[APP REQUEST] Playstation Network for Windows Mobile - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

I know that at least one app has been developed for iPhone to work with the PSN (on PS3) so that a person can see their friends list, so why can't it been done with Windows Mobile? I don't see how it's not possible (but, I'm not a developer, either).
You CAN see whether your friends are online and their status within a browser at http://www.us.playstation.com/PSN/Home, btw.
I will keep my fingers crossed in hopes that there is something out there for this or that someone would be able to develop a simple app for it.

Here's what workshed's "myPSN" iPhone app looks like:

Any developers have their eye on this? I hope so!
Just sneaking in here to bump it up.

Yea this sounds like it would be an awesome app. If I was any good at programming I'd try it. But i'm not even sure what programs people use to make apps for mobile phones.

I know... I would use this all the time. On my way home from work last night I was just thinking "man, I wish I had an app to see if any of my friends are on PSN right now". It'd be so helpful.
But, only a dream as of now. I wish someone would jump on this. If they did I'd be sure to donate to 'em.

The only programs you need to make an app are notepad and a compiler. It sounds more simple than it is though.

Well if I knew C++ or whatever it is you use to write apps, I would [try to] do it. All I know is some web dev stuff like HTML, CSS, and such.

I was thinking about something like this the other day. I'd be very interseted in this as well.. Maybe I'll look into it a bit..

Try some Google.
#1. xbox live friends status app for windows mobile
#2. How to Check XBox Live Info on BlackBerry, iPhone and Windows Mobile
My Google search: xbox live windows mobile app
Now we just need some support for PSN (PS3)!!

I've found some promising places to start with this. Will update if I can get the list to actually work.

So far I've found out how to login to the network. I can return the PSN username and some other limited information. The list still eludes me..

How's the progress, sir?

Can I get ANYONE else interested in working on something like this?

Getting the list is proving to be quite difficult.

PSN for Windows Mobile... Yes Please.
Someone really needs to make an App like this.
I find it hard to believe that the iPhone got one before Windows Mobile...

sadly not anymore. There was once an app called MUSICID by Shazam for windows mobile but sadly this doesnt work well with diamond due to the VGA screen. There is no music identification software for the diamond at present and isnt likely to be. Developers just dont seem to be interested in developing for windows mobile anymore, everything is going to symbian or iphone. Sign of the times im afraid and a particular beef of mine..
heh, thanks for that dose of doom & gloom, bane. but seriously, it's a good idea to port this, i wonder if one of the developers isn't thinking up something right now...

I think this is the same app I mentioned originally that doesnt work well with Diamond's VGA screen. However id like to test to make sure. Is anyone subscribed to that forum, can you grab the file? I tried to register there but recieved no verification email.
**EDIT** Here it is, but not tested yet
nope it doesnt work. Same display errors.
Where there ever be a solution for Shazam on windows mobile? *sigh*
iT WORKS BUT, it isnt well with Diamond's VGA screen !l
Familiar songs will identified without objections !
[Q]Any one know any program for HTC like Track ID?
Hi, does anyone know where I can find a program like TrackID (from Sony Ericsson) and I also seen this function available for Iphone which allows you record for few seconds and will find the song name via the net. I would love to have this program for HTC, i think is very handy. Thank you!
Hmm
Search for MusicID it is available
Do a search for MusicID. I had it for a while and it worked fine on QVGA. Not sure about VGA compatibility though.
This has been discussed before many times, esp by myself! I consider the issue as testament to the fact that support for windows mobile is dwindling to the iPhone.
There used to be a MusicID software for windows mobile by Shazam - unfortunately its designed for WM Smartphone edition (meaning no touch response) and hardware keys, secondly it doesnt display well at all on HTC Diamonds VGA screen.
To date there is NO Music Identification software for high end (VGA) Windows Mobile Devices. There is a demand but Shazam do not see Windows Mobile as a viable platform.

