One strong rule about my ROM with Manila
If you use themes for Manila or you modified Manila files or top bar icons and after that you have problems with Manila or top bar...DON'T TELL ME ABOUT THAT!!!IT IS NOT MY ROM PROBLEM!!!I WON'T HELP YOU!!!YOU SHOULD TELL ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM WHERE YOU TAKE THEMES OR ICONS FOR TOP BAR!!!

You have to flash new HardSPL 1.56 or use USPL 2.5 with SPL 1.56 to flash this ROM

Let me tell you guys, I've been testing onkolog's 6.5 versions. Compared to the others on the board, this is the fastest and most reliable. I won't be going back to 6.1. Just a week ago I didn't think there was anyway I upgrade to 6.5 - becase everything I'd tried up to that point sucks - Then, along comes the ROM master, onkolog and changes me forever.

WKTask works...but with colors in the top bar problem(((You can install and you'll see that...It's problem in WKTask...I included default Task Manager in ROM...(in both ROMs)

LOL i eventually got a decent working build off the 222 last night, was contemplating uploading it but as you've released yours I'll keep it internal, for my own experimenting.

update problem ....
The update does not want to start ........ it goes normal until the status bar and it remains at 0%. I use win XP and Active Sync seems normal.

Later edit: Did not know i had to put in Hard SPL. Noob here ..... sorry (i have an Eten X800 and that's much simpler to update )

I have spent a while looking around for the answer & not found it.
I have the standard R3 UK ROM & want to put TF on top of that without having to flash a custom 6.1 or 6.5 ROM.
I have seen demos of TF 2.5 & 2.6 & they look great, so has anyone come up with a single CAB installer for these that I can install & enjoy without having to tweak and flash ?

Think the reason why you haven't found an answer is cos there ain't any cab installer for TF3D2.5

No cab, sorry, there is no reason to make one since it wouldn't work on WM6.1 (actually, there are no ROMs with WM6.1 and Leo). And, even if it would work, performances are too bad to use it in everyday life.
Sorry, actualy the only way to get it is flashing a WM6.5 ROM

Why dont you try spb mobile shell 3.0 panel it is as good as touch flo, works as a panel, and works with wm 6.1, even the R1 rom, only problem is that it is korean, needs minor mods to make it english and make the SMS work

Thx, that's actually what I'm doing already & it is very good, but seeing the demos of TF3D there are clearly things that HTC can do better than others.
The general message is that it needs WM6.5 to function, I'll wait for a while because the WM6.5 ROMs that I've used to date have all been pretty slow and not added anything to the experience of the X1.

Stable ROM with Win 6.5.1 and Manila 2.5

So....
I have a TP2 ( RHO100 ) and I have the stock WWE rom from HTC with WM6.5 installed but now the the HD2 is out I've seen videos of it with the new Manila 2.5.
And I have fallen in love with the wdiget home screen and new fully screen weather animations. I am also very interested in the ability to have threaded SMS.
I have tried doing some searches for ROMs that contain the new manila 2.5 but I am not sure which one would be best. A lot of them seem to make their own preferential upgrades, or they removed parts to make them faster, but I am a little wary they may cut out things that I want.
Can anyone recommend a ROM that is as close to the stock as possible, whilst just upgrading to WM6.5.1 and Manila 2.5, with all the original stuff. I'd like to customise my taskbar etc myself rather than have it chosen for me...
What can you guys recommend?

That's a good question. I don't know if a total stock ROM exist with 6.5.1/3 and Manila 2.5.

Im using |STABLE-FAST|ROM|Josh's New Perfect Black, Links UP!|11-13|Sense 2.1| the title say it all. his rom are amazing there fast, stable, and he would try to add anything on that you like! his v1.6 is coming out. Atm v1.5 out and a beta of v1.6 is out. What you're looking for is a rare find but if anything check out his rom im sure you would like it

I have tried many roms (energy, athineos, josh's, fusion...) and first, I think, you have to decide if you want:
- windows mobile 6.1(very old), 6.5, 6.5.1 or 6.5.3. There are separates into 2 categories (6.1 and 6.5 / 6.5.1 and 6.5.3). The most difference I have noticed is that the button "Start" is on the top left corner or at the bottom of the screen.
- manila 2.1 or 2.5. The version 2.5 is most recent but there are many bugs for the landscape mode. It doesn't work for many tabs. But it is the best of both version. The version 2.1 is working fine.
After, for all roms I have tried, every times I have some bugs. Often there are very very minor problems (example: bugs with the lock screen, freeze, slow performance...) and to solve them I just have to soft reset the phone. I think it depend of your provider, rom radio, utilization of your phone: bluetooth with headset, software you use...
You must also choose the design you prefer.
Testing is the best way to find your best rom.
Very big thinks to all chief who work hardto create these roms.

