How do you feel on the X1 Invisible Shield?? - XPERIA X1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone~ I just bought my X1 and I am thinking of using the Invisible Shield. I realize that installing the Invisible Shield will have to spray something like water on the phone. Is it safe?? And how is your opinion on using it?? Or if you have other suggestion??
Thank you very much~~

The invisible shield is very stretchable and it gives a rubbery feel to your phone when felt. When applied to the phone, the brushed metal effect will be covered. And when you spray the solution on the shield, not the phone. Applying the shield is challenging though. If you want to see how stretchy the invisible shield, go youtyube to find out. There's videos. And when you aply the shield, really try not to stretch the shield. The screen shield will fit really nice. You've been warned.

Ive had the invisible shield on the X1 for a month, now.
I have to say, im not totally impressed, and have already removed several parts of it.
The material it is made from is brilliant. Does exactly what it says it does.
I dont have any marks on the screen, whatsoever. I originally had a cheaper screen protector on, and after 3 weeks, it was a mess of scratches.
So, If ZAGG could improve the fitting of the kit, so it covers a little better, i would give it top marks, but, for now, i think it needs improving.

I am waiting for my invisibleshield, screen only, i have my xperia since 3 weeks now and i have 2 tiny scratches on the screen, border area, want to install the shield before it's too late !!!
I already used invisible shield on my K800i and my Nikon camera, they are GREAT...

anyoen got pics with the invisishield on? i just did mine and it looks horrible...im not sure if its dust or the adhesive drying..see a lot of white spotss

not invisible then, at least at first, what about later, is it really invisible?

i heard that invisible shield changes color after certain amount of time. i mean it stains from sun lights and other stuff.

Oxidation, maybe. I had one pasted on my SE G700 B.E using SE G900 screen as the company did not come out G700 version... The person did it badly on my screen, overstretched a little and now the whole shield yellows. But it still looks good on my screen. My PSP and my X1 did not suffer "oxidation" most probably due to good application.

I have the bodygaurdz version, of which I'm guessing that the invisishield is using the same materials.
the screen protector part is invisible, probably the best screen protector ever, and I had a harder plastic type before. also, the back battery cover it's virtually invisible, if applied correctly. it took a few days for it to become super clear. the unfortunate part, is the chrome part, since the chrome is so smooth, it didn't come out as nice, and putting it in a plastic case, or in a holder will make little smudges, (which pretty much buffs out).
I'm happy so far, but I'm guessing on a smooth phone like an iphone, this thing would be badass. for the xperia, w/ all the small pieces, it's not as "smooth" looking, but the increase in grip has prevented me from dropping the phone.

DO NOT BUY INVISIBLE SHIELD FOR X1. I've had a bad experience with it and this experience (and others) is outlined in this forum here:
http://www.inxperia.com/forums/accessories/527-do-not-waste-your-money-invisible-shield.html

I have a Martin Fields protector and it's very good so far. It does collect fingerprints a bit but most do so that doesn't worry me. Also it's made of PET so it doesn't lose colour in sunlight, I think. Yellowing in other plastics is caused by UV breakdown of the polymer. There is a surface treatment that can mitigate the effect but I doubt a $2 screen protector would hace that.
I'll just add I had a look at n4v1n's link and the invisible shield does seem to be a problem for the X1 since the "Sony Ericsson" and "XPERIA" logos are printed onto the metal, which makes them vulnerable. This doesn't apply to the screen, of course, but I fail to see what's wrong with standard adhesive methods which use a type of silicone, I believe, that sticks very well and will leave no residue on the screen should it need to be removed. I applied mine at my work (which has no carpets) and that worked very well. Previously I'd done the job at home and some small dust mote always got on there, despite my best efforts. Overall I think it's inadvisable to attatch anything to the device on those two areas, whatever method of adhesion it uses.

My screen protector from zagg was crap. It wasn't even cut right it was bigger than my x1's screen :\

finally dropped my phone (well, it fell out of my old tilt holder while I was running down stairs after my dog).
the bodyguardz protected real well, except for the tiny part of the corner that was exposed. I guess I'm impressed, yet yealize that they should make the corners one piece instead of having different parts meet at the corner.

