Guys i just want to know that is there any app or patch by which we can get full vga recording @25 or 30 fps.

Is there any experts who can make or is working for the camera patch to get full VGA @25 or 30fps recording.

anyother way to get it itself in diamond.
Pls reply and let me know if there is anything related to increase camera efficiency cause i am too much stressed because of the recording is not perfect in such a high priced phone and many of my friends got less priced phone and they are more than 2mp camera and takes good photos and good recording as camera is faster, no spooky effect, etc even though resolution is not so good still its fast fps recording and i didn't know that diamond will not be able to record and battery drainer and spooky camera recording at only 15fps.
But there is one thing the camera is totally light dependent cause in very good light or sunlight it gives no spooky effect and i recorded clips in 24.0 fps even though in half vga resolution but still good pics and vids.
So why diamond dont have camera like nokia which is better even thought the resolution is low?
Pls can somebody help or can somebody assure me that in future maybe after 5 to 6 months there will def an app or patch for it?

You will most likely have to wait until someone ports the Diamond2's camera app, since the new phone supports VGA recording. However, you may still have an issue if the Diamond itself doesn't support VGA recording.
I've always wanted to see better video recording on the Diamond. I thought the reason it was limited was because the phone simply wasn't fast enough to be able to sustain a decent frame rate for VGA recording (due to the fact that on my old Touch, a rapidly changing view seemed to significantly reduce the frame rate), but the Diamond2's hardware is similar, so perhaps it's a limitation related to the camera.
in my old p3600 it can record video 15 fps in dark
but my diamond only 4 , 6 fps in dark ?!
also my friend touch daul only 4 to 6 fps
the recording in all touch series is just crap in dark

Ok,thats for those members in the brotherhood whn hav played with the tytn2 camera.How's the picture quality? Do you miss the camera flash on the hermes? Wat difference does it make after all, i mean, a 3mp autofocus should be alrite. But what if u need ur flash light at night and theres none.I hav a dilema,stick on the hermes with its wm6 and having flashlight or migrate to kaiser(i dont use gps)

I can't comment on the Kaiser's picture quality but when I owned a 8525, I never used the flash. The flash in 8525/Hermes, to me, was a joke. It did not really make any difference unless you were taking macro pictures at night. I'm glad that Tilt does not have it. One less thing to worry about. Just my opinion.

agreed - I miss the flashlight.
the TyTN2 camera takes longer from button-push to snapshot than the TyTN - sometimes 2 seconds. Light sensitivity is better, but it's still a phone. Auto-focus seems to help but who can wait all that time?
yes the slow response time is kinda annoying. the pic quality is ok even without the flash, definitely not as good as my P1i sony ericsson.
The camera is better than the TyTN but no flash leads for very jumpy framerates in low light conditions. Nicest thing is the two-press camera button. Half press for focus and full press to take - much more like any other camera-phone. Quality still not up to that of a SE or a small digital camera though...

yeah..i agree with the slow response,i was getting ready to call htc,but i see its just not my phone..it really suck waiting for the pic.
The image quality is OK (good for 3MP phone camera).
But the camera operation is very slow, jumpy and blurry when there are lot of movement of the object or when you pan the phone. I hate this.
And yes, the lag is really, really annoying You will not be able to take picture of moving object!
Flip chart text legible after transfer to PC?
Can someone share an image of a "flip chart" with letters or numerals approximately the same height as a man's palm?
I'm trying to decide between the Tilt (3MP, no flash) and the BB Curve (2MP, with flash). Shooting flip charts in typical conference room light with no natural window light is the only camera utilization that I expect. The images will be captured on the device, then transferred to a PC for transcription -- with essentially infinite optical zoom capability available.

Does your Tilt/Tytn II camera speed increase with shutter sound disabled? I read that idea on another thread but haven't seen it confirmed here or elsewhere.

Does anyone else notice a click when the camera has finished focusing?
its normal. my sony ericsson K790a with autofocus clicks after focusing as well.
Def miss the flashlight... but mainly because of using it as a flashlight to look for things
But the refresh late is appauling which is annoying
Having said that, if you are stable and get rid of any shaking, i think the camera is actually really good. I took some scenery pictures in the car while going to Kent and even though we were moving at 70mph or so, they came out without any blurryness or noise on the pictures.
If they get rid of the refresh rate in darker (and I dont mean even dusk type light but just not daylight) areas, the camera will be perfect (for a phone)
I just upgraded from my old nokia 6682 to the kaiser. Here's two shots of roughly the same thing.

This is low light night conditions. Nokia is a complete joke. Kaiser is infinitely better but still no comparison to ccd cameras.
It's real slow taking pictures. That's for sure. And the only way to get digital camera replacement shots is to be really really still while taking it, which is real hard when it takes multiple seconds to take the picture.

do you have any idea if the front facing camera is limited to like 15fps?
I was testing google talk video and I noticed that the back camera is much smoother than the front one when calling.
So i thought i was a limitation of Gtalk but when I tried to make a video in "camera" the fps is the same.
EDIT: I tried to see details of the recording. It shows 7fps!!
WTH? is this a hw or sw limitation?

