Face Down Silent - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Greetings,
I am looking for a way to have my phone switch to silent when face down. I have several short meeting throughout the day and it would be handy to just place the phone face down when I want it to be quiet. I have seen several threads and posts on face down mute for incomming calls, but I am looking for something that switches the phone to silent so that it does not make any noise at all.
Is anyone aware of such an app?
Thanks,
Doug M.

Ringtone disappears when scroll wheel is moved?????

Hi All
I recently lost my ringtone and found a solution on here, so all is fine.....EXCEPT when the phone rings, the ringtone disappears when the scroll wheel (if that's what it's called) is moved.
Has anyone else come across this problem and if so found a fix???
The phone carries on ringing silently if I move the wheel, it's just the sound that disappears and that's obviously not very good if it's in my pocket!!
I've tried pressing all the other buttons when it's ringing to see if they make the sound disappear but they don't, it's only the wheel
Any one got any ideas????
Thanks
That's not a bug.
That's a feature...
My TyTN1 did that.
My P3600 did that.
My TyTN2 Does that.
It's the only way of making the phone go QUIET without canceling the call.
Quite usefull actually....
Honestly!!??
It's a feature??
How do I turn it off????
I like that feature very much, too. When someone calls and I don't want to talk to them I just hit the scroll wheel to silence the call but let it continue ringing for them. That way they don't know I'm ignoring them. I can plausibly be out of range of my phone or some other excuse. If you press the end key or hit "ignore" on the phone screen it sends the call immediately to voicemail and the person on the other line can tell they've been actively ignored...
I don't know if it's possible to turn it off.
ive always found it usefull. but sometimes it can be annoying as OP said when its in your pocket

The beginning of every sad story I've heard about screen cracks and phone damage, has always begun with , Well the phone was in my pocket and..............
When I pull my phone from it's padded holster I always look at the caller id first and do not wish to disturb other people while I decide. I appreciate the feature
I'm guessing it's a feature that can't be turned off then

[Q] Muting Incoming Calls + Alarms

Hi, I'm fairly new to the Android scene.
Just bought a Nexus One a week ago and still trying to figure things out.
I've been looking, but I haven't been able to find any way to mute incoming calls or snooze the alarms by turning the phone upside down.
Seems like this should be a pretty stand function for smartphones.
At first I thought the phone didn't even have a proximity sensor, but looking in the manual shows that the sensor is present.
So my question is that is this even possible?
I've just started playing with Tasker today, if it's possible via Tasker, let me know how I can set it up to do so.

is your nexus rooted? are you running a custom Rom? don't think its possible to flip the phone over to silence it if your running a stock Rom but many custom roms do
there are some apps in the market, flipsilence and rd mute. Try them out.

Assist always reading texts out loud in silent mode

Hey there,
recently (proabably after 5.1) I've had the problem that Assist reads my text messages and calls out loud, when the phone is in silent mode. I've checked all the settings but I have no idea what might be causing this, since it doesn't say it thinks I'm driving or at home. This is particularly annoying in situations where it is supposed to be quiet and I can't rely on it to stay that way, especially if I'm working with my headphones plugged in somewhere else and don't realize everyone can hear my texts being read out loud.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Is this a known issue?
I'd be really thankful for someone's help here.

Do not disturb profile

Hello,
Just got a pixel 3. I need a do not disturb profile. I have one but it's not working. I do not want any interruptions while I sleep, except if it's from a favorite contact. Also if they text, I want to send them a response if it's important or emergency please call. (I have children, one with autism. If I can take a small snooze during te day would lie to do that without missing a call or text from his school)
I had similar profiles from years ago. But, as I keep upgrading my phones, I am having difficulty. Even though, I have do not disturb on, Something is still vibrating and ringing. When I go to notifications, I can't find anything.
To sum it up:
Dnd to ring/vibrante Favs only. All other notifations silent no vibration. But, need alarm.
If revive a text, to respond with please call.
Thank you.
