Can someone help me please ?

After my first hard reset my qtek g100 lost the midlet manager link the jmm.exe also. Is there any way to install midlet manager again ?
thank you
Have you lost only the shortcut to jmm.exe or the complete application. If it's only the shortcut then you can easily create one with the built-in file explorer. If the whole application is gone, then check the ftp site for the cab file under the Extended ROM folder.
Downloaded the 'WM5 BA - TuMa v1.3 - Release' zip file and extracted the MidletManager-TuMa CAB. Passed it to the QTEK g100 storage card and instaled it. No errors so far. After installation made a soft reset. Midlet Manager link was there in Programs. The jmm.exe, etc also installed ok. However clicking the link or the jmm.exe file directlly nothing happens. What am I doing wrong ?

registry editor

Hi,
sorry for disturbing, I try to use phm registry editor on my diamond, but it didn't install, after some tries I try to install strng version but it didn't work fine. would you please help me
The workaround is to download the appropriate CAB for your device CPU type from the PHM.lu Download Center. If you’re using Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6 (WM5 or WM6), select the Pocket PC 2000,2003 (ARM/PXA) option and download the regedit.Mrln_ARM CAB file. If you have installed the Desktop Installer version, you can grab the CAB file from the installed folder in “Program Files” too. Then copy the regedit.Mrln_ARM.CAB file to the PPC/Windows Mobile device via ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center or Windows Explorer, and put the CAB file at anywhere including storage card. Launch File Explorer, and click on the CAB file with stylus, and then follow the instruction on screen to install the FHM Registry Editor. Note that you should answer Yes to security warning, and you can install it on either device itself or on memory card. After installed, sers can access and run PHM Registry Editor from Start -> Programs.

Installing software...

I have d/l coreplayer, but it's all just a bunch of files. Is it a case of simply transferring them to the diamond whereupon I initiate the installation on the phone itself? If so where do I install to and which files do I need?
Thanks,
S.
you need to transfer the .cab file to the diamond and run it from the file explorer in the phone. If you have ie. WinRAR installed and just went with default settings, the cab. look like an archive like .zip and .rar files and therefore many people think they have to unpack it...
Two ways apps are installed on a PPC.
1. Via a CAB file (filename ends in .cab) by transferring the CAB file to the PPC and "clicking" it within file explorer.
2. Via ActiveSync app installer by running the EXE on your PC. (ActiveSync then transfers the CAB file without you having to do it.)
If you downloaded coreplayer, it should have been only one file (either a CAB file that you run on the PPC or an EXE that you run on the PC).

Trying not to sound stupid

Hi
trying not to sound stupid but how do I install applications like Gsen on the Diamond. I have copied the programme over into the internal memory but when I click on the java file it opens it in opera
You copy the cab file and run it on the phone, dunno what this java file is.
Java file? Where did you download it from?
Installers for WinMo are .cab files, simply copy one of those to the phone and run it as a normal installation.
For GSen go to the authors website where you will download a zip file containing the .cab installer

WinCE Cab Manager

Hello.
Just want to ask,why I cannot lot of cabs open in OCPSoftware WinCE Cab Mgr? Some files could be opened, some not. Or exist another similar tool?
Thanks.
I had the same issue with WinCE CAB Manager version 3. The solution was downgrading to version 2, which seems to take all CAB files just fine.
