Roms and Radio

Starting of with that I'm a Newbie to these Roms and radio will probably get alot of posts with comments like "did you try the search bar, ..". But i'm giving it a go this way
my rom now is 1.56.00.00 and radio 1.27.12.11 - quite old yeah ? Anyway its a NL ( belgian ) radio i presume.
What can i do best to get my tytnt updated to wm 6.1 with a latest radio for my needs.
Does it matter wich rom i take ? is it regio-bounded ? if yes which newest radio file is available for dutch-belgian people ?
2ndly i heard that i need to unlock my phone first before i can flash this new rom on to it. do i lose my warranty on this tytnt then ? or can i backup the system and reinstall it later back if it has to go back for reparation in warranty?
remember im totaly new to this and it would be friendly if someone could give me a descent answer. Thanks
I would also be interested in this, i have HardSPL'd and managed to flash a HTC Asian WM6 ROM + latest Radio, but after 4 hours of reading these forums, cannot find a answer as to what i need to do to get to WM6.1. is it now just a case of flashing a 6.1 ROM?
Cheers,
Check the ROM development forum, there are several ROMs posted there.
You first need to unlock your phone, as it comes it wil not let you flash any ROM
To get Windows Mobile 6.1, just flash any of the many available ROMs, some of them are HTC official ones. The radio depends on the ROM, but basically they are divided between 1.64 or older radios, and 1.65 newer radios.

Check this thread about radios:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349375
Yours is new, but it's a WM6 radio
Recent WM 6.1 radios are 1.58.XX.XX, 1.64.XX.XX. or 1.65.XX.XX
Check official HTC and AT&T shipped ROMS here

Or try any of the cooked ROMS, they come with a lot of stuff preinstalled and different looks.
cheers trying NoThrills WM 6.1 V3 ROM atm, simplicity first
please read kaiser wiki ... its in english
a rom is a rom. As long as it is for your phone it's all the same. You flash the 6.0 the same as the 6.1..

Official ROM

In my Diamond is ROM 1.35.405.1. I have seen also newer ROM, which begins with 1.37...

Yes its available...have you tried HTC website??..if its not there then have a look in the Diamond ROM section of this forum...

HTC has not yet released official ROM for Touch Diamond in their website. Seen in post of PPCSG that the ROM 1.37 will only be released in 4-6 weeks.

Some questions

Hi there!
I was just offered a Trinity, so I came here looking for information on how to update it. I already read a lot of things and managed to install the latest Radio and tried some custom ROMs, no problems whatsoever.
However, I still have some questions I can't find answers for:
1 - Why use a custom ROM? Isn't it possible to use the original WM and then install only what you want?
2 - If it is, where can I find a ROM with the original WM6.1 and 6.5?
3 - If not, what is the least modified ROM I can get with 6.1 and 6.5? Or at least some ROM with only the basics.
4 - Is TouchFlo the same as Manilla? I've seen both words but I don't know the differences.
Thanks in advance!

1. Flashing Custom ROM is faster then installing a whole package like with manila2d.
2. No, trinity only ship with original 6.0 ROM.
3. If you want 6.1 ot 6.5, flash an Ultralite ROM or cook your own. For p3600i 6.1 - try this
p3600i 6.5 try this
If you have the original p3600. Check the Trinity Upgrade Article in the wiki. Remember Lite ROM.
4.TouchFLO is the original that is shipped with the Elf/in
Kaiser etc... Manila is TouchFLO3D and it is bundled with the Diamond and Pro. And Manila2D a slimmed version of TF3D that is used in the Viva and 3G and can be installed in most WM phones.

[Q] Which DIAM100 official ROM works on DIAM110?

I have searched high and low and concluded that HTC Diamond unlocked US version (DIAM110) does not have any aftermarket official ROM update. The one and only one ROM is the one that loaded on the device. It is WM6.1 build 19965.
Did anyone try to load the latest Euro WWE version of official ROM update (WM6.1 build 20764) onto DIAM110? I understand that this requires the device to be HardSPL'ed 1st.
I am still hesitated to try cooked ROM, unless I know I can go back to the true official ROM image originally intended for DIAM110.
In the past, HTC support had the shipped ROM available for download, but now I can't seem to get hold of the DIAM110 shipped ROM.

hi firends
im new in xda
i have a diamond2 with winmob6.5 and orginal rom and manila 2.1
i need some butty thems for my device
please help me
thx
Why dont you upgrade to latest official ROM, as ALL latest official Diamond2 ROM comes with newer OS Core and Manila 2.5 also it will install newer Radio ROM . So once you have the latest ROM you can try newer Manila Mods... or if you like you can also go for Custom ROMs too (AS Custom ROM will have Latest OS Core and Manila, and these will be newer than the Latest Official ROM Update ).
Cheers!!!
thanks

If you need Official ROM you get from your regional HTC Site... for India Link Visit Here. You may select the country/region from top of the page.
If you need Cooked/Customized ROM (I will prefer this ) you can select one from the WiKi page. Try couple of ROM and see which one fits for you.
Cheers!!!
