[REQ] Thai support - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Anyone have a cab which will support thai language in touch pro? (I have the fuze) I found one on diamond thread it won't let me install. Any help would be much appreciated
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=434655&highlight=thai

You can download freeware from http://www.cn.co.th/download.asp scroll down and choose version 1.17
It works well with TF3D and opera but only thing is some song don't show Thai character and line breaking is not very good so I bought the professional version for just about $23 to support Thai developer.

Thai letters on HTC Touch HD
Does work with HTC Touch HD After installing this software additional encoding you can find in your device - Thai (Window)

I think you can download ThaiwinCE from
http://www.cn.co.th
As P' Peepoo say
I e-mail to ask ThaiwinCE about this
They say you can also buy full version about 800-900 Bath...

Heya,
I'm trying to download thai fonts for my wm6.1 phone. the one that Peepoo suggestted is for PocketPC2000, are you sure that will work w/ the newest windows mobile?

Russian (cyrillic) Keyboard

Hello,
i just got my HTC diamond, using it in french !
I need to send sms in CYRILLIC as i did with my Sony w880i (just choosing the language while writing sms)
Is it possible to activate a russian keyboard in sms menu, and also to add a cyrillic alphabet in word for example !?
I'm looking for it on the forum, but i didn't find yet any topic about this specific request...
Thank you very much for help !!!!!
Russian input
It''s only a standart VGA keyboard russification. Enjoy
Installation !?
Thanks for the file...
But after i installed it, it seems that i still can't choose the russian keyboard
I still have my standard ones (french, spanish, italian, english and german)
I found a solution !!!
For the ones who are interested... page 4, rus2.cab to install on diamond, and it works fine
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121
Golubev, Super I like this tool . Would be nice to have possibilities to recognize russian handwritten font as it done for German.
Many thanks!

Sms in Russian
I tried to install in my HTC Touch Diamond several different keybord in order to be able to write sms in russian/cyrillic. All of them are perfectly working, with outocomplete words,....
But my problem is that when I send the sms to another mobile, my text cannot be recognised: all the letters will become "?". Is this because my Diamond is in Italian and can't recognize cyrillic caracters?
Can anyone help me to solve this problem? I need to write Sms in Russian.
Thanks in advance

I believe that another phone should support Russian, this is often problem.

So you think that there's no chance to write sms in cyrillic from my HTC Diamond? But I'm sure that exist the russian version of this mobile. Why can't it recognize cyrillic?
You can try Microinvest Micron 2.5 keyboard. It's free and supports cyrillic keyboards (russian and bulgarian) as well as the standard english layout. It comes in two distinct versions (which are actually separate installations):
Standard - with the size ot standard input panel and
Touch - specially suited for finger typing.
It also has support for VGA displays (such as the Touch Diamond).
You can choose among 4 integrated skins (i like Vista best). More info here:

Or download directly from here:

I just got my HTC Touch Pro
I'm trying to instal russian keyboard. I downloaded rus2tp.cab drag the file into memory and hit instal. What do i do next? I still can only see english keyboard

Hebrew encoding in tmail

Hi, pros!
My tmail (manila's mail) lack the Hebrew encoding. It's just not there in languages list (View -> Languages).
The Hebrew works great otherwise - I can see it in SMS, browser, calendar, keyboard; I can even switch the whole system to Hebrew.
I have the original ROM, in which it was OK, so probably I'll be able to rip it apart to get it from there, but the problem is I don't know where to look for the encodings.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
What hebrew r u using ?
Anyway, you can try hebrew for manila by ronenpg
http://www.slight.co.il/htc/?id=4
arix, thanks for your reply!
I am using Eyron. I really don't want the Hebrew interface, all I need is Hebrew encoding for Opera/SMS/emails.
I m using Eyron as well (Orange Rom), and see good hebrew (Opera/SMS/emails) with manila or without it...
Yap, it worked well for me as well in Orange ROM. That's how I know it's possible
I have downloaded the original HTC ROM for Israel (I guess it's the Orange one), teared it appart, and can't find anything related to Eyron and/or Hebrew.
Strange.
Hi guys,
Do anyone have cab file that support hebrew only for sms?
You don't need a cab. Copy tahoma and tahomabd fonts from desktop's Windows/fonts to device's Windows.

