HTC Touch Diamond 2 - Living with! - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If anyone is interested I've started an article of living with the Touch Diamond 2 which you can read online here...
I'm planning on updating it on a daily basis with comments and thoughts.....

Great idea! I'll check it out every day then.

Again, this is a great idea. Will be reading everyday

Cheers guys muchly appreciated. Updated the thread last night with yesterdays comments!

Great idea, it gives a lot of useful info and impressions already, and I am sure after 3-4 days it will gives a much more complete idea of what to expect out of TD2 than an "in-depth" review...
A small suggestion: could you measure (and weight) the TD2 battery? and, if you have TD1 or HD or other htc device, compare the 2 batteries side-by-side? The battery of the TD2 looks big (good) but has only an average capacity (not good, although an improvement compared to the TD1). In fact, it looks too big for its rated capacity, which makes me hope we could see higher capacity batteries without the need for a bulkier backplate...Comparing the new TD2 battery with the ones of older devices (especially weight) would help confirm or infirm this gut feeling

Test GPS
Hello,
Can you make a test with a software GPS like Tomtom or Igo.
Thanks.

Now updated with the comments for day 2.
I'll see what I can do about a GPS application - first of course I've got to go through the hoops with TomTom over the license codes.....
Would appreciate any comments and feedback in the thread on the 4winmobile site if possible chaps.
Good to know the idea is going down well.

Could you run SPB Benchmark on it? Please.

IGO8 works a treat, used the HD screen mods to get it to display correctly ie full screen.

Hello,
For hoosbude thanks for Igo informations, can you post the SYS.TXT.
thanks in advance.

Guys can you post the questions in the main thread on 4WM please as I don't visit Xda Devs that regularly and I'll only answer questions in that thread to keep the discussion flow intact.
Thanks for that consideration.

Thanx very much for this. very informative ... really appreciate for what you are doing for D2 community (actually maybe this is more suitable for soon to join D2 community ).
I am planning to get one myself after sticking with my beloved Blue Angel for 4 years...

just bought my TD2, should be coming in 2-3 days was going to wait for touch pro 2 but i like smaller phones, never use slide keyboards and charge my phone everyday so I couldn't see a reason for waiting when I can get a great phone now.
Good to see MS3 working well on it ... loving it on my touch dual and can't wait to install it on my TD2. Havn't gone too much into it but I've read peolpe being able to integrate MS3 w/ TF3D

we are not allowed to tell you this, since it is warez.
but i did some research and i think you will be able to find tomtom7 with a keygen for v7 maps and some v7 maps somewhere
Question is: does TT7 require 192 MB of RAM or will it run on every "normal" WM6 device?
And now hoping that there is a english and dutch version too...
Could someone please explain to me why everyone wants TT7? When i see the screenshots, nothing has changed? Are there real differences?

I don't know why people keep locking these kind of post, but if you ask me, I would suggest you to go with Hyper Dragon.
Welcome to the Kaiser forum. Please take a moment to read the Announcement at the top of the forum.

Hello! New rom on the way!

Hi
Do you remember me? Im cooker for himalaya
Now I'm back with 28205 ready to boot and test, but there is some things to solve anyway.
So my question is:
Is there any active himalaya user (as every day phone) who wants to test?
-------------fine, that I'm not the last.

One week ago, I thought of opening a new thread to say goodbye to the community, as I thought to be the last one remaining here !!!
It looked like everyone was gone, without a word. I stayed, because I wouldn't be the one, who had to switch out the light !!!
What a nice day tonight, to see You and swampy395 still here !!!
So, I hope, this forum is not as dead, as I thought, it is by now.
There are some people, like me, waiting to test new (WWE) 6.5.3 roms !!!
Specially, some newcommers and some other, who failed to build their own, (Like me !!!)
The beer is in the fridge, the batteries are loaded the device is in bootloader, So: Where's the rom!
ThanXs, Sebastian.

Now playing: Queen - Who Wants to Live Forever (HIGHLANDER VIDEO)
via FoxyTunes
PS: I never used that function on the Top Right of this nice forum called: LogOut
But I was really near to doing it, for the first and only time!
My collection is finished. The devices are running. And now way to build a running WM6.5.3, for me, because I don't understand the kitchens.
At last I bought an alpine for 3,50€ (+5€ shipping) a few days before xmas (no joke), and changed the broken display to a used one, I bought in Hong Kong for 20€ (inclusive Porto and package). There are still some left. If you're interested just PM me.
At Xmas I packed my new 30€ Blue Angel (+10€ new battery, because it keeps resetting, caused by a broken main batt)
into an egg shell/packaging and made it my wife a gift. I call it my way of an: EI-phone. (Ei-->egg)

Fully Agreed who is going to cook?
we need YAHAHANUVOELEGANLC set up ....
i am hope that YAHAHANUVOELEGANLC might post the kitchen and apps, stuff he use for all his ROM'S...
then the problem "who will cook !" will be all over !
at the moment AK6 is excellent but it remains BETA and i don't think you can add-change the build of windows mobile in AK6...
the kitchen YAHAHANUVOELEGANLC use's it's obvious you can.from all the different versions of his ROM'S he post here in this forum.
keep hima alive !

If you can't change build manually, you rather do not cook at all.
