Swedish keyboard - Wing, P4350 Herald Upgrading

Hi there!
I have a problem, i just flashed my wing to OTV7.
It works great, BUT heres the thing.
My keyboard is swedish (has öäå). But the english herald
don't have the same hotkeys like my keyboard.
Is there a way to change the keyboard language or any rom that's
using the swedish keyboard?
If it's is impossible, is it hard to get the windows software back that
i had in the first place?
thank you for helping me
Kind regards
Pontus

No matter which rom I put in my Herald, I always install the attached cab. Don't know the source of it. Found it on a second hand Herald I bought a while ago.
Always works though, even with 6.5 roms.
Lycka till!

Colored keyboard cab for dutch?

I saw some WWE keyboard skins laying around on the forums, now i tried to install that WWE skin on my dutch HTC WM6 rom, but it doesnt work. Any idea how to get it working on a dutch WM6?
Nobody knows how to convert the WWE keyboard skins to Dutch or whatever?
There have been several posts about changing the keyboard lay-out in the registry which depends on your country. Try searching for the change that has to be made.
You can try changing your country code for the keyboard skin from WWE to dutch.
Does not work to work mate.
Are you looking for a cab that changes the skin and color of your keyboard? I think it depends on what kind of keyboard and device you are using. If you're using the generic keyboard, here's a cab that changes the skin/color of your keyboard. I'm assuming you're is a wing or unbranded herald. If you're suing a dutch rom, I don't think it matters, because you're just changing the color/skin of your keyboard, but I may be wrong. I hope this helps.
Tnx m8, im gonna try it. Thanks for the help.
Edit: to bad it aint working.
Hi Bio88. sorry, but my english is very bad.Changing the keyboardcolor with the Prog - it doesn`t work on my Orbit. Can you help me ? Another idea ?

Wanted: German VGA Phonepad

Hey,
I´m reading on this Forum for a while now and i used the search also, but i can´t find a german gersion of Phone Pad/ Intelli Pad! I don´t like the preinstalled keypads, i think they are too slow.
I would be very happy for any help, thnx so far!
Hi,
which files you need exactly?
I would prefer a cab file! To get a keypad working wich is faster than the orginal! I got this keypad on my other wm-phones and was very happy with it!
I´m looking for Phonepad VGA resolutin with german T9
Would like this too. i'm using the PhonePad/ IntelliPad for years now, and it's really disappointing that i cannot use it on the diamond any longer.

Letter Recognizer, Umlauts & english ROM

Hi there
I've got the AthineOS WWE in English (english ROM Version, WM 6.1). I don't want to change the language actually, but I'd like to use the Letter Recognizer Function for writing SMSes/MMSes. It does work, but because I need to write in German it would be perfect, if I could somehow bring my Kaiser to recognize the handwritten Umlaut Inputs...my old P3300 with Swissgerman ROM did that, so I guess it depends on the ROM. Perhaps there is some hint or .CAB File to change that?
Thanks so much in advance

No ideas?
Well, I was running the official HTC German 6.1 ROM on a US HTC Tytn II (non-AT&T but the real one) - made it easier in a long run. It was even more fun having the entire device in German. Setting up the hardware keyboard to US English ... well, that part I had to figure out on my own since nearly everything on here was nothing but a TILT fix. In the end that was not hard either:

Swedish Hardware keyboard and software T9 fully working!

For all you swedish people that has not yett gotten this to work on WWE roms heres how i got it to work. I was so happy and as i seen no one has yett to post a good explination on how to get BOTH t9 and hardware to work. So here is how. If you follow this list YOU WILL get it to work. AND DO EXACLY as i tell you.
1. Download the latest Nrg rom 2.0 It has the new Manilla and i myself think Nrg does a great work with hes roms. Keeping them upp to date and good speed.
Install this rom then continue to next chapter
2. Download the lang pack so that you can get full swedish support on all menus and so on so forth.
http://xboxmod.totalgamer.org/release/additionnal_language.cab
or from the new manilla thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493531
3. On your phone Press start then go to Programs / Utilities then run the Keyboard selector program. choose Htc Keyboard.
4. Download the
[APP] Scandinavian KB Tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496876&highlight=swedish
Install and run this program. when its upp Select Norwegian. NOT swedish. Restart the Phone and you will be able to type åäö using your hardware keyboard.
5. now open the registry editor and go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI]
and put in on "CurLang"=41D
this will make whole meny swedish
6. now to make your t9 swedish WITHOUT crewing upp your Hardware keyboard.
go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=402121
And download that cab and install it to your phone.
When done go to the T9 config and select swedish.
You have now a phone with full swedish config and a good new rom.
Hope you enjoy this and are as happy as i were when i got this working.

