I like change Start -> Settings -> tab System -> Device Information -> tab Identity Model No "HTC Touch 3G T3232" for "HTC_Jade". how do I change? Register?

EDIT this does not work for Vodafone branded phones it seems
First of all you need to download PHM RegeDit Here And also download a HTC splash screen Here.
Now put the Newwall.gif into your phones windows folder (via activesync)
Now install PHM RegeDit and open
then Goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > HTC > HTCAnimation > and edit the Startupgif to \Windows\newwall.gif and save and reboot the phone (softreset)
then it should change to the newwall.gif and everything should be fine
Hope it solves your problem, feel free to ask if you cant figure it out

Tried this with mda iv on t-mobile... Can't get rid off the t-mobile startup screen... Anys ideas fella...?

I found a solution, how BlacKberry connect can run under WM6.5 on Raphael.
Here it is:
Change device ID, from Start -> Settings -> System -> About -> Device ID to TouchPro
3. Install a registry editor, then edit
HKLM\System\Versions\AKU key, change whatever in there (like .0.0.3) to .1.6.0
4. Install BBConnect 4.0.0.103.
5. Setup with Blacberry Desktop software.
Hope this is helpfull.

quick question changing the device id wont mess with any installed programs that use the device name for registration keys will it?

It will certainly, if you have programs installed which use the ID for their registration.
But I doubt that the device ID need to be changed to make that go. Changing the AKU version in the registry was since ever the trick to make BBConnect working on older devices. I think this is the only requirement.

I have tried with couple of 6.5 ROMs, and worked well.

I've tried this trick only come to find out that when I change the device ID to TouchPro it changes the keyboard mapping. Also I tried just to change the AKU but that didn't help. Been using DA_G roms.

Does this only work with BES accounts or does it work with BIS accounts also?

Blackberry Connect on Tilt2
I tried setting the registry and ID setting but after running the Blackberry Connect Desktop application it didn't install on my Tilt2. It did install on my desktop of course not where I needed it. It acted like my Tilt2 wasn't even connected via Activesync.

works like a gem thanks i use bb connect 4.0.0.106 still works
As the title says.. I cant save my APN setting on my Samsung galaxy Ace with Jelly Bean CM9 Rom installed
when I want to use 3G I first have to put the correct settings at the Acces Point Names menu
So when I do that I press the menu button and then save, then back and then its not saved its just gone.. hope youj can help me with the problem

Actually I dont know if my phone is rooted or not. can you guide me a little as to how to find that out. all i know is when the guy i bought the from was waiting for a some code to come in and unlock it. it shows all the ATT&T stuff etc. Also now today I cannot find skype on my phone after i did a factory reset....

1)go to the file /data/data/com.motorola.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
Open it on any database editor(for example - X-plore), then go on the section settings and look for the "entitlement_check" field and change its value to 0 or default.
2)Some says also you have set your access point(apn), change apn type to - default,tether
I did it, and I can connect to my hotspot but there aren't any internet.

My Cellphone model is MB886 and it is runnin android 4.1.1. I am unable to find the settings storage using the SQlite. Any ideas why ?
My problem I will again regurgigate is that whenever I turn on mobile hotspot it says you have to first make an account on ATT&T, same is the case with all other tethring.

do you have correct APN settings? Open Settings > More... > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names and check to see if you have correct settings.
EDIT: maybe you need to flash Baseband for your region.

APNs settings is empty and when i press + on the right top screen i found :-
Name : not set / APN: not set and the same for Proxy,Port,Username,password,server,MMSC,MMS proxyand MMS port.
MCC:602 , MNC:03
Authentication Type: not set
APN type : not set
APN protcol: IPV4
ok so you need to manually type in the correct APN settings for your network then save them.
EDIT: do a Google search for your networks APN settings
just i need lag fix work good on this rom and i wanna to know the stock Kernel is good or there is a better Kernel i can use
