09.04.09 - Info on v5.06:
This rom is using the new runCC from HTC, wich means that the old customization is byebye..well, not totaly, but its improved.
When the rom boots up, you will come to the screenalignment...but you might not be able to finsih it, the device might reboot, but dont worry...
If so, you will get to screenalignment again, this time you will be able to finish it, but do not wait to long, cause runCC has a timer buildt in, so be ready to do the setup, or else you will reboot again...
This is both a bug and not a bug, Im on to fixing it in future release.
Why did I implement this and not keep the old system???
runCC has many benefits, but its mostly for chefs, since it makes the use of provxml files in packages obsolete.. (dont pm me and ask for it, I releasing it in "share center" with a tutorial when its ready for release)
But what you guys are gonna notice, is that this process is more easy on ram and storage...thus speed and stability..and so on...
Edit: In this rom you must run Connection setup manualy.

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms

My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Flash via micro-sd method

1. Copy 2330fc3c_manila from your windows directory onto your PC
2. Download SQLite Administrator.
3. Download WeatherDatabaseEditor 1.2 and install to your device (you won't actually be using this but it adds a reg key that is essential to making this work. (I'm not sure what it adds but this is what the orig instructions I read said to do))
4.Open the manila file using SQLite Administrator on your PC (make sure you select all files when trying to open or it wont show up) then select the "Edit Data" tab and highlight cities in the tree on the left, all you gotta do now is pick a city you'd never use and edit the CityName, Country and accuweathercode to match the city you plan to add.
5. Place the edited copy of 2330fc3c_manila into your windows directory and soft reset the device.
6. Go into the TF3D weather tab and select your city from the list (this will also add your city to the calender tab)
Enable proper encoding for accented letters in Opera on installed version:

First the nice new; HTC Designed this so it must be cool. Startmenu
this gets rid of the programs tab (as it's a WOFT) and makes the startmenu fingerfriendly n stuff. I've set the top three as HOME/CONTACTS/SETTINGS. the icons are the included ones, they might not appeal to everyone, if they don't then you need to phone HTC and complain to their graphic artists.. Personally I think they're ace..
Okay here's cab for webpanel support, to get google/live and other html panels working properly.
I think it should work multilanguage, but probably won't, there's stuff in the Provxml to set the mui file (but there's no mui file in the 409 version)! so can't say it will work for anylanguage other than WWE.

if you're getting stuck on endless reboots
then try in order
A) hard reset.
B) remove the SD Card (it's likey something you have set up such as UC isn't working well with this)
C) remove the Sim
D) do all three..
It should take from SE logo disappearing to end of first reset about 1minute 40 seconds to set up.
If You want to stop opera running in the background all the time, then change in the registry HKLM/software/htc/PushInternetEngine/ Enable to 0 and soft reset.

When I try to lock my screen (pressing the key button), I get the error that the file 'EndKey' cannot be opened... etc.

Can't activate Bluetooth, tells "no hardware present". Seems 21040 does not have bt xip, you need to use a previous or more newer one
Other than this, this rom looks great and it's also FAST!
Guess this is a silly question, but do we know if the sms issues of 4.5 are resolved? (I'm downloading now so i can flash and test, just curious!)

Judging from the screenshot the program tab is back in. Does this mean the old startmenu is back aswell? I really liked the start button linking to the program tab. Is there a way to remove the program tab and connecting it to the start button again?

The Rom is based on X1i_GENERIC_SE_CDF1215-3315_R2AA006.
That is the new official SE Rom for SWEDEN, i tweaked the rom to be the fastest ROM right about now. and also added better powersaving settings. Also added touchflo 3D with daviduck background, and installedthe apps to make all touchflo 3D applications work, as well as youtube.
Volymecontrol(modded with hardwarekeys to change system volyme as first choice instead of telephone). added my Actionscreen to powerbutton (hold pwr butt. for 3 sec., lots and lots and lots of tweaks, added custom taskbar icons.
PS. THE CLOCK IS NOW ORIGINAL WHITE WITH BLACK NUMBERS.

