I, personally, do not need your apps (because I do not need or have them already ;p), but would like to thank your sharing because this will DEFINITELY knock out some new threads made each day that are always repetitious due to lack of searching. Great Upload! I dont suppose you have a link to a zipped file of ALL your cabs would ya? Id like to download and try them all ( esp the games ) but it takes forever to get them 1 at a time without a premium account ( takes x amount of mins between downloads after too many from a free user )

I have been "leeching" from XDA for a while now and I want to give something back to XDA.
I have a webhosting business. I am not really doing anything with it at this time. I was thinking about opening it up for XDA members for file hosting.
I HATE RapidShare and other "free" sites like it... I wouldnt do anything more than some banner ads on the site, maybe some GoogleAdSense... Nothing intrusive... I promise...
Would anyone use this COMPLETELY FREE SERVICE?

None... Its on a VBulletin just like these forums... I am going to make sure the links are "pretty" and you dont have to be registered to download them...
You will still need to be registered to POST them as attachments... if I had some kind of ftp/file sharing thing like 4shared I might use it, but I dont... so vbul it is!

Awesome idea. Most file sharing sites are blocked from my work and sometimes I see these cool apps and ROMs and I can't get them until I get home.

people always say google should do this and that have i ideas that that they freely express, want apps to sd tell them i did but i think (iphone people on there are voting it down on how i said it could be accomplished) ,new lay outs the kind of UI you would like to see tell them your ideas only ones you would freely give them to use at least all im saying instead of doing on here u can be saying it directly to them and have people vote on whether they like it or not the more votes the more likely it will be used (need gmail account to login though)

I'm the one who submits the least to this comunity, i think but!
As i read n searches trough these threads i realise one thing.
there's a need 4 hosting files. I can help with that.
Catch is the maximum file size is i have to split the files so downloaders must download multiple files. If that's not a problem i can help with that.
I can host rar's n images so You smart guy's can have your files accessible 4 a long as needed and free. I even have a gmail adress to send files to me so i can upload them to the site....
If you think that's something 4 you post here and i'll try to answer any questions you might have..

Many of us use free hosting services as Mediafire/4shared free also flip provides mirrors on his site for some chefs etc etc...
I know some of you use those free file hosting services but i read from time to time about the need for hosting or mirrors.
I can help with a "one-click per file" link that could be usefull 4 some if not all users.
Please tell me if you like the idea or how i can help.....

If someone need a link 4 a file or several files please email [email protected] and i reply with links to the files ASAP.
The files r to be uploaded to one of my sites.
i have 1.5 Gb disk space / site but maximum number of files are 5K.
The maximum file size is 5 Mb but i'll split them 4 ya!
Time spent on a medium ROM are about 5 minutes
The only thing i need to know is your XDA nic and i'll trust it's not xxx or something....

Great!!! As a suggestion, come up with creative ideas or solutions to solve the common needs. Not to publish an application by writing 5 lines of simple Anargam algorithm. Is it really useful? Not to offend/discourage, but to suggest you to come up with apps which are remembered forever

it really took much research frm my side as every word of generated anagram should have a defined meaning and not random jumbled up letters put together.....
and definitly looking forward to develop great apps!!!!

I've just added a Facebook share button and Google+ share button to my site (on the one page for testing). The site is only a hobby and I'm new to Facebook and Google+ and don't usually use those services. However, could you please check or tell me if the buttons are or are not working or doing the right thing when you press them please? (If you use Facebook or Google.)
I'm not much of a coder and spent a while looking for custom button code. Then I simply copied some url's that a couple of other sites are using and wanted to check that it's doing the right thing.
Sorry if this sounds like spam. It's all a little sad really, this being a hobby and me being 44 and all, but I do enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble.
You needn't share my site of course, but please let me know if the buttons are indeed working as they should.
If not, I'd appreciate a heads up of the correct way to do it.

LOL. I lost respect for you when I popped into your freeware recommendations (you can tell a lot about people by the freeware utilities they run) and I saw you have Realplayer in there. LOL. It is CANCER for the PC.

Thanks. The freeware isn't a personal recommendation, and I don't use some of it. I just like to think that it all helps newcomers (noobs) when it comes to the world of PC's.
I must admit, apart from trying the Android version to screenshot it, I haven't defaulted to RealPlayer in many years (if I even did).