To minimize traffic/save money on a cellular network. This needs to work on even the slowest of connections.
That being said, there definitely should be some auto-detection/settings which should control the framerate.
I tried to make a video call wiht an iphone 4 with tango. The iphone was "smooth" and watchable. The lg stream was upside down, choppy and very low res.
Just checked an FFC recorded vid in MediaInfo, it's 640x480 @ 30fps

Even if the mediainfo info was wrong I can assure is nowhere near the 20 fps range

I think I got what's happening.
The driver (?) changes the frame rate according to the light available. I don't know if you're familiar with how photography/lenses work. I do so I'll explain.
Normally a very small sensor (like this) would have a very low sensitivity so to get more light into the sensor it would reduce the shutter speed to like 1/5s and clearly below.
The strange thing is that it also reduced the framerate but the visual result is practically the same. In fact if you find a very strong light position(sun light basically) you will get 30fps.
I don't really like this behavior, I think I prefer a smooth recording with low light (solution would be to turn the lights on ) than 7fps with auto light obtained with low shutter speed.
Do you have specs about the sensor size of both the front and back cameras?
Yesterday I tried to make a video call with Tango with an iphone4 and o2x (both with me) and the iphone4 in the same light conditions sent a noticeable smoother and cleaner video.
What I'd like to know is if the o2x has a VERY small sensor OR if this is a bug with cm7, since they have plenty of problems with the cameras drivers due to nvidia source code missing. Or if this is just how the driver works
Loving this phone so far except for one thing. When recording in low-light, there is a significant decrease of fps.
I realize that the 28mm f/2.0 lens is the best out there so why would HTC pair it with such a crippling software feature???
I'd rather have the software crank up the ISO or lose a little exposure to keep the video at a steady 30 or 24 fps instead of the stuttering/lag effect.
Some of my videos uploaded in low-light areas are averaging 20/fps.
Do any of you know if HTC usually updates the camera software or if an outside dev would come out with a camera hack allowing us to lock the framerate?

So seems like a lot of video noise is generated when filming in dark and hardware can't keep up. Are you tablets the same? is there anything that can fix this? It's on FireOS 5.1.1.

Every device with a camera I have ever owned works like this, including film cameras since they were invented. Less light = longer exposure, everything else being equal.
For some reason I get some kind of severe lag when recording video, especially noticable during camera movements but it's there all the time. You also hear the chops in the sound. The problem is worst in 1080p, it's a bit better in 4k. 1080 gets the choppy lags in all 3rd party apps I've tried as well as in the stock app, very frustrating. Changing the bitrate doesn't seem to affect this issue much, it's doesn't get less choppy at lower or higher bitrates (in Open Camera).
Video stabilization and noise reduction and stuff like that is turned off across the board as far as it's possible since I use a gimbal and do all processing in post. And yes the video is choppy with or without the gimbal, it makes no difference for that.
At first I thought it had to to with bad support for the 3rd party apps I use but then I realized the problem is just as bad or worse in the Huawei photo app, which of course produces bad video quality in the first place but that's another issue.
Recording in slow motion on the other hand works fine, cranking up the bitrate to the max and recording in 120fps in open camera with manual focus produces the best slo-mo quality 1080 footage I've seen a phone do so far. So I know for a fact that the phone can produce good quality 1080p footage, I just can't make it work with normal frame rates for some reason.
Anyone else had this problem? Is my phone simply malfunctioning or did I do something wrong? I'm on the 131 firmware version, firmware finder also lists the 131a as compatible, could that solve the issue?

I have this issue in 60fps
When I revert back to full stock it's fluid and works as expected.
Once I've rooted and installed twrp etc plus a few apps it starts to get laggy, I don't use 4K so don't care..30fps 1080p is what I use most and it's perfect..just annoying that 60fps doesn't work as it should..really annoying.
At total stock it should be fine.
I also use a magisk module called swap torpedo which eliminates the use of a swap file, not sure if that matters or not.
Also I've seen this issue present on all firmwares

I've contacted support and they say they'll try to find out what the problem is with my choppy 1080 video.
Obviously that doesn't adress the absurdly low bitrate limits and lack of support for advanced functions in 3rd party apps, which are simply limitations of the p20 pro for now, they said they are aware of those issues as well and looking to fix them.

Ok so may have a fix for this.
I'd previously changed device resolution to HD from FHD changing this back fixes 60fps video, it makes sense that it would offer the same for the other issues you've been having.
Check it out its under Display.
About the laggy video, I just looked into this issue and found something really interesting. When choosing full HD resolution and shooting a video, I find it laggy. But when choosing FHD+ 2160 x 1080 p, the video is amazingly smooth. I suspect that when you choose FHD, the phone is doing some downsampling which causes a huge load on the CPU and makes it laggy while FHD+ does not cause such a big downsampling, because of the 2160 width, which is the native 4k height. Maybe someone who knows more can confirm if what I'm saying is actually true. The kirin 970 does not seem capable of proper processing power like it is advertised.
I have te same issue. FHD 30fps is horribly stuttering, while FHD 60fps or 4K are ok. Do someone found a solution to this? It's incredible that the most powerful and advanced camera phone at the moment have this flaw!
