Battery status icon in top bar?

Does anyone know of a proven app for the Touch Diamond that can display a battery status icon in the top bar - i.e. next to the clock etc.?
You can try ArielBattery. It will show a battery icon together with percentage. It's also a free app.
You can also try the iSS Battery Monitor - this one will put a bar at the top or below the Start button whose length shows you the battery (no percentage). This one is not free, but if memory serves they have a trial version.
Exe files
How do I use these .exe files? ArielBattery is one of these. I run it from the desktop, but it says "... is not a valid Win32 application".

Run Ariel directly from your PDA. Perhaps make a shortcut in Programs. It's not a (desktop) Windows file...
Is there any way to auto-start it when I power on the device?

Sure, just copy it in your Windows\StartUp folder.
Try Batti at the link below. It's excellent and discreetly at the very top few pixels of your screen. You can colour the power state fades any way you like to match your theme i.e. I have mine from the HTC green through to black when discharging and bright white when charging.

AEBPlus.
I can't access either of them through my phone because I can't access the today screen...
Tap on the Today screen and choose action from plugin's popup menu.

I've tried a few battery apps for android to display battery power left in the task bar and I don't know which one is the best to use. Anyone have any suggestions?

The only one I have cared to use is Battery Status it's free. It use to have the actual number on the taskbar on its battery icon.. but that's gone now.. so that kinda sucks. But it's still easily accessible to me.
I am looking for others also, but this one is basic enough for me.
Battery Status - Free; will display the status in top toolbar and has a nice widget if needed aswell.

Battery Percentage

Is there any sort of battery Percentage option that I can turn on or do I have to use widgets to do this?

There's an app that does that. Battery percent for kitkat/L. Works pretty good.
I already have an app that does it. Just thought Google would have included it as a standard feature by now.

Don't know why anyone would want to see the percent. Masochists.

Question What is this Statusbar icon? - Screenshot

Does anyone know what this status bar icon represents? It just showed up on my screen today, it changes numbers constantly, from like 5% to 50%. It's not my battery percentage. It changes every second or two. I have no idea what it is and would appreciate anyone's help.

post a screenshot
Could it be the screen refresh rate? In developer options there is a toggle to show that.
So sorry; I thought I had posted the screenshot. (Didn't mean to make this a guessing game.) Here it is.

Thanks for the response. That's not it, as the option is not checked in developer options. Also, it changes almost continuously, rarely at one number longer than a second at most.

cpu usage? looks like a cpu icon next to it
Memory usage i think you activated in notification bar options
Go to developer mode, this may be CPU related
This looks like an app you have installed. Go to settings and see what is allowed to display over apps which should give you an idea.
I think it's 3c toolbox