Thai Version of TD2

Hi I want to buy a Touch Diamond 2 for brother in law who is Thai. He wants version that has Thai language.
Does anyone know which region version I should buy.
Normally, there is no any ROM that has Thai!
For Thai ROM is developed by Thai's web forum calls PDAMOBIZ.COM
But, it is still no ROM for Topaz, due to it very new.
However, if your brother in law can use english menu, there are some Thai company that sell Thai software calls ThaiWinCE and Thai-g (for me, now I recomended ThaiWinCE).
That you can buy from them via there homepage.
In the software, there will give you Thai input Keyboard, Thai Regional setting and make your WM phone able to read Thai.

There is also something called korechithai.cab that install thai fonts (and other south-eastern fonts I think) and basic WinMo thai input keyboard (to be used with a stylus, but it is better than nothing). I do not know if it is related to the ones mentioned in previous post (an earlier version maybe?), but afaik it is free, i did found it on Thai WinCE message boards. I installed it on my previous PDA, and re-installed it on my TD2. No compatibility issues, although the cab was for an earlier version of WinMo, it is still working nicely on 6.1 topaz...
It allows me to use free thai-english dictionary (there is also one hanging around, using the MDict engine), I will check during my next trip to thailand if it work for viewing thai characters in SMS in Touchflo and browse thai website...
But as the previous poster said, this will not change the WinMo menus, nor touchflo3D, not any pre-installed apps: those will remain in the language your Topaz came pre-installed with...which, in my case, is a blessing ;-)
Thanks for the replies.
I will try the korechithai.cab on my device later. If it is ok then I will just buy him a UK version.
I installed the korechithai.cab but now both my volume buttons & the call answer button no longer work.
Anyone have this problem & know how to fix it.

Strange, I installed it too and I do not have this problem...Have you soft resetted your TD2?
BTW, after expansion my korechithai gives different cab:
KbdChinese.cab
KbdKorean.cab
KbdThai.cab
korechithai4ppc.cab
SIPChange.cab
I installed korechithai4ppc.cab first (this gave the thai fonts, so I was already able to read thai words in my dictionary after this install)
then KbdThai.cab, this added the thai keyboard (classic WM keyboard format, so stylus-oriented, or can work with fingers...if you have very sharp nails ;-) )
I did not install SIPChange.cab, this one is not compatible with 6.1 (or so it says in the instruction). I think it is intended for deeper change (program shortcuts, maybe some OS messages or menus), things I had no intention to change anyway.
I you have installed SIPChange.cab, I suspect it is the origin of your problem. I would try to uninstall it, and if it does not work, only solution I see is a hard reset, then try the installation of korechithai4ppc.cab then KbdThai.cab only...

Is it possible to tell me where to download korechithai4ppc.cab of better still can you email it to me. I have tried but can't find it anywhere.
The korechithai.cab I downloaded from here http://my.opera.com/cameron_en/blog/2008/02/03/ime-complete-installation-files-download-section does not work properly.
For anyone who's interested I have found a fully compatible version of korenchithai4ppc.cab at this link http://sinocom.ru/index.php?topic=159.msg3006;topicseen as you can see it is in Russian but all you need do is scroll down approx 2/3rds of the thread & the link for rapidshare is there.

Chinese display support for WWE ROMs(CHT/CHS PinYin IME added, Apr,2010)

