email / Sync with Exchange 2007: Perfect. No problems there.
YouTube: Awesome. I could even play YouTube videos smoothly while I am on EDGE.
Topaz Dialer: This is the ONLY ROM that I have seen where the Topaz or HTC dialer worked perfectly. In the other 6.5 ROMs I saw a conflict between the HTC and the WM6.5 dialers. The WM dialer pops up for a brief sec before the HTC one comes up. In your ROM I did not see that happen. Even the most experienced chefs could not do this. You should highlight this on your release notes. Even when the screen is locked, the Topaz dialer works flawlessly.
Opera: No issues there what so ever.
Google Maps: Perfectly working.
WiFi / Bluetooth: No problems there as well.
Windows Media Player: No issues
Pictures and Videos: Perfect
CorePlayer: Working properly (I know it does not come with your ROM but I have it and I use it for videos).
CSVD: I know this also not part of your ROM, but I installed the cab and it works with NO issues. I prefer this over the MSVC.
Now the Issues I found on your ROM:
Music Player: I had problems paying music from my storage card. It was breaking up. This was fixed as soon as I installed SD Tuneup. So you might want to include this in your ROM.
HTC Album: It freezes a bit..
Calculator: I know the new HTC calculator is not included. But the WM 6.5 one SUX big time. For the release, you can probably include IPC Black Calculator. I installed the cab and it worked perfectly. I would definitely suggest this instead of the stock Cal.
Last but not least... I think you should clearly mention the SPL version as well for your ROM. I know you did say it works with HSPL and USPL. But here is the thing, I have USPL 1.54 since I installed Dutty's 2.7. Though I was able to flash it without any issues and everything works fine... But there is an issue with the screen after a soft reset. I get wearied colors. But this will go away when I press the power button and close the screen and bring it right back up by pressing the power button again.
So I think you should probably say that HSPL and USPL v1.14 or something.
I really liked the way you have integrated the Topaz apps within the ROM. They are launch and work as if they are part of WM6.5 Great work.
I dont know how I was able to do it, but the Titanium theme rotated in Landscape mode once (i was not able to do it again). But when it did, I loved the way there were an extra set of icons when I press start. Like you have 4 in potrait, mode... I got 5 in Landscape. I was not able to get it back to Potriate mode. Had to do a SR.
On a personal pref... I cannot use a ROM with out Manila, 'Coz I need to have Favorites for people. Unfortunately in 6.5 I dont have that (Unless I am missing something).
So waiting for your Topaz Manila version.
I do not use GPS or Nav, so I cannot comment on that.
Once again... GREAT JOB. To be honest... Acutally I loved yours compared to any other 6.5 ROMs out there. You have made sure that you resolved most of the issues raised by many members in other ROMs.

Make sure your phone is plugged to an AC or at least charged at 50 percent BEFORE flashing!!!

Install files from "_PREREQ" folder before flashing!!!
"SASHIMI" has to be unzipped to your storage card
Password for the archive: BuddyCount4XDA-DEV
Extract the kitchen to a root folder without spaces
(e.g. "D:\Blackstone_WM65")
Start "erviuskitchen.exe"
Select "Load ROM"
Choose "23016" configuration
From the list in the middle make your package selections, by doubleclicking
Make sure "Real WM 6.5 AKU" is checked
Hit "Create ROM"
When everything is built, the window for flashing appears. Cancel it, I recommend flashing by Micro-SD (see FAQs)
FLASH HSPL 1.56 from "_PREREQ" folder
FLASH "Radio_1.14.25.24" from "_PREREQ"
Finally FLASH "ruu_signed.nbh" from "RELEASE_Blackstone" folder (see FAQs)

General notes:
The kitchen and its folder structure is designed for easy use. Extensions and packages containing a leading "_MY_" where modified by me (Mostly to meet CPL numbers and links in german rom folder structure.) So if you update them, watch out for the "app.reg", "app.dat" and "*.provxml" files to meet the kitchen structure. The "OEM" folder contains command files for language specific folders and CABs installations for the first startup and the customizing. (I will explain that in more detail, when writing the FAQs).

BUGs and fixes:
I spent a lot of time bugfixing the manila Rhodium issues and other language specific errors. But most bugs have been fixed, so the ROM runs really smooth. Its ready for daily use!
Known issues:
SRS WOW causes Media Player volume control not to work properly. (So don't use it right now)
Backlight, lightsensor & auto lock times (perfect settings have to be found)
Energy-Management log doesn't work
"Windows Live Search" is not german
Comm Manger: Bluetooth ON/ OFF switch not working (FIX: Tap to the left of the switch and watch the taskbar for the Bluetooth icon)
Leave "push internet engine" to save about 10 percent of RAM
Manila is hungry and consumes a lot of RAM
If u choose all APPs, when building, be patient!!! First boot will take a lot of time (but will succeed!).