Xperia Xion 2.2 news. Nothing new but all fixes included and added better youtube playback, better performance (new driver yet agian, same speed, but less slowdowns than 2.x, and much much more stable and no taskbar icons installed (original left in ROM, untouched). (you can add them by downloading any above taskbar(or search).) and i will be addaing back the white clock, but keep background, diamond 2's album and calculator will also be incorperated, and i updated applications to latest. THIS ONE IS STABLE AND FAST...

here is the flashlite cab that supports opera, but pages with flash will be VERY slow, so hold your stylus in a flash animation and in options select medium or poor quality, it will look good because of the small size of screen and load faster.

The other version xion 1.1 works just fine. What can be wrong? Any good answers out there?

HMMM. cant tell you whats wrong right now, iv'e flashed mine with this rom when testing different files about 10-20 times, and no problem what so ever.
when flashing is battery 100% or charger plugged in? did you try to input pin code just before oem updates (cab installation), or just before the device resets it'self? battery should always be 100% or charger plugged in (not PC) and always use SD card flashing (make sure SD card is FAT32 and standard kluster). iv'e just spoked to my friend SonyEX1 and no problem there either.
TRY flashing agian from SD card, with charger plugged in, and dont touch the phone before its completely done, after last reset. Don't forget to download the new zip file (the first had error in it, and it affected the nbh file).
Hope you get it running, otherwise PM. me and i'll see what i can do.

HMMM. cant tell you whats wrong right now, iv'e flashed mine with this rom when testing different files about 10-20 times, and no problem what so ever.
when flashing is battery 100% or charger plugged in? did you try to input pin code just before oem updates (cab installation), or just before the device resets it'self? battery should always be 100% or charger plugged in (not PC) and always use SD card flashing (make sure SD card is FAT32 and standard kluster). iv'e just spoked to my friend SonyEX1 and no problem there either.
TRY flashing agian from SD card, with charger plugged in, and dont touch the phone before its completely done, after last reset. Don't forget to download the new zip file (the first had error in it, and it affected the nbh file).

Ive done exactly all that, it just dont seems to be right. Maybe something is wrong with just my phone!? HOPE NOT!
Ive tried to reflash with another rom TOUCH IT V3.5 and it works just fine.
I download a new rom file (third time today ). I now im doing the reflash, hard reset, all with the ac plugged in. This time it was the green orginal theme, it was black last time, i guess? Holds all my thumbs for this one to work! LAST RESTART! waiting.....

My phone always freezes after I switch to another panel. Actually this switch works fine, but when I press the X-panel button second time for as switch back from ex. spb panel the phone freeze and I have to remove battery.

How to get the Touch-IT Xperience:
Hard-SPL is needed if you wanna flash custom roms

My tips on how to flash a custom rom:
-Do not let battery be below 50%
-Keep the device on a secure location (so that it wont fall and loose connection to your pc during flash)
-Enter bootloader (rainbowscreen) pressing power button and volume down simultaneously (hold the buttons untill you enter bootloader)
-Connect to pc (activesync)
-Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow onscreen instructions
Please read here to get the best xperience with my roms
-Do a Hard-reset after flashing is done
-Wait with installing any apps/progs until you have tested the performance and stability of the rom.
-Tweaks and regedits are allready set to max up the performance, if you install tweaking cabs or other performance cabs, they might not
work well with this rom, and can ruin the performance of the rom.
-Before reporting bugs, try think before you post; is it related to something you have altered?
-Missing programs is not a bug. I do not wish to have comments on why this and that are missing. Get a cab..
More Info on v7.0:
-Opera that is cooked in is not supporting HW keyboard, install Opera from X1. But note that this will disable other functions like in.ex push internet.
-The HTC camera is set to 5mp res. Change this to 3, or else it wont work.
-Sollution to change right softkey found here
-Dialer do not have lanscape supported. This is because we dont have one that works with this manila.

