Why are all the kaiser roms with JOINED MMS
I hate the joined MMS/SMS
And no matter what i do I cant get them to seperate
Is there a specific path to take with kaiser roms
on my hermes i could just install a cab i have for SPLIT MMS
it does nothing on my kaiser

Well first of all, most people probably just didn't answer because this question should have been a new thread in the rom DEVELOPMENT forum.
Second, to get split sms/mms you only need to install an older version of archsoft mms, like the one in my cabs folder linked in my signature. Make sure to soft reset immediately before you install the cab.
I never liked palm threaded text messaging, so i can't tell you if it works on wm6.1 roms, but all WM6.1 roms have threaded messaging already.
Both of these answers could have easily been found using the search function on the site.
tramane, i personally can't help you on this but i do know that Dutty has done this from some of his roms if you want to check there or contact him for some help. If he is able to help you out please post here so others can see what needs to be done.
I too like the split SMS and MMS but ever since i stopped using Dutty's roms i haven't had that and i've learned to deal with it. Although i have a PIM backup that i can only get the MMS from if i have those two split so yeah please let us know.

Im no super noob, i been flashing hacking and unlocking for a minute
I just wasnt posting,
But all in all, from what i gather noone has been able to get the palm app working on kaiser, which baffles me. Why would it work on the hermes?
Im assumin becuase the palm and hermes have OMAP processors
And when the mms function checks for available emory to complete the operation it fails and gives an OUT OF MEMORY error
IMHO the palm app kills the wm6.1 on pure speed
ITS MUCH FASTER
But im gonna try again to install arcsoft mms 4.2.8.1 and see if that works

Well to begin with, i meant it shouldn't be in the rom development, lol, but i think they moved it anyway to software.
I know there was a palm sms/mms app that was used on WM6.0 for the kaiser, but i never used it on WM6.1. I know many people used it cause it threaded the messages. You could try to hunt that down, just make sure you disable threaded messaging in kaisertweaks first just to be safe. Like i said, i've never tried it. If i find the link then i'll hook you up with it in a bit.

Hey i installed the new ROMeOS
it has split ms/sms
So i installed the palm threaded and use the palm for texting
And the wm6.1 default for mms
Works so far
There arent any wm6.0 roms left are there?
becuase there are speed enhancements with 6.1 correct?

Well I'd really assume it's just because everyone is porting stuff from the diamond/xperia/omnia/raphael and all those are only wm6.1.
Also nobody wants to cook something old when there's something new. Plus they did add some enhancements related to screen rotation...mostly it's just the new and shiny thing...i never used wm6.0 much so i don't know.
love the new r3 touch roms, however, with my massive usage of text, it renders it useless for me. my only option is to stick with the windows 6.5 rom because of sms. i posted a few times about my problem with sms, but i been having the same issue ever since r3 came out and people started using them in the roms. so my question is if theres any roms left that is based on r2 for sms/mms.
again, ill repeat that my problem with the new r3 sms is that it does not mark all text as read once i exit a thread, i would have to exit the thread as many times as i recieve a text in order to clear it.
at first i thought it was just a problem in my end, but after testing all the roms, they all have that problem, so i "assume" that it is a function of the r3 rom. unelss i am wrong.

try my Xperia Touch X ROM, its based on sms R2, mms Topaz, its working 100 percent fine...

i actually tried your rom last night and i loved it. however, it still has that sms problem. do you have the same problem as well? if you are saying that you rom uses r3 sms, then maybe its not the r3 sms thats causing the problem, and could be another issue associated weith the new r3 =/

well the problem dosnt lie with either r1,2,3 or topaz, its the microsoft thing...
but what i can remember theres a tweak out, try searching for it, but strangly i dont have the problem, could be the fact that im using touchflo for reading.

the problem happens when i recieve more than 2 texts. if you can, can you test out the problem? not sure if you understand exactly what my issue is but its like when i recieve lets say 5 text messages, i go into the thread and exit, and it will say i hav 4 new messages, and i would need to go in again and exit it 4 times ( so 5 total) in order to clear all the new message notifications. if you dont have that problem, then maybe its me...but i been having that problem ever since the new r3 cooked roms. but its weird i dont have this problem in windows 6.5
but iw ould love to use your rom if that issue is resolved :[ :[!!!
btw what is the tweak called?
hey everyone. I flash EnergyROM two days ago, and I'm facing a rather important bug that trouble me, I can't add a MMS server from Messages - All Messages - menu - Settings - Options - MMS server, when I click "new" to add a new MMS server, there is not any response, nothing happens. I wonder if some other guy who flash the same ROM is facing the same problem and how can I fix it? THX very very much!
Here is my machine's information, SE X1 with EnergyROM KOVSKY 20090914 StandardM2.5.