I love using WWE ROMs but I have to read/type Chinese on my phone since most of my friends are Chinese. By searching on the Internet, I made a Chinese support pack by myself. Seeing there are some threads talking about Chinese support, I would like to share my work with all of you.
(I've checked it again and again to make sure it enables Chinese display with min change to the system, while other methods like installing CEStar will be a big project.)
To enable Chinese displaying on your PPC, you must have:
1, a WinCE.nls that supports GB/Big5 encoding(Chinese encoding);
2, a font that includes Chinese characters.
I have packed the above stuff into 2 cabs.
BasicSupport.cab installs a WinCE.nls extracted from Hong Kong Official Chinese ROM to your \Windows folder and set your "Region" to "Chinese(PRC)" by default(it won't affact English displaying).
For Traditional Chinese users, please set your Region to "Chinese(TW/HK/Macao)". This step is to enable GB/Big5 on your phone to display non-unicode Chinese characters.
FontDiamondJH.cab includes a font(微软正黑) from HK Official CHT Diamond ROM that includes 99% of both Simplified & Traditional Chinese characters.
FontCrystalHei.cab includes a font from HK Official Pro2 Asia ROM that includes 99% of both Simplified & Traditional Chinese characters.
FontPMingLiu.cab includes a font(細明體) from HK Official Pro2 Asia ROM.
FontMSYHWin7.cab includes a font from MS Windows 7(微软雅黑).( too big, Go to alternative download to get this)
It's not a must to make 2 cabs, just easier for me to replace/update either the font or WinCE.nls respectively. You can merge them into one cab if you like.
Perform a soft-reset after installing these two cabs and your phone is ready for Chinese.
Tested on ROMs for Touch Pro2:
CELL PRO
CELL EVO PRO
Energy ROM
AthineOS
Valkyrie FireStorm
Rhodium_AF
HK/EU Official WWE ROM
According to the same principles, these two cab should also work on other HTC WM6.1/6.5/6.5.3 devices like Touch Pro(Tested), Diamond(Tested), Diamond2(Tested), HD2, etc.
Install any Chinese IME you like after you enabled Chinese display.
Suggested IME:
QQ PinYin: hard-keyboard, CHT/CHS switch, etc. but doesn't have Qucik,Cangjie,WuBi version yet, only PinYin
There is another option: PlumSIP(modified by myself) , supports PinYin, Quick, Cangjie, WuBi.
Download site:
http://cid-00064b7b21604ad4.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Pro2/Chinese Related
KeypadPYPatch.cab to enable PinYin index in your dialer and contacts. You should install this if you have lots of Chinese contacts.
Thanks! Appreciate your work and letting the rest of us know.

Of course you can install a font only as long as there are already Chinese options in your "Regional Settings"

THX!
What version of CELL PRO did you perform the test?
I'm on V10.1. Won't even let me install the BasicSupport.cab.
Is UCWEB works with your Chinese display support? I installed Rickey 14M YaHei Chinese fonts, it works fine except for UCWEB.
I have been using the same thing for years
Your method seems too overly complicated.
I posted a method on the XDA-developers wiki a few years back when I figured out the best way to get Chinese/Japanese display support. I have been using this since my first Windows 2003 PDA over 6 years ago.
The best thing is it is only 1.8 megs total and it has full support for ALL Chinese and Japanese including Chinese pinyin.
Check it out on the Wiki here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweak_Language_Chinese
If you want Chinese input, I use PlumSIP and it works great with the keyboard, as I use the "Mail" button to easily switch between English and Chinese, or even between different input methods of English (such as T9) and Chinese (such as stroke based). Anyone interested in this? This tops out at a 3.6 meg download.
I finally got UCWEB worked!! Thanks! I just removed the Ricky YaHei font pack & installed the Chinese support, then UCWEB worked!!
Thanks again for the excellent work!

GSM 10.1 on unbrand Hong Kong Touch Pro2.
I put this in Autoinstall and it's fine.

I believe that my cab is a more simplified one than that in wiki(maybe mine look complicated by telling all the principle) and I have removed all unnecessary steps for WM6.1/6.5/6.5.3, all you have to do is to install two cabs.
I'm using Plum too, Keycode.ini have to be modified to suit the Pro2 keyboard(mostly for the symbols and "C/E" switch). I have both Chs and Cht version, like 拼音/五笔/速成/比划/仓颉.
Alternative IME like A4 is also great. By the way, PlumSIP had been sold to Sohu so it's new version is called Sogou Mobile IME(搜狗手机输入法).
Hi ChiYuen,
This is wonderful stuff!!!
I'm using the HD2 with the Asian WWE 1.66 installed and it works beautifully!
Only problem is that since the english font is in bold typeface, it would be perfectly if the chinese font could also be bold.
I know I'm a little bit picky but that's perfection, man!
Keep up the good work!!!
Cheers!