- manila-sms in landscape, the text bar covers the last message ( This seems to be designed that way by htc, to give space to the little popup tab at the bottom)

I installed the 5.061 the other day and I reallt don't want to flash my phone again if "it aint worth it" if you know what I mean...

I think there are some improvements.

None, none at all.
Don't bother flashing it, it'll just waste your time, afterall it only took us a week of testing and re-testing to come up with it..

I've read somewhere that Itje said the V7 is based on a newer build which contains bugfixes from HTC itself, but he didn't say which "bugs" are fixed.

HOWTO use the kitchen:
Make sure your phone is plugged to an AC or at least charged at 50 percent BEFORE flashing!!!
Check FAQs and HowTos below for further information
Install files from "_PREREQ" folder before flashing!!!
"SASHIMI" has to be unzipped to your storage card
Password for the archive: BuddyCount4XDA-DEV
Extract the kitchen to a root folder without spaces
(e.g. "D:\Blackstone_WM65")
Start "erviuskitchen.exe"
Select "Load ROM"
Choose "23016" configuration
From the list in the middle make your package selections, by doubleclicking
Make sure "Real WM 6.5 AKU" is checked
Hit "Create ROM"
When everything is built, the window for flashing appears. Cancel it, I recommend flashing by Micro-SD (see FAQs)
FLASH HSPL 1.56 from "_PREREQ" folder
FLASH "Radio_1.14.25.24" from "_PREREQ"
Finally FLASH "ruu_signed.nbh" from "RELEASE_Blackstone" folder (see FAQs)
REMEBER TO HARDRESET!!!

General notes:
The kitchen and its folder structure is designed for easy use. Extensions and packages containing a leading "_MY_" where modified by me (Mostly to meet CPL numbers and links in german rom folder structure.) So if you update them, watch out for the "app.reg", "app.dat" and "*.provxml" files to meet the kitchen structure. The "OEM" folder contains command files for language specific folders and CABs installations for the first startup and the customizing. (I will explain that in more detail, when writing the FAQs).

BUGs and fixes:
I spent a lot of time bugfixing the manila Rhodium issues and other language specific errors. But most bugs have been fixed, so the ROM runs really smooth. Its ready for daily use!
Known issues:
SRS WOW causes Media Player volume control not to work properly. (So don't use it right now)
Backlight, lightsensor & auto lock times (perfect settings have to be found)
Energy-Management log doesn't work
"Windows Live Search" is not german
Comm Manger: Bluetooth ON/ OFF switch not working (FIX: Tap to the left of the switch and watch the taskbar for the Bluetooth icon)
Leave "push internet engine" to save about 10 percent of RAM
Manila is hungry and consumes a lot of RAM
If u choose all APPs, when building, be patient!!! First boot will take a lot of time (but will succeed!).

I personally like the grey background, but you can change it for the today tab, by the manila options. The other tabs will stay grey, I will fix that. Think I_m gonna edit some manila files like showaco. If you got already fixed mainal files, 4 wvga, let me know and I'll update the kitchen as soon as possible.

@pg2005: By now every app I got works with WM65. (Really!) Only issue: No WVGA Fix 3 app, but I only needed it for ScummVM and you can rotate the screen, so that WVGA Fix 3 is no longer needed by me.

Sure you can add your programms, any programm installed will show its icon in the WM65 honeycomb start menu, hi-res icons for the WM65 honeycomb menu have to be made manually and some changes to the registry are needed. But I almost made/ converted icons for many apps. If its a useful app, I can add it to the kitchen later on. A FAQ on how to add apps will follow.

@jammysunny I ported all the MUIs, as I said in "THX to" to the SYS base from sparkienl. There is no official WM65 release yet.
I was trying around with different bases for several weeks, running stable, this is not an issue of the mui. I will build some releases today, to track that failure down. It will be running smooth. It may be an issue of some registry setting or a driver in the new OEM COMMON driver folder I used. Maybe the base is the problem, didnt had that with 21812. (MS changed sth with the Lock slider, it is acting faster in this release, so I guess they also changed some reg settings for the power manager). But I changed some more things, so I have to track this down first. I will edit the first post then.
This is one of the last big issues, I use this kitchen/ ROM on daily basis and everything else works fine. So if anyone tracked down the failure himself, please PM me.
Though WM65 is final accoring to MS, there are also many new releases after that point, I think they are still improving little things. If I find a newer base version, I will test and release it. By now Im just trying to track down the last issues. So we have a smooth and stable running WM65 with lots of packed features... And anyone can build the packages he want to his preferred ROM.