Screen protector

There came a screen protector with my Touch Dual, which works very well, i do not see any difference in using the protector or using the device without it. So anybody out there, who knows, where to get this specific protector?
Thanks in advance.
we
PS It is adhesive, which i like more than sticking it to the screen and never being able to remove it again
the one that came with mine is ok but I messed up by having some dust underneath so I've ordered a new one from here: http://www.martinfields.co.uk/dis_product.asp?model=HTC_DualTouch&modeln=Touch Dual&prod_type=screen
I've always used Martin Fields screen protectors, IMHO they're the best! plus they're ultra clear once you put them properly you can't tell

Screnn Protector Washable?
Hi..
Do you know if original screnn protector is Whashable?
Thanks
The orig. protector rocks.
I bought some from ebay and already dropped them into garbage.
Now i ordered one from martinfields and i hope this one works better for me ...
Any other experience?
i got 3 really cheap ones off ebay which are fantastic.
they're in 3 sections, you take one side off to reveal the sticky side then put it on the screen then pull the other side off to reveal the front face of the cover.
really good.

I don't know whether it's the best or not, but I had the same problem that you do.
I bought the protector from martinfields based on the recommendations in this thread, and must say that I like it better than the original one.
It is thinner, so it seems like you need less pressure to make the screen react when you press it.
I've only had it for a day, so I really can't say how durable it is...

Are the Martin Fields and Invisible Shields self adhesive?
I don't have to glue them on do I hehe
The one that came with mine I put it on properly but then I panicked slightly and thought "How do I get it back off!" so peeled one side up just to see if it would come off, then of course got all dust and crap under the edge so it looks skanky now thus want a new one.
I only managed to do that because it was slightly misaligned and a bit overlapped at the side of the screen though not enough to notice unless you looked very closely. So how do you get them off if they are put on perfectly? I know you could use a knife but you could scratch the screen and that defeats the purpose

Don't know about Martin Fields.
Go to link in above post to see Invisible Shield. If I remember correctly, they tell you how to do things on their site. I don't have one for the niki so can't tell you for sure, but have one on my ipod and it took awhile to get on, but well worth it.
Also, their customer support is very very good.

Use scotch tape. Just stick it on the face of the screen protector and lift. Simple as that.
Btw, I've recently swapped out my screen protector because I somehow got a scratch on it. Anyway, the sales recommended one that was matte finished (as oppose to glossy like most screen protectors). I have to say, it is so much better than the traditional glossy ones. The great part is the texture. It is so much smoother than regular ones. Great for sliding your finger across using Touchflo.
However, it does diminish your off-axis visual quality. But i suppose that doesn't really matter since you don't look at your screen off-axis much anyway. It may even be a plus since you might not want the person next to you to see what you're looking at...

That's a good idea! I never thought of that, I did see something on a website about using something sticky to remove it but I was thinking of blutak or something like that and thinking that it wouldn't work very well!
A bit of grit got on my screen and I scratched the protector with my stylus the other day, another reason to get a new one, but also a good reason for leaving the current one on!

I'm in Hong Kong so I just picked it up from one of many independently owned techy shops. I didn't pay attention to what brand it was (i basically just paid the guy and he opened it up and stuck it on for me). The next time i head back there, i'll take note of the brand.
Invisible Shield
Just installed the I.S. (bought on ebay) on my Niki...
It's been a pain in the neck to install...
It's really hard to prevent small bubbles on the surfaces...
Maybe on a white ipod has a better look but on the Niki black finish you'll see them..they're really really small but sometimes in a large number: the overall effect is as a dirty and scratched Niki...
Bigger ones could rise passing from the front/back to the lateral sides, in particular near the big 4 rounds.
The hole for the hands-free speaker was totally missing!
When in hand you can feel the sharp edges corresponding to its thickness ...
The original protector is a little bit "softer"
But...
I can have it in my pocket with no additional thickness...
Right now I was using the silicon case, but it seemed that I was calling with a tv remote control...
I was just gonna buy an Invisible Shield *Thinks*
Thanks for the info ohyeahar I was thinking of going for the Invisible Shield but now might just go for a screen protector and some sort of leather case-age. Dunno

