I need to revert back to stock rom and stock SPL - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

Alrighty just to make sure i am doing things right. so I have dowloaded the R2AA008NAM rom and i downloaded the stock SPL. I am aware that i have to flash the R2AA008 NAM rom first then the stock SPL. The real main question is that for the R2AA008 NAM rom, do i treat it like a regular ROM and flash the stock rom on my device with the flash card method? or do i need to do something else? Any help is appreciated, thanks

You would have to re-flash the stock ROM first then the SPL. Here's the video tutorial

You'll need to get an official ROM and flash it. (official ROMs contain the shipped SPL as well as the OS)
I already have the official 2.27 unlocked ROM. I tried to reflash it but still the SPL stays the same. Do I need to do something before flashing the official ROM?

When I flash the offical ROM. It did not remove hardSPL. I also tried using the Recovery software. that didn't seem to remove the hard-SPL either. it is not a major problem at the moment for me. but I like to know how to remove HardSPL. (Incase I need to send it back for service.)

How to flash an extracted SPL?

Hey Guys,
sorry, I´m searching the whole time after how to flash just an spl, for an extracting I used the NBH util.
My plan:
1) I want to flash my O2 branded Diamond, without flashing a hardSPL.
2) As I understood, it´s possible just to extract an SPL from the newest HTC rom, and flashing this with DiamondCustomRUU in the first step.
3) After this I should have the possibility to flash a full HTC Rom?
Are there any misunderstandings? because I can´t flash the extracted SPL with DiamondCustomRUU.exe.
What did I wrong, and what should I do?
Cheers, Chris
No one any idea???????????????????????
it might be possible to do this!
but you have to be careful not to get device ID/version different on both the OS or the SPL!
but why not just put hard spl and then revert back to stock SPL when you want to at a later stage! all versions of the stock SPL are availble on the rom developement forum

Flashing Back to Stock ROM

can anyone give me a step by step on how to flash my ROM back to STOCK?
if you want it for warranty reasons then you will need to flash the SPL also to stock. you can just download the latest ROM from HTC website and flash it. it will give you the stock ROM on the existing SPL.
End of the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2710548&postcount=1.
Remember you will also need to go back to stock spl if for warranty purposes.
i have another problem, when in bootloader it wont change from serial to usb but was a week ago

I've kinda got thesame question. I flashed a stock rom (latest EU rom from HTC site), then stock SPL (1.14) and then the stock rom again. Is this enough to be able to claim warranty without HTC finding out about custom roms/boatloaders?
Thanks

That depends. What was your original rom and spl? Are you entitled (via location) to use the new EU rom, eg if you live in America then this may not be acceptable to HTC.
When you boot up the new rom, are the screen colours ok as this will tell you if you have the right spl for your rom? If you have the latest EU rom, I doubt that 1.14 spl would be the right one, but it could be I guess. With the stock rom, you should also get the stock radio. So provided you have the stock rom available to your area, with the correct matching spl and the radio, there is no way to tell of your exploits
Thanks for your reply
The problem is that the screen of my device won't turn on anymore (Device powers on, I can connect with activesync, digitizer works fine) so i have no way of checking if I have the right SPL or not...
I also have no idea what my stock rom/spl/radio version was.. I live in the Netherlands, and through the official HTC site i flashed the latest rom, which included a radio (a radio version was part of the filename). What I'm trying to find out is:
Could 1.14 have been my stock SPL, or was that version never used on any Dutch Blackstone?
If the spl doesn't match the rom (wrong colours) that isn't much of a problem; I can tell them I tried to update my rom because I thought maybe my screen would work again after I installed the latest ROM... But if I have a SPL that was never even used I don't think they will buy that
According to the wiki there are 2 Dutch roms - one would require a 1.14.0000 spl and the other a 1.54.0000 spl. So I guess either of those would do.
When you flashed the rom from the website, where you still using hspl or uspl? Depending on the rom you flashed you will need to flash the matching spl. Do you have the full notation/naming of the rom you flashed. This should give an indication of which spl you will need.
As much as I appreciate ClydeB1 for assisting you, I fail to see a reason for this thread. A thread already exists for flashing advice, i.e. the dummies guide. Also the HardSPL thread exists and has advice on how to flash back to stock. So depending on your query post in either of these.
The initial query and reason this thread was created has been answered, so no need for this thread to remain open. Thread closed

[Q] Does stock ROM include stock SPL?

Hi,
I have a Dutch Touch Pro2 (unbranded) which I would like to return for warranty (some buttons on the keyboard aren't functioning properly) and I don't know much about SPL...
I've flashed the stock HTC Touch Pro2 ROM which I found at the HTC website. Now is my question:
Should I also flash back a stock SPL or is that included in the stock rom?
If not, where could I find it, and how should I flash it back?
Greetings,
Job
you have to flash "stock" hardspl back. I know as much as you about hardspl, sorry i couldn't be of more help :\
Yes, it does contain the SPL.
HardSPL by OliNex does contain a black, so the SPL doesn't get changed.
Hi Jackos,
I've flashed back Stock SPL 0.87... So when I now update my ROM, should it change the SPL then to the SPL included in that rom?
found it here by the way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131

How to go back to original ROM?

I have G1 on custom ROM WG Built Y-2.6.
How to flash beack original ROM?
Thanks.
What's your SPL, and Radio? If your 2708+ with the new SPL. I don't think you could flash the original 1.6 ROM. But if your not, just search the Form's for Android 1.6 for HTC Dream or T-Mobile G1. Then flash it like any other ROM.
thanks for response.
radio is 0-1.22.12.29
HSPL 10.95.3000
is it possible to flash original rom?
From what I know yes.
Sent from my HTC Dream using XDA App
I need full instruction to downgrade. Cannot find any on forum.
Find unrooting guides. They often put you back to stock.
Oversimplified instructions:
1. Flash the stock .nbh file in hboot
Done
