Help with my phone - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I've got two problems here. The first one happened a few weeks ago, the second one happened last night.
Ok first problem: my phone tells me to "insert sim card" even though one is already in there. I've tried everything: cleaning the sim card, cleaning the place on the phone where the sim card goes, bending the metal holder thing, putting numerous pieces of various types of paper in between the sim card and the metal holder, got a new sim card. I'm currently using the sim card in a razr phone, so it ain't the sim card. And I tried someone else's sim card in my phone and it didn't work either. Any suggestions?
Now the second problem is really serious: last night I installed Core Player on my phone and it installed fine and I watched a few videos using it. I've still got the phone connected to the computer through the usb cable. All of the sudden, it turns off. So I turn it back on, but it turns back off within 10 seconds. All it shows on the screen is "PDA Corner Ultimate". I've tried a hard reset and it doesn't work. I've tried 3 different batteries and that doesn't work either. Any suggestions?
Please help.

I think the next step would be to reflash the ROM, putting the OEM 6.1 back on it, Even if you have it now, just try reflashing it, its one step further then a hard reset.

I would have already tried that, but it won't stay on long enough for me to reflash it. The phone only stays on for like 10 seconds. It gets stuck in the splash screen.

no sim inserted

just got this message today when i turned on my phone...
its only 3 weeks old no apps installed or anything....
did a hard reset still same message
anybody seen this before ?
Yeah, I've gotten the same thing a couple times. Happened first after installing Sprite Terminator Beta (a kind of phone lo-jack program) so i uninstalled right away, but it still gave me the message. I pulled the SIM card out, kind of rubbed it on my pants and put it back in, and it started working again. Did a soft-reset, and the same thing happened, so I again pulled it out, rubbed it "clean" (there wasn't anything on it but who knows) and put it back, started working fine again. So, give that a try, maybe it was just the action of pulling it out and replacing it that made the contacts touch it better or something. It hasn't done it since the second time (knock on wood.)
Make sure that the cover for the SIM is in the fully locked position.

Help G1 is crashing constantly

Hi, I recently flashed my phone to cyanogens 3.6.8.1 all was well until yesterday when the phone screen displayed vertical lines like a grey color, the phone could receive calls but from t mobile customer service and it was booting up tho I couldn't see the screen. Then I took the sim card out and the screen returned to normal but was stuck in the splash screen. I reflashed and sometime the next day it happened again, this time I took out the sim card and it went back to normal
Any ideas

Could you post a log of this? Could you also provide some more details about your set-up (a2sd? swap? comcache? spl/recovery?) and how did you get to this point (did you wipe before flash? did you run any back-up apps, what were you doing when it happened?)
Once we have that info we should be able to figure it out.
I started out with th jesus freak rom then I decieded to flash the cyanogens 3.6.8.1, I had trouble with the market because I hadn't wiped first, I did that and all was well for at least 5 days. I created an ext2 partition for apps2sd but I'm not sure if that worked. Then on the Saturday 6 days later I put fotmob on my phone so I could keep an eye on the opening premiership season put the phone in my pocket whilst at the football and 2 hours later the phone screen was dead, nobody could call me tho I know the phone was operating and booting only t mobile manage to get through, I tried a reboot, then took the sim card out and the screen went back to normal but was stuck on the splash screen. I tried fixing file ext but came as error asomething about the super block being unreadable tried manually but didn't work, tried backup still stuck, reflashed worked fine for. 20 hours then it happened again this time I wasn't doing anything with the phone no programs other than the usual running in the background, this time I removed the sim card and the phone went back to normal again for about 4 hours then it happened again this time removing the sim didn't work.straight away but eventually it came good again.
Its now 11 15 and its running fine again. I have noticed that I now only have one ringtone (dream theme) and one notification tone and I'm getting a few force closes tho I not sure what they are I will report them if and when I see them
you need to get audio resources and unzip to the sd card all the ringers. search xda for audio resources
The screen went dead again at 3pm this time after removing the sim card it stayed the same it was only after leaving the battery off it returned to normal again about 10 minutes later, I am also getting a vending core force close from time to time, please someone help me solve this issue.
P.s I've never actually seen the phone do this it happens when it is in my pocket when I get it out it happens also this time I have not installed any software and it is still happening

Because you lost your ringtones, it sounds like your SD card is acting funny, I would format it using this guide (make only 2 partitions for the time being, fat32 and ext3).
See if that works...May be complete reflash with wipe wouldn't be a bad idea neither.
That's all I can suggest at this point, I'll need to see a log to be anymore specific, but try this out, sounds like you've got nothing to loose
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply I am very greatful, I have tried a different sd card without setting up partitions and it still happens. I think the latter is true and a complete reflash is definately the thing to do.
I think this may be a hardware issue because as I mentioned it only happens when it has been in my pocket for a while, perhaps it is overheating or something.
I'll try a complete reflash and let you know if it happens again.
Wipe, re-flash, reformat your sd (or take it out altogether, just to rule it out see what happens... This is all I can tell you....
good luck

[Q] Help! HD7 reboots every 20 seconds! Any ideas how to fix this?

I have an HTC HD7 with the second Mango beta on it, using T-Mobile in USA. It has been working normally for a long time. Today I received a carrier/GSM unlock code from T-Mobile, I put that code in, phone said it was good, put my T-Mobile sim back in the phone.
Now my phone reboots every 20 seconds. It will completely boot up, I will be able to load apps or use it as normal, then it will just turn off and start to boot up again. Same thing happens whether I try playing with it or just let it sit there for 20 seconds. Same thing happens if it is plugged in to the wall or my computer or is unplugged. Same thing happens with or without the sim card in it. The only way to get it to stop rebooting every 20 seconds is to pull the battery.
I have searched the forum and google and haven't found any solutions. Can anyone help?
EDIT: I have just noticed that the phone does this with the T-Mobile sim card or no sim card installed. With an At&t sim card the phone works fine.
Have you changed the SD card? this happened to me with the non oem 8GB SD card on Mango

Xperia T - No Sim card detected problem

I get random No SIM card detected on my phone. The problem is temporarily fixed when I turn off the phone, take the SIM out, put it back in, then turn the phone back on. Until it happens again. I'm on stock rom, phone is around 3 and a half years old. I don't have a different SIM card right now to try out. I did notice that it's more common when the phone is overheating, like when watching a video or sometimes while charging it gets kinda hot and no sim card pops up.
What do you guys think is the problem? SIM card or phone? And is there any way to fix it?
Thanks.

Anyone experienced issues with their MicroSD card?

Really strange issue which started shortly after the phone got updated it suddenly didn't recognised my MicroSD card. Did all the usual trying the card in another device to make sure it was working then tried a different MicroSD card in the S10 and it didn't detect it either. Restarted the phone and it didn't read the card still. As I'm just about to call to get a replacement the phone suddenly detects the card and it was normal again so I just shrugged and carried on as you do.
Fast forward to today as I'm coming home and listening to some music on the underground the phone decided to throw it's toys out the pram again. It just won't read the MicroSD card. Got on the blower to get a replacement sent. All arranged after a bit of back and forth about trying all sorts including "formatting the card" despite the phone not detecting any card. Anyway I hang up & the little son of a gun starts working literally seconds after. Too late Holmes, you're getting picked up in the morning.