Vinsyl, thanks very much yes, elab is right, you make some good points.
However, may I digress...
I have already done a lot of investigating into the differences between the builds....
- I mentioned that I want to see 6.5.1 because it's more stable and more importantly has threaded SMS, which is what I'm after more than anything.
- It's only 6.5.3 from what I can tell which has moved the start menu to those silly blobs at the bottom.
- After research I also came to the conclusion that it Manila 2.5 was heavily buggy in pre-release, especially in landscape mode..... however, having now seen a full release on the HD2 and I'm guessing working in full landscape mode with all it's own apps, I was guessing that one of the CHEF's will have had a chance to rip Manila 2.5 out of the HD2 and whack it in a TP2 rom.
So Remember, I'm not looking for a STOCK rom, that comes from HTC. I'm looking for a Stock ROM base, cooked up to WM 6.5.1 with a seasoning of Manila 2.5 and no further additives. Is there a chef willing to try something so CRAZY?!

6.5 does threaded SMS. (it's the first thing I turn off though, I hate it) You will need a tweak program to enable / disable, sometimes the cook will provide something built in. (sometimes in Start -> Settings -> System menu there is a "Threaded SMS" icon, otherwise use Rhodium Tweak Tool or HD Tweak one of those will do it)
And 6.5.1 has the "silly blobs at the bottom" same as 6.5.3
If you want start menu at the top you want 6.5 (or 6.1 I suppose). Also if you are looking for STABLE you want 6.5.
6.5.1 / 6.5.3 are from leaked Microsoft BETA code and therefore aren't really designed to be stable, of course you may find they are stable for you, I used to run a 23064 (one of last 23xxx builds with start menu at top) EnergyROM and it was awesome. Also with the build numbers, a general rule is 21xxx is 6.5, 23xxx is 6.5.1 and 28xxx is 6.5.3. But there is a better post you may want to search for regarding this, goes into more detail if you are interested.

question why did you stop using it? I am thinking of picking up EnergyROM_23081

A stable WM 6.5.X rom without manila???

Could anyone name some WM 6.5.X Roms(with the start button and close button at the bottom) which are stable and fast?
I want to make WM6.5.X as my primary OS on my device / currently its WM6.1, and testing some WM 6.5 Roms with manila 2.5--very buggy and sometimes very lagy, compared to WM6.1--- so I wish to get rid of manila and use Titanium or maybe some else today user interfaces...
In short:
Please name some WM 6.5.X Roms which are fast and stable without manila or with disable manila!
Or clean and fast + stable Wm6.5.X Roms

I cant see the page - it says I have to register + I dont understand italian!! could you post screenshots of the ROM please and maybe PM me with the download link to the rom?

think you will get the default answers here, as it's depending on youre personal opinion.
But as i tested many ROMs in past time i would recommend NRG Series to you - I like it most.
Some things to know:
He has WM bulids with 21xxx and 23xxx ( 23xxx are with bottom buttons, 21xxx with normal WM6.5)
u will finde sens 2.5 in Leo thread
and sense 2.1 (old sense) and titanium (without sense/manilla) version in Phoenix thread.
In 23xxx bulids HTC Volume control doesn't work. Didn't find any working now...
Sometimes bluetooth Headset control just gets hooked by WMPlayer - but there are fixes out.
Oh nearly forgot he also has a "clean" 6.5 ROM in android section.

Labas braliukas,
try and taste "Park's" roms, you will be surprised.

Exactly what I am after, love the new 24001 WM6.5.5 version.
Always turn off Manila and use IphoneToday

Just take a look to my signature.. it is WM6.5 not WM6.5.x but a try does worth it!

You can try Energy's ROMs without manila on it.
