Does anyone know why the smiley shortcut on the "newline" key dissapers in chompsms when you can use it in the standard sms app??
And can I do something to get it to work the same way??

hey with the new cupcake out, is there a way to get an auto rotate on the osncreen keyboard on the default messaging program like chomp, that flips to a sideways keyboard? and to enable a vibration whenever you hit a key? thanks
you should look into investing Better Keyboard. its like 1.99 and the skins are free
Just go to your settings and go to sound and display and enable rotate then go to settings>locale text and enable vibrate.

Are you wanting t9? If you are its there just go into settings and locale and text andset it up.

i want the traditional block input method
Use the Touch Input keyboard if you want numeric keypad (it also has compact qwerty).
It comes pre-installed in the Cyanogen ROMs

I feel so stupid for not being able to figure it out , but how exactly do you go to a new line when compiling a text message with Swype keyboard? Inside Samsung’s SMS app, the return key is replaced with a shortcut to emoticons. Which I think is a nice customization, but I would also like to be able to go to a new line somehow. My swype ver is 1.62.38.8642.
Have you tried to access the "cursor keys"? Just swype the two bottom left keys from left to right. Mine doesn't have the emoticons so I can't test it.
Cursor keys layout doesn't have an enter key either,i have attached both layouts. Is there a gesture of some sort??

Hello, I wish to use the multi tap keyboard instead of QWERTY keyboard for messaging etc. Currently using ICS keyboard. I dont wanna use the GO Keyboard ex. There is multitap keyboard available for my current keyboard. I can see it while entering my number on WhatsApp Messenger. I just dont know how to switch to Multitap keyboard..
everyone knows Jb is out and many users are enjoying but the messaging app same as ics have no enter key and like ics have smiley so was wondering could anyone get the app with enter key instead of smiley

but if you press the shift button, you get the "enter" button