Prevent scratches/peeling X1

Hi everyone,
I just got my X1 recently. I read alot on forums about the problem of paint peeling off from X1, esp on the edges.
Does anyone have good ways to prevent paint peeling or at least cover the whole X1 body and delay the peeling for at least 1 year?
Does BodyGuardz, InvisibleShield, SGP, Clear-Coat, or even GMask cover the entire X1 body, especially the shiny edges?
Appreciate any comments on the above, thanks
GMask covers everything, the rest ~90%.
thanks rickysio, any idea how much it cost to get X1 done with GMask?
I read in another forum that the GMask in Singapore Bishan Junction 8 had an incident of scratching a customer's phone >_< and initially refusing to admit liability until the customer made a big fuss out of it, does anyone has a good experience with GMasking their phones esp SE X1 ?
(Most) Small shops in Singapore mostly refuse to admit liability. Cause most owners are asshats.
Heard that BodyGuardz covers ~95% however.
I heard that GMask SG charges $39.90. My Xperia is still going about free willy, however. ;D
Does GMask covers the screen too? I just got for my X1 Martin Fields screen protector, would be a dilemma if i need to remove the screen protector in order to get it GMask >_<
If i add on GMask on top of Martin Field, not sure if it will be too think for the touch screen to work, though that would be 'double protection'
You can ask them not to cover the screen. GMask... Hmm, I have conflicting reports from users and the GMask website. One says it only covers the body (consumers) and the other says everything (GMask)
Thanks for the info rickysio
I use for my X1i the InvisibleShield. I think it took me about 2 or 3 hours to put it. The apperance changed a lot, is more shinny now (not in a good way). The InvisibleShield come with screen protection also, but the problemm is that the peel is a bit to big (about 0.5 mm in both ways) and this is the reason why on 2 edges is not perfectly sticked.
I also have 2 peels that i didn't have a clue where to put them
InvisibleShield is terribly grippy. Had one on my iPod Touch - had it changed a RACEShield, which is a similar product, but was formerly automobile only - it felt way better to the touch.
Both however, had gaps.
Has anyone tried using soft silicon cover together with screen protectors? Any downside to this set of protection?
Aside from added bulk and lint loving silicon being a bad match with pockets, the only drawback would be that some particles could get trapped between the silicon and the case and scratch the hell out of your phone - happened to my 5700.
Whatever you do don't get an invisible shield. what a piece of garbage from a garbage company
Then, the avergae suggestion would be to leave the X1 as is and take care of it? I've a got a screen protector, and was wondering about the GMask, InviShield and such products... From Brohlin's and rickysio's experiences, I guess I just made my mind
Actually I was probably going to GMask my Xperia soonish, but then I found out that I chipped the chrome somehow prior, so I can't be bothered any more.
I just applied a screen protector and stored it in a Oakley pouch. :S
My X1 is naked. Lol. I really don't care about the wear and tear of day to day use. I love my X1 and its "battle scars!"
Invisible shield isnt a bad company but there prolly are companies that off the same quality for less money. I have it on mine and no problem i also recommend it to my friends.
I dropped my phone the other day and it decides to leave ALL the impact to the upper left corner so now its cracked and shipped :-/
The most important spot to protect is the corner, which i dont thing film styled skins do

I'll have to agree on that.. however, the other bug rubber skins are so ungodly hideous... Anyhow. I think mine's gonna stay naked for now... I just wouldn't like for the back plate to get scratched.. it just looks so nice
haha i meant "chipped" btw not "shipped"
I really dont want a rubber skin either, they should make a paperthing strong alloy casing lol
i tried skinomi.
you can get it for $15 using the 25% discount coupon(google it)
its really good. It's same as invisible shield but this one fits PERFECT.
The only thing is that it makes your phone shiny, its not that bad. The back battery cover has that metallish look, but after putting the skinomi, it's unnoticeable and it just looks like a shiny fone.
and have some patience after applying it. give it about 2 days for all the bubbles to disappear. THEY DiSAPPEAR FOR SURE.
I like skinomi. Also, make sure you use a clean dust free environment.
Also, it's really hard to remove it from the screen, once it sticks. so if u plan to remove it some day, make sure u do it very carefully, as u can easily damage the screen while removing it.

question on screen protectors.

which do you think is better:
phantom skinz or invisible shield?
i tried both and invis was cloudy looking. phantomz is great but it leaves dents and impressions that won't go away.

