today when i connected my Diamond to pc via disk drive , i realized that every file in my phone is changed and some folders like my documents is gone .....
and my programs in my phone is not running and all of my pics and vids is gone ....
how can i fix this or restore my documents ..... PLZ help .

When you have the phone connected to the PC as an external hd, the external memory (4gb) on your phone is "blocked" on your phone; you cant access it from your phone while connected. And if you have apps installed (and pics/videos) on your ext. memory, they won't work unless you disconnect from the PC. You can access the ext. mem while using Activesync. Hope this helps.

If restarting a few times (that worked for me in the past 4th time was the charm) doesn't work, go with a soft reset and if needed a hard reset... but you loose the apps and information if it gets that far.

Hello guys , i have a big problem , i can't access to my mass storage ..
When i connect my Diamond to the computer , it is said that i have only 82mb of free space , it is also the same in the settings option , in the hardware information.
Finallt i try to clear my internal storage , an error appear , saying " Tha mass storage cannot be accessed "

I believe internal storage is not available when connected to a computer. If you disconnect the computer the storage should be available.
The internal storage isn't visible (on your Diamond) when you connect the Diamond to your computer when in external drive mode. When you connect through Activesync, you should be able to see the internal storage of 4gb.

Yes it is. What`s the hell Drive mode for ? WHen you connect it as External Drive you have new Device you must wait a minute, windows install drivers for it and then you can see it as new "Partition" like you connected USB stick
Well i've been looking for a solution the whole night , i didn't find anything . I tried both to connect with active sync , and on hard drive mode, my the problem still the same . + in the storage card menu , i is said that the storage card is not installed .... how to fix this problem ??
Go to Settings -> Memory ->Storage card -> Total storage card memory : ???
if you have there nothing then your device is faulty. For me it`s 3832.50 MB
i already explain that i have nothing here ... Seems the storage card hasn't ben installed ... Should i install a new rom ?
well you can try to flash new rom but this rather seems to be a faulty device
Internal Storage lost
HI my touch diamond has the same problem.This is the 2nd phone iv had to have this fault . my first went wrong after one day then the replacment phone went wrong after 3rd day. orange have no answer to the fault as yet. i find it strange that my first phone and then the replacment phone both developed the same faults. the onling thing in common being i used both phones in mass storage mode to load up music files and then the next day fault there. if that any help in resolving this issue need mine fixed to

Please does anybody know what´s the best program to recover data from internal storage?? It´s very strange, but after flashing new ROM my internal storage is totally clear - I lost 3,5GB of data
I tried Power Data Recovery - that works, but it found only half of lost files..
My backups from PIM backup were also stored on there so how to recover it??

I never make and backups.. and after flashing the device all the data on internall storage remains intact.. as it should be.. Flashing shouldnt have to do anything with your internal storage..

I know I did it manytimes...but this time after rebooting and standard first launch it rebooted again n started the same process again
So I lost all data n really don´t know what it caused...is there any way to recover it??

Some HardSPL have the possibility to clear Internal Storage as well. When you perform Hard Reset procedure: just after you press 3 magic keys and get color boot screen, you get the gray backround with the message like: "Press VolUp to reset (or resume defaults) the device"..
I guess Olinex SPL got second one: Press VolDown to reset and clear the InternalStorage...
I guess this may be the problem.

Thx man I´ll try it...for me is most important to recover some jpg photos and PIM backups files. By "Power data recovery" I found 70% of all lost data, but most of the pictures-photos are corrupted n I don´t know how to fix them.
Edited: Yes this issue with HardSPL I probably have, ´cause like I wrote, after flashin new ROM the phone after first launch n installin all of apps reseted itself n the process was simillar like when you do Hard reset manually - after restart it wanted to press vol up to boot - that means it made Hard reset I think n I couldn´t stop it)))
Edited: So I tried about 5 programs n did number of scans with the same results - 372 files found, but at least two thirds of them are corrupted or damaged so can´t be recovered..unfortunatelly most of the "health" files are mp3s n its´ tags (pictures) n that´s all (theese i got in my pc), all 48 wallpapers (also got in my pc), but only 3 photos n no backup file...I´m f....ing IDIOT that I never backed up these files to my pc

I have a similar problem - I've lost important data from my Diamond. I've tried recovering it with few programms (Easy Recovery, Power Data Back) and they've found most of lost files from Main Storage. But the problem is that these programms don't detect Internal Storage, so I can't even try recovering my data from it...Is there any way to make the programms see Internal Storage (if yes, which..?) or maybe I should change sth in settings of Internal Storage?
2months before i accidantly formated internal storage.
tried wih few apps(o&o,norton...) result was almost 0
than i installed recover my files and i succed to recover almost ecerything.,so try with this app,hope i helped.

OK we all make mistakes but yes me too I cleared the 4gb drive when conected to my PC thinking it was my usb pen drive DOH!
but i recovered 85% using EASEUS data recovery software worked a beaut...

as of now I dont have an idea
just to understand it better: did you transfer them while sd was in x1? if yes, via active sync\wmdc or disk drive mode?
in the former connect method data is converted, but even then it should not dissappear completely...
what i did is just cut and paste using resco explorer and windows file explorer and the weird thing is that it only happens with video files and it still happening ,its not a one time thing.

Hi guys... iesterday i was searching for some apps for my X1 so i plugged it with usb to my pc and i went in Disk Mode. after coping some files on the SD, i rebooted the phone 'cause it has crashed (yeah i got some problems with my rom when i recive sms..).
When it has started it was already plugged with the usb and sense didnt loaded the background. i thought it was because in disk mode the phone cant access the sd, so i didnt do nothing, but when i disconnected it, with total commander i wasnt able to access the \Storage Card
in Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory -> Storage Card
it says "Not installed". It means that i got no sd on it, but.. if i connect the usb again, i can access my files and, i've put there a KOVSIMG.nbh and i've updated the Radio of the phone, so the sd is ok and it can access it. Just WM cant use it...
someone has some ideas?!?!

OK guys I am in a bit of a Pickle here.
I plugged my phone into a PC in Bangkok to print out some PDFs containing flight information.
the pc started making .exe files on my phone with duplicate names of existing folders. e.g i have a folder called media on my phone so an exe called media.exe was created DCIM.exe and so on.
i plugged the phone into my laptop and ESET found a high amount of infiltrations over 400 which it cleaned by deleting. these were all the duplicate . exe files that it flagged as worms and Trojans.
now when i plug my phone into my laptop only certain files are visible. this is on the external SD and the phone itself. the files exist on the phone and SD card as i can see them all in in the explorer app such as all of my pictures and music camera photos etc, but alas the pc will not display these folders but when i click properties on the drive name in my computer it shows the free and used space correctly.
please do you have any suggestions ? my phone is rooted and i am using the alliance ROM. and do not want to brick this device just because of a stupid Asian virus.

Cuz in JB there is an issue with mtp of not displaying all files.
In ics, you can try to format your internal sd card and restore the data and check.
For this boot into recovery. Go to mounts and storage and mount usb storage. Connect to pc and this time you should see everything. If yes, copy all data to pc and format the storage using pc or format/emmc. Then put back the data. Reboot and check.
It is Alliance Rom ICS. so you mean format the phones SDCARD and the External SD card in recovery mode ?

What is the use?
If he formats it he will lose the files he is trying to access.
I have the same problem but I don't have any viruses. Just ask the photos from the last two months don't show when viewed from a Windows PC across a USB connection.