THX! I updated the OEM drivers and I'm testing right now. By now, no more freezing in standby, but phone has to recharge at the moment, I will test further, when battery is charged. The standby freeze is one of the last big issues, size reducing and memory otimization is just much time intensive, but not that hard. As well as porting to WWE.

A: This is not a bug is a feature. The new album v3 does not rotate the picture but the menu and gestures will rotate based on orientation.

A: Follow these steps:
Go to Start - Settings - Connections - Connections
Go to the right tab, click on Select Networks
In the drop down menu (first one), select T-Mobile MMS, and then Edit or whatever the button is below.
Click Edit again, leave the network name as is, and then change the access point name to: wap.voicestream.com
Finish that, and then in that drop down menu from step 3 or whatever, reselect T-Mobile Data. Then close out, and send MMS's.

How to improve battery life
- If you do not use 3G, goto Start\Settings\Personnal\Phone click on the Band tab an change your network type to "GSM".
- If you do not use Bluetooth, goto Start\Settings\Connectionsl\Beam and disable "Receive all incoming beams".
- Make sure that on Wi-Fi Settings the Power Save Mode is set to "Best Battery"

A: Just download the cab above for your native Language, copy it to your TP2, install it on device and reset, after that you can delete the Cab.

A: Sorry, I pick the Manila Lang files somewhere in this forum and I am not sure that all Langs are 100% well translated, and as you can imagine I dont speak that many Languages.

A: The full pack of manila files can be installed with no problem, but will create on your device windows folder more or less 500 files (7 Mb), and this will make your device slow. If you install your native single Cab this will copy only 36 files (300K)
Q: What about WM 6.5, is it translated too?
A: NO, this is only for Manila Sense 2.1, WM 6.5 stays in WWE.

Opera Problem
Rom looks great. Love the color scheme and icons. However, Opera will not launch. I get the "HTC Loading..." splash image, then it disappears, and nothing. Tried running from Internet tab and OperaL.exe directly, same result. I tried hard reset, no help either. Opera 10 beta seems to launch just fine. I'm using an AT&T branded (Tilt2).

Try to install opera 9.7 found here. I have cooked this Rom with Opera 9.5 and it seems to be issues when running 9.5 and Opera 10 at the same time.

Rom is running smoothly so far. Fast and stable. Only one problem though beside the opera issue. I can not log in to facebook through account manager. Does anyone else having the same probel?

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, I have already tackled opera issue. As for facebook, yes it works greart through the contact card, but the account manager avails the option to view facebook contacts' albums through the album tab in Manila and this is the part that is not functioning properly.

Yes it can be unistalled just goto Settings Tab -> Application -> Remove Programs and than remove gfreek V6 test 1 Brians Taskbar.
Soft reset to revert to default taskbar.

I have had quite a few issues with this ROM so far. 1) During installation of some files (Flexilis and My Phone update), the phone froze and would not complete the installation. I soft reset, after about 15 minutes then it would not boot up again. 2) I just downloaded some files from e-mail, then the HTC Sense would not start up. My home screen displayed "Press here to start HTC Sense". I pressed and nothing happened. I then soft reset, and it hard reset the device. Now it's at the setup again with all the files I installed, removed. 3) Installed the keyboard fix and soft reset, then it would not start up and got stuck at HTC Touch Pro 2 screen. This was on the AT&T Tilt 2. This all was after a 2nd flash, with no issues, and hard reset after the flash. Going back to v1.5 until another update.