I had the invisible shield, put it on right as I unboxed the phone, it looked perfect. Starting peeling off about 2 months later, still has a nice fit on the screen but everything else is gone. Kinda mad I spent 30 bucks.
My friend got the ghost armor on his blackberry and i think its pretty good. I would recommend that, its a bit more pricey but well worth it.
Go to BoxWave.com
Look for the Clear Touch (anti-glare)
They make the screen look VERY black when off, yet allow you very clear access when on.....make sense?
Very protective....very hard.....custom fit.
I have been using since right before the TiLt.
This is NOT a flimsy screen protector.
And I have ZERO bubbles with this brand!
Thanks,

How the hell did you manage that? I am being way careful, and with a screen protector, I have a slight scratch on the screen... Aww good though.
I have some POS ebay $3 for 3 screen protector, which has a sticky side that loves dust. The outside is clear and has some "self healing" scratch removing stuff.
BTW I found that once the protective film is removed from the screen protector ( prior to applying) it collected fine particles of dust which caused bumps and little vacuoles. It has a high static attraction cover which Can be neutralized so the protector can be positioned and moved.
The way I did it was with windex. I sprayed and wiped/removed any clinging dust. Then shook off violently any windex, so only really small droplets were left. Placed the protector in position, which now slides with a firm push. Gently squeegeed off any windex with a towel at the edge of the screen, preventing any from going under it. The result is a bump free stuck on, reuseable dust protector.
I am using
8 gauge clear vinyl.
$2.99 a square yard from local JoAnn fabric. Works very nicely. For me has been better by far than the $20.99 invisishield crap bestbuy originally put on my phone. I do not have a cloudiness issue, and bubbles are easily worked out when first applying. 8 gauge is fairly thin, if you want something a little thicker you might go with the 10 or 12. 4 gauge was way to thin for my taste.
I've had my Hero since Day 1 and carry it in my pocket and there isn't a mark on the screen. I don't think you need a screen protector with this phone.

If I recall correctly, they'll replace it for free at one of their stores (probably in your local mall.) They told me they had a lifetime warranty so any time it peeled off they would replace it.
i got one of those cheap-o screen protectors from ebay. so far its working fine since i baby the hell out of the phone. That ghost armor is lookin really good i might just have to try it myself.
I put a invis-a-shield on my phone right off the bat and had it on for the first few months but in January it started pealing off then just vanished(fell out of pocket somewhere). The phone has gone 4 months sans screen protector and the screen looks brand new and is much slicker then with the protector on in terms of friction. The phone body is starting to show signs of wear, big chunk missing in the body near head phone jack from a 12' fall down the stairs and the end call button is stripped to just red.

My review on invsibleSHIELD and zaGGskin

Hey everyone,
I recently purchases a custom zagg skin and the invsibleSHIELD ,
The zaggskin is easy to put on the back of your HD2 , its a little bit smaller, but that makes the process of putting it on easier (It took me like 2 min?),
Before the invsibleSHIELD I tried various screen-protectors , but I always had bubbles or dust underneath them.
With the invsibleSHIELD I just followed instructions , and volla , no airbubles, no dust , its makes the screen even brighter.
One negative point about it, its pricey , i ordered mine during Memorial Day (50 percent off),
Regards,
PS: Sorry for my bad english
How can a cover make the screen brighter? Are these skins polarized or something? I'm curious.
All this is rubbish, I understand the need for a big silicon or hard cover to protect your phone from drops but what is the point of the invisible shield when you cant scratch the phone anyway. There is no way it can make the screen brighter, or make you see better in the sun.
Some screen protector companies even claimed that only the person looking right at the device can see the screen, so therefore if someone was trying to peak over to see what you are doing they couldn't, well I ordered that and obviously it is not true not even slightly dimmed from the sides. so don't believe everything they say.
invisible shield
i wont take the chance of scratching my screen even if its impossible
invisible shield is not only on the front but on the back too.
its less sensitive for oily fingerprints - maybe that is why it looks a little bit brighter than without. before i had it, it was difficult to see in sunlight and now its better.
plus, the device wont slip of your hand, again do to the back cover.
so, i recommend invisible shield sincerely
cheers
thumbs down
My zagg sheild pretty much rendered my HD2 useless. The screen was really desensitized way too much. I'm not surprised...the zagg shield is so thick and durable that if I didn't have to "touch use" my screen, it would have been perfect. I ended up tearing of the $20+ protector and discarding it...