I'm sorry but There are too many replies in EnergyROM thread..
i m having the same problem, but a little bit different, i can set up the mms server, but it does not work in any way, i was searching in registry and found many entries with HTCs servers, cingular servers, but i m brazil, and cant put the mms to work, even changing tre registry entries, but as i dont know very well how to manipulate the registry its still not working, both ways sending and receiving
MMS Issue with Energy ROM
Yeah.. I totally love this particular rom of all the ones out there and picture messaging hasn't worked for me either.. I'm U.S.-ATT
I've actually been sending via email as a work around because I like the rom that much.. Hope this does get resolved...
That problem is due to the leo message app? I have never really got mms working properly when using different roms with it cooked in. Try setting up the connection manually.
Well, i had already tested the jack4.x rom, MultimediaOS from KidDc(i think) and this perfect and bealtiful energy rom, and the only one that was able to send mms was the multimediaOS, but the ROM is ugly and still imature, no good for me...
Im using the operator TIM here in brazil...
if anyone has the solution...
I dont know too, if the energyROM already comes with arcsoft, or it attempts to send via other software(because in system/remove programs, it does not show nothing)
PS: in the multimediaOS the arcsoft version was 5.0.43.98, but neither google could find it...

THANKS. It really works. but with a pity that can't use HTC message, I love the beautiful looks.
Let's try this new ROM from Dutty and share our findings. I hope that will be bugless Maybe someone who already flashed it can put some screenshots and share his opinion.

Twitter seems to have problems with HD CONNECTING
Enable clicking settings to go directly to settings rather than through manila.
Added my old Muchos theme as a second theme in Rom to use soft reset required.
Some other minor amendments and performance tweaks.
My Location works but only through WIFI and also depends on user Location.
My ROMs are made close to Stock as possible but fully tweaked for speed , performance and stability, so please do not expect any alterations or manila modding.

Lite weight ROM,
good speed, had couple of freeze while setup, after a HR everyting was smooth.

I agree with you. There is no need to make a tread with Dutty rom here anymore. Dutty have chosen to leave xda-developers and move on at HTCpedia. That is he's choice, so we most axcept it.
Just glad that he contiue to make rom's for Blackstone, but sad, that he left xda.

No - it will send 2 sms.
How can I send a text with maybe 320 signs as an mms when I am replying on an incoming sms?

Hi! well, the first: Congratulations for this ROM Dutty! It's increible!!
But now, I tell you two problems I have.
1.- In settings->options in the SMS MENU, I unmark the check of "Use Unicode when necessary" but this check always I enter is mark it's a problem, because one sms with 323 characters is send in 5 sms when really it must use 2 or 3 sms.
2.- I thought in send my sms of 323 characters by MMS but I don't know how I can send MMS :O

in R5 version i can choose all city i want in meteo on manila... why not in R6 version??
some problem to add favourite contacts on manila tab...
in r5 i had a lot of problem with sms.. i don't receive all message from my friends

Very good and speedy ROM. It does not have the autoconnect bug.
The only bug I have found is that when the Alarm sounds, the Reminder also sounds so you have 2 sounds in the same time. Maybe someone knows a registry fix, because I don't want to stop the Reminder sound.

ok so Im a noob when it comes to the HTC tilt. i bought it about a week ago and since then i have upgraded to WM 6.1 and installed the Kaiser Tweak, Black Theme, Opera Mobile 10 beta and Mobium GPS software. The phone seems kind of laggy, when i go to "wake it up" it will occasionally flash then immediately go "back to sleep". I also noticed today that when i slide the keyboard out to txt message, the word completion window pops up with nothing in it and if i hit the menu tab there are just hyphens in it, no actual words i.e. delete, forward,insert......so on. I need help. i flashed the WM 6.1 last night and didnt have these problems till about an hour or so ago....with the exception of the lag.
Welcom to the WM 6.1 'upgrade'
Although I've never had a Tilt (mines just the HTC version of a TyTN II), some of the issues you describe were problems I'd found with the default HTC 6.1 upgrade. Sometimes what people expect to be an improvement because it's newer, isn't necessarily better. If you want to go back to how it was, read up the Wiki here at xda-dev which will tell you how you can flash back to the original WM 6.0 setup (or perhaps you may prefer the slightly newer but still WM 6.0, 1.62 series ROM referred to here ).
ok....well ive been browsing and ive seen ALOT of these "cooked" roms. what r these exactly and has anyone had luck with a specific one. i know that everyone has their preference but again...im new. I dig the black theme and the threaded SMS is a must have. i also like the kaiser tweak....does any one have a file for threaded SMS if i decide to go back to 6.0

No, no-one has ever had any luck with a cooked (or customised) ROM... But seriously if you want to know which is best it will depend what you want it to do and even then asking which is best is frowned upon here at xda-dev (because it can cause flame wars so it's a no-no). What most people do is try them and see. I've tried a few and always ended up going back to stock to get fast GPS. Have a search for threaded SMS - I don't recall if that's possible under WM 6.0 but maybe there's a cab around. Have a good read in the wiki section as well -there's lots of usefull info in there. I hardly ever use sms so what I have is good enough for my needs.

Well I'm not sure if you have tried that or not but, did you check your memory?? like is you mobile memory or even your memory card full or kind of full?? that really makes the mobile sooooooo slow and boring specially if you have an 8GB almost full memory card. One more thing, it's better if you close the word completion option as i had a problem before that the mobile had saved too many entries that it reached a limit were each time i try to write a msg it just freezes the whole mobile and that problem wasn't solved except when i stopped the word completion

for the bold part in the quote above, disable cleartype in landscape...the functionality is broken in most combinations of video drivers with WM6.1 on the kaiser.