Nice Work jimmyhawkin!
One Question ... Does this change the complete system to Swedish or Manila only?
Mvh
HueMann i Skåne
Well manila only for this one but i guess the only thing left to do is change region setting to swedish and you have all fixed
Note that with the Nrg rom and the new manila you hardly ever see anything but the manila shell. Depends on what you work with. but for normal uses you hardly ever see anything but manila.
But if you want to go even further then i deskribe change the region setting to swedish.
May I ask why my posts were deleted?
I think they have a rule here that only "members" with 1000 posts or more can post..... I've also noticed my posts being removed or Moved to the "Don't Ask Questions!" Thread as well...
This is amazing
Thanks alot, Jimmy!
I'm actually really satisfied with this ROM, and the manilla is just amazing.
Together with this Swedish pack, it's perfekt, if you don't think about the small manilla bugs, which will probably be fixed by the Xboxmod people.
Huge thanks!
One thing, though; is there any way to make the whole WM6.1 Swedish?
Google is your friend But i search this time for you.
As it seems sins this rom has a English windows mobile installed. Swedish is not included. So you will have to live without that.
But if you ask me its a small price 2 pay sins its not verry often you digg down that deep in to the system. Normal days use your in Manilla all the time.
So sorry swedish in windows is not possible. But if you want a fast rom with the new manilla this is the way to go. If you want a rom that totaly swedish and frankly made me nuts sins its so slow and ****ty. well then you use the rom icluded on the phone or a shedish rom that can be downloaded here on the forums. but thats the same as the one that comes with the phone.
cant get it to work
i did as you sayd and åäö doesnt function wat to do ?

Anyone got it to work on Touch Pro II?
Here, I have posted the file additionnal_language.cab as an attachment.
Thanks to westw for the URL earlier.
This solution work's great on my raphael with skandinavian hw keyboar.
wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Raphael_Keyboard
I had to use -Norwegian (Bokmal) 1044 because finnish version did not work.
Now every button's with FN+ funktion works like they should work.
Does this work with the latest NRG ROM? With Manila 2.5 Max sense?

Can't get this to work. I replaced 1033 with 41D in CurLang and did softrestart. Nothing changed for me
Edit: Hardreset fixed it instead. Thanks!

ÅÄÖ is all availible if you press and hold A and O buttons, just as in the swedish 6.1 rom. There is currently no swedish keyboard with dedicated ÅÄÖ.
But if you want to have swedish XT9 you can download and install this cab: http://rapidshare.com/files/261765693/Ez_Input.zip This is confirmed (by me atleast) working on all WWE 6.1 and 6.5 roms.
Thanks, the T9, thats what i meant of course
Think, install the T9 cab in not necessary.
In the standard HTC kbd/T9 SVE is present as a rule. You need enable it by registry:
ADD:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\Sip\LanguageKeyboardIDMapping]
"011d"="091d"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\LdbFiles]
"011D"="SVlsUN.ldb"
CHANGE:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9]
"AvailableLanguages"="0109,010C,0107,0110,010A,011D"
Ok, thanks!
yeah, you can edit the reg to get it to work but the cab is just a easier way.
I used the cab, it was easier.
In general i think the T9 in HTC-phones sucks!
When it comes to swedish, it has problems sugestining words with letters åäö in the beginning, like " på " är " ångra " and its common in swedish, same with original ROM.

hi i dl ez input and install its on my htc diamond 2
i dont got any åäo on my keyboard pls any help?
This doesn't solve your T9 problems, but I would like to suggest that you try FingerKeyboard instead. I use a full qwerty layout, preferably in landscape and I type really fast with it.
You find FingerKeyboard in Blackstone app section. If there is no swedish layout there I can upload my own design.

Great, I am interested in seeing your design for WVGA. I am not happy with the Swedish ones I have seen so far.

Anything else that will be different from my Swedish TD2 with standard ROM?
