I dont know if theres other way to enter bootloader mode in x1...
try to search...
or maybe you can try hardspl again.

try two thinks please:
ONE:
turn of your pda by holding long time power on/off until a message comes and ask you "turning of?" (i write the short version).
than try bootlader-modus by 1. press volume down and hold 2. press power on/off and hold.
dont shocking by vibration - hold both buttons until bootloader comes.
TWO:
your pda is quite normal?
than you dont need make finger-gym. open X1_HardSPL.exe and wait two or three seconds. it extracts some files. one of this is "EnterBootloader.exe"
copy this with usb/activesync or flashcard to root of your pda. go with fileexplorer (pda) to root and klicki-micki and you straight fly to bootloader-mode.

Love it!
But yes, make sure you done hardspl first. then power off phone then hold volume down and power do not let go of buttons until multicolour screen appears.
Tin.

TBH you don't need to hardspl to get to the tri-color bootscreen, just to flash with custom roms.
And if nothing works, remove and reinsert the battery then hold power+volume-down key until it vibrates and let them go when the screen shows up.

try taking the battery out first, then putting the battery back in. make sure that the phone is NOT connected via usb cable, or else it will automatically turn back on.
then use the power and lower volume key to enter bootloader mode.

It dose not manual.
download the rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=394985
then go into bootloader [looking for how to now] bootloader is tri-colour screen
and run the exe from that download
you should be ok after that
to get to bootloader, try holding volume slider down and then soft-reset, or try up and soft-reset
the bootloader is usually side-of-device button combinations.
if those dont work, try the ront buttons and the reset button
Rory
Did it come with a CD? I think there was a copy of the manual for my Touch on the CD that came with it.

You should use that as a motto.
go to bootloader is:
hold down button and press (red) reset button
Bingo! This is the same as what the manual said. YJ

I found that the manual is wrong. The way to perform a hard reset of the Touch Diamond2 is:
1. With the Touch Diamond2 switched off, press the volume up and down buttons simultaneously.
2. Keeping them pressed, use the stylus to briefly press the red soft reset button (you’ll have to remove the back of the Diamond2 to do this).
3. Release the volume buttons when a message flashes up to say, “This operation will delete all your personal data, and reset all settings to manufacturer default. Press VolUp to restore manufacturer default, or press other keys to cancel.”
4. Press the volume up button.

Vol Down+Power Buttons are not working when trying to flash!!!

Hi,
I've searched alot for this kinda problem but it seems I AM the only one who has this problem.
I had succesfully installed R2AA0010 UK ROM 4 months ago using Micro SD Method, but now when i'm trying to upgrade it to R3A version the Volume Down+Power Button is not working and I can make it to tri color screen. (Just nothing happens)
I've tried SSPL Manual as well but it stops on screen "Loading..." and nothing is happening!
Please help!!!

EDIT: I've found how to hard reset but when i'm pressing the silver buttons they're also doing nothing. (The WM will come up normally)
I think i'm gonna lose it
You can just load the bootloader from the windows directory...
I think it is called botloader.exe
there is only 1 o... try to open that .exe bootloader should show up and you are ready to flash.

Use clear storage to hard reset....and if you are doing sd card method maybe you forgot to rename your file into kovsimg.nbh or whatever it's suppose to be

Yes, I can go to tricolor screen through windows but as i said it will stop at "Loading..." screen. I've read the instructions and I renamed it to kovsimg.nbh as well.
I cannot hard reset using the silver buttons but I did it with clear storage icon! but nothing changed!!!!
I think my topic is correct, I didn't mean that my vol down and power buttons are corrupted or damaged, I mean It's not working when i'm trying to flash!
Any Idea?

Yes, that's what I exactly did! But the normal windows will come up!
HR through settings
another way to hard reset it to go
start > settings > system tab > clear storage
then press 1234 and press yes
maybe your spl is a bit damaged cause you can't hard reset and you can't flash sspl
try flashing hspl again
to hard reset
switch off
press both silver buttons
just press power button briefly, dont hold power button.
keep pressing both silver buttons till reset screen
hope this helps.
Holy crap you guys I do not know why I triple posted...