I think using a cab, you could just pop in the 1 file and 1 reg entry and have the simplest solution! And still smaller
On another note, PluSip is now Sogou IME? Damn, I never liked the Sogou IME for Windows (though it's prediction is better than the MS one), I always use the Google one, as I consider it far better.

On that note, I decided to just do that:
I have attached a cab that supports Traditional, Simplified, Pinyin, and Japanese characters...
Let me know how it works!
I originally got the font file off of my first Chinese bought Windows phone. In those days the engineers at MS figured out a way to compress and simplify the font set of all needed Chinese/Japanese characters for use on devices that did not have a lot of space to spare (i.e. 16 megs).

I can use different cabs to switch fonts without touching WinCE.nls, that's why I divided my pack into two parts, part one is WinCE.nls while part 2 is the font.
In fact the Diamond font(in my first post) is not the only font cab I made, I did also make cabs including TouchPro2 chinese font, WinVista YaHei font or other chines fonts, so that I can install the font I like.

As long as you can find a font that supports chs/jap/etc in one file, you can do that.

That's all about the font. The Diamond font from HK official ROM is not a bold one. You can use your own favourite Chinese font you like, just modify my font cab using WinCAB Manager, put in your own font, change the reg entry, you can make your own font cab.
Or you can send me the font you like, I can make a cab for you.
I was looking for many different fonts but the Diamond Font is still my favourite font so far.
yeah, I guess I am just looking for the smallest size possible, while also including Japanese... I guess it comes from the day when I only had a meager 24 megabytes of storage space so I had to be frugal!
Maybe we should cab all the different font styles and post them on the wiki?
thanks for you share !

my experience with hd2, mini bluetooth keyboard and german layout

Hi @ all,
i want to share my experience with the mini bluetooth keyboard PX-2563 from Generalkeys (ordered at www.pearl.de) and my hd2 running WinMo 6.5 orig. Vodafone german ROM 3.14. First of all i have to say this keyboard is low-priced and in my opinion this is good It makes a cheap impression and i will see how long it will run. The keys are made of soft rubber, but you have to press it relative hard. So for the first time i am not faster than with the on-screen keyboard.
The keyboard is delivered with a driver-cd. Don´t touch it if you want to use it with your hd2! There is an old version of blueinput on it but this is useless for me.
My solution to get it running and have the german layout:
1. Install Fingerkeyboard 2.1 from this great forum and only activate ger as language in the options.
2. Install AEKMAP 1.3 (it´s free, you don´t need to activate it)
3. Use the .aek-file with the correct layout (attached to this post)
4. pair the keyboard with your HD2
5. have fun
So you will have in round about 20 min. this keyboard running with a nearly perfect german keyboard layout
Infos about my attached keyboard-layout:
This is my first version for this keyboard. Most keys/characters are working. The ALT-Key is NOT working. Use CTRL instead of ALT! (CTRL+q for @, CTRL+e for €, CTRL+m for \). Umlauts and special characters are also working.
regards, interceptor
Thanks a lot for this post! I received my Pearl keyboard today and was very unhappy with the delivered software and the keyboard layout! I am using it right now with a HTC HD2 and the suggested software...
Unfortunatly the "€" is not mapped as it is not mentioned in the .AEK file. I'll try to get a clue how this mapping file works and maybe the ALT key will work some day
Best regards, CN

Hi,
I know this is an old thread but i'm actually running into the same problem with a French-layout Logitech Dinovo which, when paired with both my HD2 or HD Mini running WinMo 6.5, is recognized as English (qwerty).
I'd be curious to know how to proceed:
1/ choose fingerkeyboard as phone keyboard (?)
1'/ make sure AEK has the right layout selected
2/ pair with external keyboard
The only problem would be: i don't have the french layout compliant with the Dinovo (and support seem unable to help me with this matter). How could i make one ? Does that need special skills or a special software ?
Many thanks in advance...
