Multiple language support on Xperia - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to enable both Norwegian and English language for messaging on my X1.
I can not find any keys in the registry relating to a T9 dictionary so I assume the T9 language pack will not work on an X1. It would be good if possible to enable multiple dictionaries in Office on the handset.
Does anyone know how to achieve this? Any ideas welcome.

How to add T9 dictionaries to Kaiser ?

Hi,
I have an english version of the HTC 4550, and I'd need to add a french T9 dictionary to it.
Being a former user of a Qtek 8310 with OOTB multilingual interface and T9 dictionaries, this lack of multilingual capabilities on a €750 device is quite unwelcome, and what's worst, it seems that even the tutorials posted for WM5 devices won't work, due to missing key configurations in the registry.
Is there someone who knows if a solution already exists, or who could maybe give me an hint about which changes should be made, to add this feature ?
thanks,
Andrew
Hi,
You can install HTC Phone Pad, this program is wonderful.
There is french and another language.

How to change the language of xT9?

Is it possible to change the language of the xt9 from English to Dutch on a UK/English Diamond?
On previous models like the Cruise the xt9 packs of other languages were already 'available' and with some registry changes it was possible to change the language.
Anyone already tried this out on the Diamond if this is possible? Or perhaps there's a more easy way to it (cab or program) which I haven't found yet?

[Resolved]Keyboard problem with T9 (with Asukal's e-china for Diamond)

Hi there !
Since I installed Asukal's e-china for Diamond, my compact AZERTY keyboard and my phone keyboard got stuck on numeric and T9 isn't working anymore (even on the full AZERTY keyboard)
I checked some solution on the forum (i.e. : here) but those registry values are correct.
Could anyone help me for this?
Well, actually I just only need to have Asian languages support on my French ROM but CE-Star does not support non-WWE ROM (and I don't want to flash it) so hard keys are not working even if I add the registry value
Code:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010411 "Keyboard Layout" = "00000409"
Any help for this or the problem above is welcome.
Thanks in advance ^^
Does this e-china include Chinese typing support via the standard Diamond Keyboard !
I have asian font files & keyboard SIPs for asian languages, have Thai working on my Diamond with no problems so far !
The font file I use supports chinese, Korean & Thai
I also have font file for Japanese but have not tried it on WM6.1
Well, it does not have typing support (or I haven't seen it). Actually, I don't need this. I just want to read Japanese, Chinese, etc. characters and still be able to type my messages with the French T9 (and so, using the phone keyboard and the full/compact keyboard).
*bump please ^^"*
Ok... Found out the solution here.
Hope no other bugs will show up ^^"

Greek software/hardware keyboard support (just layout)

I installed a ahmedkry's WM 6.5 ROM (WWE) and I've been trying to find a way to type greek characters using the software / hardware keyboard. I am not interested for greek ROM translation, greek menus, greek dictionaries etc. Just typing support as 2nd language (replacing the current ones: àáââäåæç).
I have already tried some registry key changes (HKCU/MUI/CurLang) to 0408 and software reset but it doesn't seem to work.
Any ideas?
Moved as not ROM Development.
Software keyboard kinda solved, by installing a 3rd-party keyboard (Zoomboard) which supports multiple languages.
However, I'm still looking for greek layout support for the hardware keyboard of TyTN II. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to share.
Thank you.

Click to collapse
Need it myself also...just updated to win 6.1.
AEKMap (h**p://ae.inc.ru/aekmap.php) or AE Keyboard Mapper should solve the problem for you. It maps external keyboards. There are preset greek layouts that you can download from the site. My Xperia X1 works that way.

How to add T9 language

Hi
I just received the phone, I've set the system language to Hebrew.
There is no Hebrew T9 dialing option in the stock phone app.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? I don't need the letters to appear on the numbers I just need the search function to operate in my language (Hebrew).
In the settings the options are: English, Russian and Chinese.
I know I can download a 3rd party phone app that support Hebrew T9 but I prefer to fix the stock one.
Thanks in advance!