The HD2 screen can be scratched, there are examples of it on this forum, just search.
Spending $10-20 on a quality screen protector is probably the cheapest insurance you could get to protect your screen if/when you scratch the protector and the scratch becomes unbearable, spend $10-20 on a new one
Though Ive not seen one before for mobile phones, there are privacy screens for laptop/desktop monitors. These screens significantly blur the image unless you are directly in front of the screen, if you tilt the screen more than 10degrees or so the screen will blur. These are used a lot in medical/financial institutions, sensitive departments within companies like HR. Ive seen these appearing on ATMs now too
I will agree there is no protector that will make your screen "brighter" that's just about impossible, anything put over the screen is actually going to attenuate any light coming though it, though it may not be perceivable. Certain protectors may eliminate screen glare, making the screen easier to see in certain lighting conditions
ohhh yeah, believe me the screen CAN be scratched! got two very nice ones to prove it. lol

Sorry but I'd stay clear from Zagg's Invisible Shiled as it is not really effective nor fully stand their claim "as advertised".
After 3-4 months of use (in tropical countries or desert areas), the sands/dirts snug into the linings, then started to peel off little by little.
Had this product on my Fuze and then my Topaz a while back, not very happy about it.
The only good things about the product is (1)fancy retail packaging, and (2)their screen protector. Sorry.
This cover is useless. I removed it after a couple of hours. What's the use of having a screen protector that doesn't cover the whole screen? Apart from the fact that it makes the screen look ugly.

It needs to sit for at least 12 or more hours to let the solution and bubbles disappear. If you had it on for a couple of hours and not days, then you did not read the instructions If applied properly you should not see it. If it looks ugly, it was not done properly or you did not let it cure long enough before using the device.
I have noticed that not all of the plastic used with Zagg products seem to be the same. I have applied one on my Tilt2 (aka. Touch Pro 2) and it did not feel like the texture of an "orange peal" like I have seen written in some reviews. I no longer have the Invisa Shield on the screen as it started to come up on the edges by the chrome phone edging causing lint, dust, etc. to collect under. I also noticed it turn a slight yellow. The colour change was odd as I don't smoke or hang out with smokers. It could be from rubbing against the lining of my leather case I kept it in (although it has a black lining).
At my work we have a Zagg promo for Apple iPads and this is where I have come across the "orange peal" texture on a few of the installs. I don't think it is due to improper install as we always use the same solution and method of install for each one.
In short:
the pros: it protects well against scratches and minimizes the look of finger prints
the cons: could gain a yellow tinge after several months, not easy to remove dust/dirt if it gets under edges, and not easy to apply first time around for most.
My advice for capacitive screens is to not spend lots on a screen protector. The cheep vinyl protectors may not look as good but will work just as well. Remember: all capacitive screens are made of glass which will not scratch under normal use. If you keep your phone in your pocket, the chances for scratching will increase as sand or tiny bits of gravel can collect in the lining and rub against the screen. Even keys can scratch if enough pressure is applied. For those who saw the YouTube HD2 scratch test, did you see how much pressure was applied to the keys, knife, and scissors? Not enough to scratch it, add enough and it will...

How many times there have to be said that this capacitive screen is not made from GLASS, there are enough people one the web which HD2 got scratched, believe they will scratch
I have the full body zagg skin. Gotta say it's great. Simple to apply and really keeps the device from getting scratched. Even protects the corner. Don't get what the complaint above was about. It covers the screen so wtf are you talking about? Only thing I wish they'd fix is that you can't apply a skin or case over it. If you do it'll get stuck to it unless it's like a cloth case or something. Hope they fix that issue one day. Still not bad, plus I did like the OP and ordered on Memorial Day for like 12 dollars.
How does it cover the Back ?
in 3 parts does it ?
thanks

Glue softens
I have to say I was happy for around 5 months - until it started to get warmer. Then the glue started to soften and smear out from under the shield. It made the screen look a bit of a mess and ultimatly the corners started to flap about because all of the glue had gone. Contacted Zagg customer support and they admitted this can happen when warm and humid. They suggested I use their replacement service but why should I pay around 6€ for postage in both directions if as soon as it gets warm it will be a mess again. Not very impressed. I'll stick to the electrostatic screen shields in the future. Can anybody recommend one?

Invisible Shield by ZAGG for xperia play

Has anyone tried the ishield? Its cool man. WHat can you say about it?
I ordered the best skins it is same quality and cheaper price but much more clearer than zag and of the same quality. Just fitting it now takes time if you want to do a proper job like me i will upload pics of it when i am done.

