Linux ROM on Trinity? is possible? - P3600 Software Upgrading

Hi sorry everybody if this question has been already made, but i didn't find it on the search engine!
does it exist a LINUX distribution for pda? my experience with unix systems say me to try this way to have a fast, linear, stable and light system on my pda!
alternative: a Mac version? impossible, isn't it? XD
thanx for attention!

I'm sure it will be possible but not officially.
Some members have used it successfully but only at 25MB expenses. So if you have few memory available you won't be able to try it.
With ARM knowledge and SPL tweaking i believe that it will be possible to write the OS to the DOC chip and have SPL load it directly (now it's being called from RAM)
cheers
First we need for it to be officially released, because drivers for our mobile phones are missing...
Why can't drivers be either made or found elsewhere? It is linux based, and therefore probably already has a driver out there for most of the stuff in it. Or I am sure there are some good driver hackers here that can reverse engineer the windows drivers for all the system calls that are passed onto the hardware.

^^has a lot of good information
help me! please
Yes, I searched the internet a lot on how to cook ROM's but I couldn't find crap... Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to get started on this?
Theres no real tutorial for it....its really you know how to work things through experience,
There are a lot of useful threads on xda, but you have to find them and piece them together.
LFS
What about compiling the information into a HowTo format similar to the first Linux From Scratch book?
Possibly the Gentoo ARM handbook may be of help as well.

What is needed to help developers with the problems that have some rom's?

I am wanting to help developers of CM10 or AOKP rom JB, I have much knowledge in software programming, use GNU / Linux, but as I can not provide assistance, because they just want to be tester, also want to help them develop and correct problems.
I hope you can help me with this question, and I thank you from

Can you do a repo sync ?
Can you build source ?
What OS are you using ? (If it's GNU / Linux, then what distro are you ? )
Hope you answer all my question !
I'm using Debian Testing (Wheezy) to synchronize it was not very good, but I would like to learn it better.
Building source on that language?
Thank you very much for responding!
