Alarm Sounds - Touch Viva, MDA Basic General

I just recently bought a viva. I used my old phone as my alarm clock. This one is a bit more stubborn. I cannot find anywhere to be able to change the sound on the alarm. It only makes a short sound that goes of twice and then quits. Does anyone know how to customize the alarm setting on the phone? Using a daily reminder as my alarm is hassle. THANKS!

Go to Settingd/Clock&Alarm; touch on the "small bell" icon, and some options for customizing the alarm setting will display.

You can use G alarm program

Alarm Clock for Heavy Snoozers

I'm a heavy snooze button hitter. I sometimes don't remember the alarm ever going off. Problems I have with PDA Alarm Clocks is that the Snooze and Dismiss buttons are always in the same place. I'm looking for an alarm program that moves the snooze and dismiss buttons around the screen (and could possibly require 3 or more presses in different locations to disable.)
Ideas?

Pocket Alarm http://www.wizcode.com/products/view/pocket_alarm gives you the option of adding a confirm message box or it even makes you do a math problem to stop or snooze.
Haha thats funny a math problem will wake me up frustrated as hell. It would be cool if it disabled the buttons so you'd have to use the stylus.
yea I use pocket alarm with the 'alarm 5 sound'
anyone has a more annoying alarm sound as mp3 ??
i use spb time for my alarm clock. It is the first alarm clock that I am able to wake to each day.
I am also a "heavy snoozer" and I use Pocket Alarm. It is the best alarm for me and I do choose the math problem option because I sometimes don't even realize I'm hitting the snooze button and end up waking up late.
I'm attaching a .wav file that is very effective at waking me up. It's loud and annoying, perfect for heavy snoozers.
I actually think I got it here.

thank you
You can always try spb time. Very loud alarm and big buttons for snooze and disable. Unfortunately it's not free but you can download the trial and see if it's worth the $$$.
I'm running SPB Time...I like it for all it's features and such. I would just wish that the "OFF/SNOOZE" buttons on the screen would be in different places each time it goes off.
ptravelalarm
Very easy to use.

Both PocketAlarm and SPB Time are VERY good
I have tried both these: PocketAlarm and SPB Time
Both of these allow using mp3 files for alarms, which was what I was after, while I stumbled on these.
PocketAlarm: Most comprehensive alarm system that I have ever seen. Period. I was pleasantly amused to see the 'math problems', but I do not really need that, as I have a wife to wake me up now
Sadly, it does not have a countdown/countup timer. But as an 'alarm' it is very complete.
SPB time: Complete too, but does not have math problems - but has a superb countdown and countup timer function. I love it.
Which one do I recommend?
I use SPB Time now, as I do not need the math function, and the timer functions are a big bonus for me. So, you choose between them (math problems for snooze OR timer functions).
How about an alarm clock that runs away and hides?

Yeah...I've seen Clocky.
I myself like the "Flying Alarm Clock" It has a propeller like key that flys off the top of the alarm when it sounds. You have to find this key and replace it in the top of the clock to silence it.

how to turn off the alarm

Hi all,
I had a problem last night where i was testing out the alarm feature. It went off and a small dialogue box popped up and the left button stated 'dismiss', i clicked somewhere other than those areas and then the alarm bell icon went away and the alarm had entered snooze mode - it kept going off every minute or something and there was no way to turn it off.
can anyone shed some light on this if the icon disappears?
also how can i change the alarm tone? going into the sounds and notifications option i get:
''Enable sounds for:
- Events
- Programs:
--Notifications (alarms, reminders)
- Screen taps
- Hardware buttons''
on the second tab called notifications
theres options for ''Event'' allowing to choose an event to assign a sound for it. Theres no Even called alarm or notification but there is one for Reminders. I changed the reminders tone but still that didnt change the alarm tone that went off.
seems the alarm hasnt had much focus during implementation.
thanks,
simba
Change the alarm tone directly on the Clock & Alarms screen. Just tap the little yellow bell thing.
perfect thanks! i didnt know the wee bells were selectable for more features.
anyone else know the solution to the other query?

Alarm Clock Problem

Hi,
I have the XDA Diamond with the standard O2 ROM (Germany) and a problem with the alarm clock. I didnt find a solution in this forum or the instructions of the device, so heres the problem: I can turn the alarm on and it works perfectly fine. But theres no option to turn it off except decrasing the volume till zero, but it doesnt ring at all after that (whats not very good when I fall asleep after this). The second thing is, that I am searching for some kind of snooze option, I had this option on all other alarm clocks on my previous cellphones. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot,
Hannes

Download this, an "upgraded" version of the diamond alarmclock, very easy-to-use, and many options to choose for snoozing, turning it off and such. I use it every morning

Well, are you sure there's no option ?
Touch the screen on the icon bar (top of the screen) when the alarm is on, select the alarm icon : you should have the alarm menu, with de-actiovation, snooze and all. And to have directly the notification, go parameters, sounds & notifications, notifications, select "reminders" in the dropdown menu and check "show message on screen" (or maybe that's not the actual text, my diamond is in french). And this has been answered many times, if it was your problem ^^

My moto X does not set up alarm clock

When I try to set up a new alarm clock with moto voice, it brings me to the setup page, but it does not set it up automatically. I have to press the "set alarm" myself to finish the work. Has this happened to any of you? How should I fix it? Thanks!

It's a known issue. An update broke the feature

When Google updates their search app.
I use Timely as my alarm clock and it sets it automatically without having to acknowledge it. However, I just noticed that it sets a new alarm each time - I have a named alarm for 6 AM, another named alarm for 6:15, and a "Miscellaneous" alarm for any other time. When I set an alarm through Moto, it creates a new alarm - even if it is for 6 or 6:15. I see that I have about 20 separate alarms now.

Alarm Clock Question

I am using the alarm clock: Alarm Clock Plus.
When the phone screen is off, the alarm opens full screen so I can interact with it. When the phone is in use, I get a notification bar that I have to click in order to open the alarm clock. I would like to eliminate the notfvication bar. I've checked the settings for the app and am left thinking that it's some feature of the OS. Can someone tell me how to change this functionality?