I went with bestskinsever too but not fitted it yet, will do today or the weekend, can post pics if need be....
Just bought the body one as the screen protector it comes with is great and a better job than me doing it.....
I have been fitting thease things for years and can do a very profesional job of it you cannot tell there is a skin on it when i finish with it i think mine will be finished today i hope but its looking good.
I strongly dislike the Zagg protective shields. The touch feel is horrible with them on. I rather get some scratches than use them. I had one a little while on another phone but ripped it of after a few hours.
Besides. There's already protection on it? I would like to get another one of those original ones instead. You can hardly see nor feel it.
Well i guess that's your opinion.

i got mine for resale purposes, not that im planning on selling it any time soon, but a mint condition, sim free, white xperia play r800i should go for more then a scratched black one
Hi vdciii.
I've had the invisishield installed on my phone. Since you're also from the Philippines, there is an official store that installs them with lifetime warranty (if it gets torn or damaged, 400 for "shipping"). So if the protector gets loose, they can also fix it for free, just do this before dirt gets in. I got it for only P1500.
The only thing I dislike about it is that there's a certain friction with your finger sometimes that annoys me, but it works. It also gets a bit finger print dirty but nothing a good wipe can't fix.

hello!
yeah, i find it a little bit annoying too. but for an exchange of full body protection, i think it's okay for me.
But what annoys me more is the thought that not all parts are protected. the white metal on the screen part is not protected which is different from what i have seen in the sites here. i thought of double checking the other ishield for xperia play when i have time.
How's your xplay now anyway? does it still have the ishield up to now?

My xp is still protected by invishield up to now. Other than the dirty screen, I think it's good enough naked. It's just hard to find silicone/crystal cases for this phone in this country.
I have used my Invisible Shield since i bought my Play in august. Still no scratches Just bought the Play Dock too

I'm very disappointed in Invisible Phone Guard. It appeared to include more coverage bits than any others on eBay and was described as being thinner than the others and compatible with "any" case. It seems as thick as any Zagg shield and includes NO corner protection/coverage. The right-side piece only surrounds the volume buttons and does not run the length on the side like that carbon fiber style one someone else has here. Though there are pieces to cover the trim above the screen and below the buttons, it has none to cover teh silver bits on the left and right of the screen. It also includes no protection for the L & R buttons. I think the Zagg Invisible Shield option with all the extra bits would have more coverage but they don't show it on the site.
Oh, did I mention that the microfiber cloth was full of lint? Also, even though I tried to align the screen protector with the top of the screen it is touching the bottom and seems to be causing my home button to stick down. It should have been a little shorter! Before reinstalling my Otterbox Commuter I noticed that the clips that go over the top and bottom were fractured and, sure enough, they cracked through and flaked off when probed with my fingers. When I snapped in on the phone, I saw new stress fractures appear.
I'm not happy with the Otterbox Commuter either, but that's for another thread.
I dont understadn, what's the difference between this and another normal screen protector?

First of all, what do you consider "normal?" Traditional Zagg Invisible Shield screen protectors have an adhesive and require wet application, while they now have a new line of "dry" protectors that are likely more like the alternative stiff film variety (dunno. haven't seen one). The original Invisible Shield is a very tough elastic designed for things like the edges of helicopter blades and it adds what has been described as an "rubbery orange peel" texture as opposed to the smooth texture of many others. It feels a bit sticky when perfectly clean. There are many others that use the exact same material, like the Invisible Phone Guard that I mentioned earlier. Zagg charges more than most alternatives and has different options, including screen, full-body, and another that has little bits to cover every part if you are dedicated enough to bother installing it.
Its great, I have had one on every smart phone that I have had, I have never gotten scratches on it either.

I have it on mine, I think it was a bit much i payed 38$ for mine just because i got the phone for free with upgread. Its the full shield and its not so bad. Makes ur phone super glossy. For the protection its worth it. And yrs the finger doesnot glide like it did but really not that bad this phone aint cheap rimember that. Zagg works

I have had the shield before and it covers well due to it being thicker then most covers, however the feel of it is very resistive. Which I do not like.
Also, I have had 2 friends who after many months of using the shield on their phones had issues with their touchscreens going out. If I recall over time the zaggshirld will damage your touchscreen digitzer. When I finally removed my zaggshield it was all yellow.
My opnion do not touch a zaggshield yeah they really protect your phone until the touchscreen takes a crap on you.
