hahaha, it's kinda easy to set it actually, i've posted the same question here before but no one answering my question, but then i found the way to stop it myself. try if this helps...
Start>Setting>Connection>Connections
you should see there are 2 conections in this page if i am not mistaken, one is from your service provider's internet setting and another 1 is your work network, right?
then, click on the "Advanced" beside "Tasks" and click "Select Networks", choose the "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" from your service provider to "My work Network", done!!!
hopes this helps...

On some roms choosing My work network doesn't work anymore as blocking.
There is an application called Nodata when you can choose what profiles you want to block ( mms, gprs, etc. etc.)

Hi where can i get the Nodata application?
Thanks!

Hi, I have the same problem from time to time:
-first, I'm unable to change the homepage for PIE. I set it up but once I close the options menu it comes back to empty.
- sometimes it says "the page can't be showed" and everything seems ok in the connection. it seems that changing the active connection in settings -> conn -> conn it works again.
A little bit dissapointing...
It also changes the name of the proxy in the connection config without intervenction and then it doesn't work (but this happens when I connect through AS).
I'm using WM6 clean version (not the pdaviet).
for some really really weird reason the only web page that i can bring up is the www.cingular.com website. nothing else. that is just weird. so now i have to resort to opera mini but i just want my PIE to work. anyone got any other ideas? a little help
using pdaviet3 .. no problems untill now even google personalized homepage works great....
I GOT IT FIXED!!!! Good thing i have 2 8125's. so i just looked at the registry settings on my old one and i saw that for user agent it had HTC-8100 mozilla and all that good stuff. so got it fixed with sktools and now all is great. so thanks to anyone who tried. but yeah pd v3 is working awesome! Love it

And could you please share which keys have you modified, please? Because I continue with the same problems...
ok if you have sktools or something that shows you your registry settings this is how they should be:
user agent:
HTC-8100/1.2 Mozilla/4.0
user agent (version)
MSIE 5.5
user agent (platform)
Windows CE
user agent (description)
Default (Windows CE)
these as the stock settings. if they dont look like this then there might be a problem. Good luck
i'm in the registry but I did a search through the registry and can't find any mention of user agent, can you give me a full path? thanks

I suggest that you buy sktools. its an awesome program and there you will see what i was talking about. Or atleast use the trial version and then get into the tune up! option. and then click on the pie tab on the bottom and you will see all that good stuff buddy. try out. hope this helps you out.

anyone have a cab for ICS? i had it on my WM6 wizard, but im kinda missing it on my 8925/tilt ive tried searching the forum here, but we all know how well the search works..

Are you sure it isn't in the Windows directory?
I've read in HowardForums several AT&T Tilt users are using Internet Sharing out of the box, but there isn't a Start Menu shortcut for it.

Slow text messaging?
You mean there's a way to up the speed?
I just though that was one of the graphical issues that would be fixed if proper drivers were implemented.
disable xt9
Disable auto-correct and word suggestion also.
yep i disabled it already...
but there used to be a cab that fixed this problem perfectly..?

Remove xT9 as per other users suggestions and then install this file here.

Scroll down until you see the CAB file I posted. This works great on the HTC and is also made by HTC anyway and is not slow.

Opera was not meant to be available on the Xperia from the beginning - just in the last time of developement they decided to include it. But that is no excuse - the should have been able to make the panels use Opera even in that shorter time
This works great, big thanks!
Is it possible to do the same in messaging?
Everytime i open a link on my exchange account, failexplorer opens instead of opera.
Would be very very nice if you could change this to
Thnx, easy as pie, works like a charm!
Excellent, thank you, works without a hitch
Btw, is there a way to change "default browser" in the phone? Explorer keeps on popping upp all over the place when I click on link in messages and such...
Will try this now, thank you a million times!

MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP your settings.. so far it worked for me but i dont know if it effect anything else.
i went to my registry setting:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\Shell\Open\Command and changed 'iexplore.exe' %1 to 'operaL.exe %1'
i also did this change to the 'https'
TRY at your OWN RISK

shame as at least Vodafone were clever enough to get their panel to launch Opera by default for the webpages.

Impossible ?

hey guys i did was wondering if this would be possible. Is there any way to answer intercom or page someone over windows mobile device? I need program like that so bad and i cant find nothing close. Thanks for your time.
Can you elaborate a little .... "answer intercom or page someone"????
What are you trying to do?
I guess you want it to work as a walkie-talkie?

at&t's version of this is the Push to Talk. Costs extra.
Other than that I suppose you could try and setup Skype on your phone, but that's not really walky-talk type stuff. But it avoids voice charges.
may not be what you're after but i was playing with parlingo yesterday specifically the voice chat and when i sent a "voice note" to my buddy it played the message without him doing anything. now we already had a chat session opened (didn't try without it being started)
It's possible

If you've got a bluetooth-enabled intercom, it's possible. You could do it with a wire as well.
As for paging someone, you could text them.
If you want a walkie-talkie style device, there's a program out there (I forget it's name, but found it using Google) that lets you do this using the WiFi connection on your phone. Works okay even with full-duplex voice communications.
If you give us some more information on what you want to achieve, I'm sure we'll be able to help more.

4Talk is the one that I was referring to earlier. Thanks for pointing me back at it!
It'll work over infrastructure or ad-hoc wifi networks, so with a bit of configuration you can get it to work just like a walkie-talkie.