2. Make sure X1 is off
3.-4. You can skip this if X1 is really off
5. Press on the "down volume" (the button you press to decrease volume level) and DO NOT LET GO
6. WHILE STILL PRESSING the volume down key, press the power button AND DO NOT LET GO OF BOTH KEYS until the tricolor screen appears
it still doesnt work sir,
pinoy here
are there requirements in entering bootloader?
please help me, is it required to have my memory card formatted? and my phone is fresh (hard reset)?
If you just want to update your phone, you really don't need to use SEUS. Just flash the WWE R3A stock ROM (it's in the stickied thread in the ROMs section) using the RUU (activesync) method

but in this case it think it's very important to say that it's only that simple if he want's to flash a stock-rom!!!
(meaning "an original rom by SE")
@dlegendkiller:
if you ever want to flash a custom-rom then first read about flashing hard-spl and then do it before flashing custom-roms. if not, you can get into serious trouble. (it's easy and save if you follow the instructions)

honestly, i think you're either doing something wrong here OR your volume-button is broken. regardless of your sd-card you should be able to enter bootloader-mode (the tri-color screen).
are you really doing it this way? to test do it without the usb-cable attached:
- turn your phone off completely
- press your volume-down-button and keep pressing it
- now press the power-button and also keep pressing it
you'll know when to release the buttons yourself.
anyway, can i get some advantages in updating my rom? i really am scared to install custom roms, i might break the phone
and i want to install manila hd, i am wondering why i cant install it
its about "system permissions etc etc"
does it require custom rom?

please i need serious help .....

hi ...
i have HTC opal and from while i have install a new ROM and it's work ok
then after two week .. my phone does'nt work he hang at boot screen
is there any way to format it with out it working .... please any help .
try a hard rest
Don't worry, your device is not damaged. Follow the guide here to fix your problem:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=685025
Note that you'll lose all data on your device when performing this fix. Hope you have a backup at hand!
Essential thing to be known:-
1. Bootloader mode Knowing how to enter into Bootloader mode is one of the most essential thing to be known for a opal user (windows mobile users).
How to enter?
There are two way to enter into bootloader mode.
1. If you device is on, open your device's back cover. Press the soft reset button ( red button ) using stylus. As soon as you press it, immediately press the volume down button and keep holding it until you see a tri-color screen on your device's screen.
2. If your device is off, press the power button as soon as the device vibrates immediately press volume down button and keep holding it until you see a tri-color screen on your device's screen.
Uses?
If you flashed a damaged rom, you would be no longer able to use your device. In that case enter into bootloader mode. And flash a different rom.

[Q] HTC One stuck on bootloop/no hardware keys

Hi, wondering if you guys could help me.
My HTC One is stuck on bootloop. I tried to install a GPE rom with S-ON and now it get's to the first screen of the setup and restarts itself. The problem is the volume keys are defunt therefore I can't get into recovery to flash another rom.
Is there anyway I can force the phone to boot to recovery or to hboot ? I tried to «adb reboot recovery» on boot but with no luck.
Really appriciate any help.
Put it under a light and try to longpress Power and vol-.
HI Guich, thanks for the reply.
I did try what you suggested: shined the flash from another cellphone on the One, at the top where the sensors are, and long pressed power+volume-. If I hold the buttons the phone will just restart endlessly and if I let go of the power button and hold the (defunt) volume- the phone will try to boot as standard.
What would the light do to the phone ? Is it supposed to trigger some of the sensors ?
Thanks!

His intention was to re-verify whether you were pressing the volume down key and not the volume up key. There are no hidden sensors im aware of. if nobody else can give u a solution, the only choice wud b a motherboard replacement frm HTC itself

Strange.
If you longpress under the light, theoritecally, it have to boot into the bootloader...
raghav kapur that's what I trying to avoid
Guich it boots because the volume button is broken.
I think my only chance is to, some how, force the phone to get into recovery or hboot whilst booting I just don't know how I could do that without the volume buttons.
Just another bit of information.
When I've got the phone connected to the pc, Windows tries to install an MTP device but never gets to finalize the installion because the phone reboots. If I leave the battery flat and then plug it in, with the charging animation on the phone, Windows tries to install an 'unkown device'.

Ah, sorry, my mistake.
If you've a broken vol- you don't have a lot of chance...
It's an unknown device because it don't boot.
