WM6.1 AKU1.0(build 19199) RAMDisk-16MB Pagepool size-32MB for Hima(Updated 23.03.08)

Friends,
WM6.1 ROM cooked using AKU1.0 (build 19199) is finally out for testing. The size of the OS is increasing with every release of new build. The tailoring of those new builds to fit into the small ROM size of the Himalaya is definitely becoming a challenging task. And all the more to ensure the functionality of the main feauters becomes still more challenging. On the first inspection of the OS i thought that it would not be possible to fit this build into the Hima and this is the end of the road. But I think that the end of the road is still few mile stones away.
The released ROM uses 32MB of pagepool and the RAMDisk is 16MB. You would like the speed of this ROM. With this the memory structure becomes as follows:--

Oops double post...too exited..

Installed it and now running it. One thing I didnt get in this.
I usually use TomTom 6, the version I have it looses the backlight when I run it, so I downloaded a backlight fix from this forum. Now the problem is when I overwrite the org exe file with the fixed one, it does not allow TomTom 6 to run. It gives Certificate Error message.
Could you please help what is this Certificate Error message? and how to overcome this.
Rest is working perfectly, I loved the PIM Backup Utility it backed up all my data and restored it just fine.
More will post when I finish testing it.

If the ROM was without the:
- WM5 newMenu
- Tray launcher
- WkTASK
- Shut XP
...it would be perfect. But that just me. It's a great work nonetheless! But please answer me these questions so I could customize things for myself. Is there a way to disable the WKTask? Maybe a way to unlock the rom files and delete the WKTASK.EXE manualy? There isn't a shortcut in STARTUP. Maybe there is a setting somewhere to switch WKTASK to not run at reset? Please help!

dont get confused between RAMDisk and pagepool. The opening page correctly states let me repeat as follows:
RAMDisk: 16MB
Pagepool: 32MB
Program memory: 77MB

If you dont find them useful, simply disable them. traylaunch, Wktask ShutXp all three can be disabled without any prob...

by simply create a text file and name it: "SDConfig.txt" and save it to the ROOT of your "Storage Card" (Don't put inside any other folder).
Then you simply fill the text with something like this:
Simple/Basic Example: if you want to install all your favorite "CABs" stored inside a folder called cabs,
Then the SDConfig.txt should be like this:

I tried to use the Jade Kitchen, but I really don't know how does it works, so I am not able at all to create my own lite rom.
Can you please help me? I really need an clear explanation of the steps in order to create and to flash the rom in the device??

Ok i got it fixed.... i will upload it soon...
This time is for public use, so i put back the OFFICE apps.... but without the ONE NOTE

I installed this ROM and then installed Manila (the version with Footprint). The keyboard got back to normal after that!

Wonderfull... but the apps still in BETA steps... and it still got Issues
Well, you feel free to try it..
you can always uninstall it later... or HARD RESET to go back to STOCK LITE.
I decide to keep the LITE rom clean and free of bugs..

I think thats a good idea... you can simply install any version you like and you also able to uninstall it... and change to other version and so on..
its better that way than embedded the apps into the rom.. once it cooks into the ROM, it can't be remove.. and cost you precious space...

ive played around with a few 6.5.x builds & the cabs in this post give something of a workaround.

actually already using that . it's not perfect but it works. But thanks for helping out! makes it a lot easier sometimes.

I can hardly wait for completing this rom!!!
Now flashing 1.7.1 ... but happily will flash it again when 6.5.x is ready!!!

hi,do you mind use this instead of showcase?

and can showcase be disabled?if it can,just ignore my first question
as we can just disable it and install other task manager.

also,i hope the battery icon can be same with the one on older megade.can wait it anymore

hi well tommy did say its a beta may be UC is not still available on this ROM just try it u can always change to what ever u want latter

Yes the UC works - but I have quite a few cabs and the process is SLOW or hangs, even with multiple restarts and eventually Hard Resets
I ended up changing the folder name from Cabs to another so that it wouldn't work. Then installed my cabs manually.
The ROM is fast and so far no issues ....

hey Tommyyyyyyyyyy rom looks stylish and awesome u def rock with this new rom i have few inputs from my testing
free ram 74mb without touch flo, rom is very fast and stable no issues..
do us a favour.. pls give us a clean / lite rom once you release ur full rom
hope ram goes more than 74mb and also faster than overload..

How can i enable that applications close on X?
They keep running in the background after i close them and i cant find the entry in the settings