Quick and dirty update : Unpack the extension fixes in your kitchen folder, delete old APP_Icons and hComber folder, overwrite the other files.

It's not a big Problem to use a english Rom...a Rom in Mother language is much nicer.

@miri and starbase: Thanks for the flowers! (When everything is finished in german, I'll also add the english extensions. OS base and my personal fixes and apps are WWE ready by now.)
I personally like the grey background, but you can change it for the today tab, by the manila options. The other tabs will stay grey, I will fix that. Think I_m gonna edit some manila files like showaco. If you got already fixed mainal files, 4 wvga, let me know and I'll update the kitchen as soon as possible.

@pg2005: By now every app I got works with WM65. (Really!) Only issue: No WVGA Fix 3 app, but I only needed it for ScummVM and you can rotate the screen, so that WVGA Fix 3 is no longer needed by me.

Sure you can add your programms, any programm installed will show its icon in the WM65 honeycomb start menu, hi-res icons for the WM65 honeycomb menu have to be made manually and some changes to the registry are needed. But I almost made/ converted icons for many apps. If its a useful app, I can add it to the kitchen later on. A FAQ on how to add apps will follow.

@jammysunny I ported all the MUIs, as I said in "THX to" to the SYS base from sparkienl. There is no official WM65 release yet.
I was trying around with different bases for several weeks, running stable, this is not an issue of the mui. I will build some releases today, to track that failure down. It will be running smooth. It may be an issue of some registry setting or a driver in the new OEM COMMON driver folder I used. Maybe the base is the problem, didnt had that with 21812. (MS changed sth with the Lock slider, it is acting faster in this release, so I guess they also changed some reg settings for the power manager). But I changed some more things, so I have to track this down first. I will edit the first post then.
This is one of the last big issues, I use this kitchen/ ROM on daily basis and everything else works fine. So if anyone tracked down the failure himself, please PM me.
Though WM65 is final accoring to MS, there are also many new releases after that point, I think they are still improving little things. If I find a newer base version, I will test and release it. By now Im just trying to track down the last issues. So we have a smooth and stable running WM65 with lots of packed features... And anyone can build the packages he want to his preferred ROM.

THX! I updated the OEM drivers and I'm testing right now. By now, no more freezing in standby, but phone has to recharge at the moment, I will test further, when battery is charged. The standby freeze is one of the last big issues, size reducing and memory otimization is just much time intensive, but not that hard. As well as porting to WWE.
I got vacation till sunday, if my girlfriend lets me, I think by the end of this week we will have a stable kitchen for daily use, then only memory optimizing and storage consumption (and porting to WWE) has to be done. As well as some documenting and some batch files, I have to finalize to make things easy.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF THE KITCHEN:
Get a a ROM in your language (let's say german: Deutsch R3A, or Austrian R3A, whatever)
Use the "dump nbh" button: a new folder "dump" will be created
Inside new "dump" folder you will find new OEM and EXT folders: replace current OEM and EXT folders with the dumped ones
...or import OEM & EXT folders from another Visual Kitchen already in your desired language
Now let's change the XIP|SYS language
SYS: Get *LANG_0xxx* folders for your language and add or replace them in \SYS\
XIP: Make sure "boot.rgu" matches your desired language, or edit it and search for the 2 LANG strings and change accordingly (eg.: spanish 0c0a instead of english 0409)
HOW TO CHANGE THE XIP|SYS BUILD:
XIP: Add or replace the new build XIP folder (MSXIPKernel) in \ROM\SHARED\ then rename \ROM\kovsky\21874\ to ROM\kovsky\*your new build number*\
SYS: Add or replace the new build SYS folder into \SYS\

when i scroll in contact list or call history in dialer the names i hilight will corupted
gtrab can you upload kitchen for us to remove x1 dialer from oem pack
i think winmo original phone dialer work perfectly

This ROM has a symilar build to my XPERIA X2, I want to use it as a bse to start making an X2 ROM, but this one is PURE: only the theme has X2 influences
Even being pure, I managed to streamline contents and memory use, it is smaller than official ROMs and *should* be faster
Again: please don't be shy to report any problems or bugs

since I did my last ROM-flash with a (modified) ROM a quite long time ago (with a XDA neo 1-2 years ago) it would be nice if you could give some instructions how I get this ROM running on my X1.
In another post about an older ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509891&highlight=HardSPL) you gave these instructions:
1. Don't be affraid to flash: it's very easy once you spend a couple of minutes reading the sticky threads
2. Avoid being the proud owner of an expensive brick: flash Hard-SPL first before flashing any custom (cooked) ROM
3. Pick your choice, download it, use WinRAR to unzip the firmware (ROM) upgrade file "kovsimg.nbh"
4. Flash it to the phone's ROM memory with USB PC method (RUU app) or SD card method
