- You still have to enable *Advanced USB functionality to sync with your computer'
- No uninstall options of the toolbar
- Clock only knows PM and AM (no 24h zones)
- WM6 soundbug still here...
- Storage Card (not recognised) bug still here...
- No shortcuts created in "Programs" for some apps... (the grouping is also pretty annoying to me actually, it's 1 click further to browse now; great effort though)
- Video in MMS format crashes the video-function permanently...
C'mon, you can do better then that... all the old bugs are still present, this OS could be even much better and faster !!!
Well, there's more than that. It's built just like russians did with their release - it's almost unusable, all dsm files are screwed, making anything usefull from this is a pain in the ass, if not impossible...

1st of all..the Advanced USB functionality to sync with your computer is already enabled 2nd , the pBar is installed while cooking the rom ..(U must have understood it by now)..My 1 GB Storage card works perfectly with this rom..i admit that there are sime shortcuts missing..but what do uwant from a first release.if u can do it better y not cook it ur self and lower the burden on our sholuders..regarding the mms format if u check other roms..they also have this problem...
i hope u understand..u cant imagine what is my condition right now..ive cooked 4 ROM's in a day and flashed it 19 to 20 times..and still im working on this rom's clean version with 80MB ramdisk

What I wanted to state is that these WM6 builds are all based on the same basic WM6-ROM (wich is full of junk, bugs and workarounds). It's time someone ports a new bugfree baserom to the himalaya and updates it... (and I cant do that, I'm a noob in cooking).
Like the Artemis Touch 3.01...
I'm expermimenting with the AIO cooking tool (forgot the name, different computer working on now). It allows cooking/flashing every! ROM to all PPCs EXCEPT for the Himalaya/Andes
EDIT: and syncing with your PC should work just fine when the advanced USB funcionality is disbabled (now you have to enable it or it wont work)

It's Anichillus' kitchen set of tools. It still needs a base ROM for a given device
And as of Hima... Once I was pushing him to make it, and it was almost ready, but somehow it passed
Well, we have a good kitchen now, so...
BTW, my ROM is almost at the beta stage (along with a full blown kitchen for it), when it will reach this stage, I will call for some volunteers for testing

ather, everyone who has posted here tried that link... and while i write this text here, my Browser desperately tries to get the File from the net which it obviously can't do...
Tried it with Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 Beta 3... both don't work

Good for you! Unfortunately for me (and probably few other people) the link still doesn't work - it would download about 500 Kb and then freeze. Please make a mirror if you can and save Ather some work. Thanks in advance.

because i took this rom as base its the best german rom. I cleaned it up a little and added german keyboard by default and the Tools as postet. I didnt use a kitchen.
I dont know how to change the xip for himalaya so...

i wasnt jokeing i have not a kitchen for himalaya like i have for the kaiser or the diamond. I collected only the tools to insert or remove files from an existing rom - so its more a fireplace then a kitchen for me but it does the job.
Updating the xip is what i learned something like install a servicepack for windows xp.
to ather: i read the tut i know how to get the xip.bin but i would like to know how to insert new xip.bin into nk.nba.

thanks, very easy, i took from a kaiser dump the Base_Lang_0407 the msimde.dll and from the Base_Lang_0407_DPI_96 folder the msimde.96.dll and integrated the files and compared the rgu from both kaiser folders with the default.hv and user.hv registry overwriting the ones for english keyboard in the himalaya rom.

I successfully run it with Manilla2D, that eats up a lot of Main Storage. As I use a SDOI WLAN Card, I need to install Skype on the device. So I wonder, if you could provide the ROM with Ram-Disc, as it was originally done by DKAMIN?

Thanks, 32 MB ramdisk? I have too Manila 2D running in german, but with older Album version with need to select folder for pic, i would like to have one of the never Opal or Iolite Albums to work but didnt succeed - in M2D the pics are shown correct but if i press on a picture i have to select a folder the picture is not shown. Maybe you have it working?

This ROM is exactly what I need. By the way, I have the same issue with "Photo&Video" Tab. Additionally, I couldn´t find out how to handle the Portrait and Landscape format in this tab.
Also I can´t run videos in fullscreen landscape mode using WMP. But I keep on trying - might be related to registry.

Ok i added some missing registry and codec files videos are now playing in fullsreen landscape. I cleaned some more files in the registry and rom so i can not say what caused this so i uploaded the new rom V2:

Hey IronEagle, I was wondering why i couldn't use the Rhodium menu replacement with this ROM. It has the correct SYS and XIP but i can't seem to get it to work.
Could you try incorporating this in your ROms or at least try the app to see if we can use it. It looks like a cool app and is supposed to be much faster than the fingermenu app.

Problems with Internet Sharing
Sorry to disturb you! I am using this excelent ROM since last March.
Today I needed Internet Sharing and I couldn't find it. I found in the forum some cab files and I tried its without success. Mybe I need the original one.
Can you please be so kind to help me?

Yestarday, I spent all the day trying to install a new ROM, so I would like to inform you about the following:
1. WM6.5 (WM7 Makeup) LeanCut CE OS 5.2.21222 Build 21222.5.0.1 (OEM 2.32.405.3) and jade ultimo & Lean Cut wm 6.1 CE OS 5.2.21127 build 5.21042.1.6.1 ( OEM 2.32.723.2 ) don't allow me to use the telephone at all.
2. Jade FeatherLite WM6.1 OS 5.2.21128 Build 21127.1.6.1 (OEM 2.32.723.2) SPL 2.32.44800 has got a very serious problem with the SD card!
3. Of course, I always did the hard reset after the first boot.
4. So, I decided to intall again the ROM (Rhodium Port) CE OS 5.2.21028.build.21028.1.6.0 (OEM 1.40.488.2) Lean.cut that I find very stable.
So, please, if you have time, could you please check this problem, concerning the Internet Sharing? I installed a cab, and the software starts, but the system doesn't allow me to connect in gprs.

n.2: when I installed my software in SD, I found that very often the programs didn't work because the device couldn't read the SD. With the ROM I am using now (OS 5.2.21028), everythings works fine without any problems, so I don't think that was a SD problem.
May be is a new OEM 2.32.723.2 problem- Really I don't know!

I think the problem is u r in SPL 1.40.**.. You should upgrade to HardSplv41 before using the 2.32.** builds..

I can confirm I upgraded with to HradSplv41 before installing the 2.32.** ROM! This is very strange!
Well, now the only thing I really need is that can work Internet Sharing! Do you know why the software I installed with a cab find in the forum doesn't work?

Check your bootloader screen (switch off; press volume down & Power key). Then check the SPL Version, u should see 2.32.olinex

The sys is based on "21054 XIP/SYS CE OS 5.2.3026" and oem is based on "_HTC Touch 3G_MR2009_RUU_Jade_HTC_Europe_2.32.401.2_Radio_Sign_12.41.30.16_0.41.30.12_Ship"
but i replace the oemdriver to 2.33
It run good on my phone
How to install
* You need Touch 3G Hard-SPL (HardSPLV5.2 now) for this ROM. Your Tricolor bootloader screen have to show 2.xx.olinex, to check it switch off jade; press volume down key and power key to go to bootloader. For more info Jade / Touch 3G Hard-SPL
* Use shipped RUU or customRUU to flash the cooked ROM
* Enjoy

Bluetooth AVRCP no respond
Thanks for your work. I've found this rom is not "special", it's just like the stock rom. Why don't you cook something different, Like a lite rom, a barebone rom ... base on wm6.1 is just good enough, 'cause wm6.1 is most user friendly. Thanks again!