Sorry about that but it is strange as I flash it a couple of times during trial tests with no problems. Did you try to flash it from SD Card?
Anyway, is there anyone with the same problem?
I flashed to some other ROMs just looking around, then flashed back to v2. I don't have the same issues as before. The only thing now, I was going to the menu and it showed a double blurred view of the icons. Soft reset and it was fine and hasn't done it since. It hasn't reset on me again, or froze up; so I'll keep testing it and see what happens.
i have tested version 2 from the first and it looks very good...like the facebook integration in album so i can upload photos directly.great!!!=)

This ROM is based on the At&T Tilt2 2.10.502.4 and HTC 2.07.401.1 ROMs. It comes with Manila 2.5.20121225, with a custom facebook tab includes the newer HTC Messaging Client which doesn't freeze, a custom Rhodium Keyboard driver by tarkim, arkswitch task manager with a custom black theme, and a custom Sense 2.5 Windows Media Player Theme. This ROM is UC enabled, and has a fairly stock feel to it.

Included with Arkwitch is a mortscript I wrote that runs periodlically and makes sure that ArkSwitch stays loaded.
Reg files are associated with FDCSoft task manager so you can import them by tapping on them in File Explorer.

First impressions of the ROM
Pretty good! Basically all stock like he said, and a smooth experience so far.
Free RAM: About 102.55 MB after flashing and setting up email, then restarting.
Free ROM: About 245 MB
HTC's Manila Messaging is fully featured, and sending MMS messages works by default on T-Mobile.
Start menu has 5 columns, which is decently finger friendly.
Keyboard is fully working for T-Mobile, as are all the other button mappings. Not sure if AT&T will have the same seamless experience, but they can always install a CAB to fix that.
After updating QuickGPS and enabling AGPS, GPS locked in less than minute.
Free RAM lingers at around 75,000 K after some use of the phone. Really good so far!
If anyone has a problem extracting the ROM file, try updating 7Zip to the beta version, that worked for me.
I think something went wrong when you compressed the NBH file into 7Zip.
I have the 7z file downloaded, 141,569 KB, but when you try to extract it with 7Zip, you get an error, Unsupported compression method for 'Ava.TP2.050_Public.nbh'.
The NBH file extracts but has no actual size, 0 KB.

Something must have gone wrong during the upload. The archive is fine on my computer. I'll download it to test and if it's broken I'll re-upload it.

Well 4.65 is the latest official release of 7Zip, but I just installed the beta version (9.15) and it extracted it properly. All is good!

That will increase the MMS send limit to 1000 K, allow the MMS pictures to be sent without getting shrunk (currently Manila Messaing compresses the picture down to about 3 K when sending, or when recieving... try sending a pic to yourself and you'll see ), and it also sets the MMS to send via the active data connection, so it doesn't have to terminate the existing data connection just to send/recieve a pic.
It's just some registry settings, and if you can get those bundled into the ROM, your ROM will be just about perfect! Oh and that CAB is setup for T-Mobile. AT&T's config might be a bit different, idk.

I replaced the archive with a zip file. It's bigger, but it works with the built in windows zip handler.

The mms fix is listed above in the "fixes" post. I decided to include it as a separate cab since I don't know if it will screw up settings for other carriers.

That's because Toadlife chose not to include Windows Live in the ROM. No problem, just install it!
Go to the Marketplace (Start -> Internet -> Marketplace), and search for "Windows Live". It should be the first result, called Windows Live, so click it and install it. Then, restart your phone after installing and finally open your Start Menu, click on the Windows Live app, and set up your MSN account!

Oh I had one comment, you may have already noticed it: the End button doesn't do anything, are you going to fix that with your update? I'm not sure if it even ends a call, are you getting the same experience? Thanks

You're right. The key does end calls, but you have to hold it down for a split second for it to work. It has to do with the custom keyboard driver and I've found a way to make it more sensitive.
I can update the default config and do one more build.

New version has been released!
Note that the phone no longer has the T-Mobile keyboard layout by default!! See the fixes post for keyboard layout cab.

The new version of the ROM now has the stock touch pro 2 keyboard layout by default, so it should be perfect for your phone right off the bat.