The photo is dark because i used a rc29 android g1 and we all know there camera app sucks!
anyways the graphics aren't half bad! with wifi it keeps up maybe 3-4 seconds lag time. Almost all keys are operational except im having a problem moving with keys "w,s,a,z". Other then that i can press enter and type or o to bring up friends list. if we can edit the app i used im sure we can get things running perfectly! Would work with many other games to.
NOTE: THIS POST IS NEW I DELETED MY OLD WAY OF PLAYING WOW SO DISREGARD MOST REPLIES BELOW.
Whoa... nerd.
Nah Im jk, this would be sweet.
Well this would be cool. I used to just VNC in. But isnt there a G1 app that let you install J2ME stuff? Wouldnt this still work on the G1?
Now give me a app to play FFXI and Im all over that. ^^ But still I may fiddle with this later tonight see if its workable.
I know Blizzard is very strict about third party type software, so be careful. I remember reading they were banning accounts running WoW through linux using wine emulation, picking it up as 3rd party software.

Yes, but that doesn't mean it won't happen again Just a warning
Meh Ive been in this battle since Ultima Online and still have it, FFXI "Windower" is a 3rd party tool, WoW same things. The key element that even internal staff has told me is that if your not trying to get noticed, you wont be harmed. Long as you dont try to make it so obvious your using something different.. or trying to script kiddie and be a idiot while doing it wrong... then yea.

i updated my post.
So you got it working basically? Did all the steps work or what.
Ok.... so can you tell us how?
I think I figured it out...but I decided to give it a shot using Diablo 2 instead of WoW because of the lower requirements
can u tell us how?
Crap...I completely messed up the joke. When I said "but I decided to give it a shot" I meant to put shot in italics as it's just a picture snapped through the camera. I'm still waiting on instructions again from the OP on how he got it running since he edited his post.
someone should make a thottbot application for the android
I used phone2pc. If we can get a developer to edit this app or maybe an app like it, I am sure we can work out all the bugs. Most of my keys work I can talk to people I can press a few of the quick keys like "o" brings up your friends list... I can tap the screen to exit out of things and start spells... but i can't walk. Some one should be able to figure this out and maybe even make the response time quicker.

[GAME]Sea Fight(Pomorski boj) - v1.1

I made a game called Sea Fight.
It's basicly a good old battleship game.
I would be very glad, if you tested it out.
Short description:
"Sea Fight" is a game in which two players compete against one another. The goal is to "sink" all enemy ships. The game supports one player against the computer. Two players can play at the same phone, or play at their phone via the Internet.
Key features (for now):
*Play solo vs. computer
*Play with buddy on the same phone
*Play with another player over the net (push notifications) - Beta
ZUNE LINK (or THIS LINK) for download
>>Help me, go to THIS LINK and LIKE my game<<
I can win a WP7 phone and continue to develop more awesome apps, that are actually tested on a device (this game was entirely developed on the emulator)

Good idea. Tell me, whether can play with buddy by bluetooth or only by internet ?
No Bluetooth for now... as far as i know, wp7 don't support Bluetooth integration in that way, so hopefully "mango" will change that...
EDIT: I have done some research and it seems that even "mango" has no Bluetooth API so there is no way to implement the multiplayer mode with that... maybe in "tango"

For now you can have just one game...
If you start another, the previous is cancelled.
I just want to make shore, that if someone want to connect to a server, that on the other side is someone, that is ready to play.
But the main problem at this time is, that there is not that much player
I'm just curious... how are the push notifications working? Are there big delays or is it to tolerate?
The game is fun and the response time from when the other play goes is great.
But I don't understand why you need push notifications when you cant save an internet game. I have to finish the game or start over if I need to use another application.

Push notifications are needed to instant send the move from one player to the other (Pl1->server->Pl2).
At the mango update I want to create a server-client based game, so the user experience will be better.
For the multitasking thing... if you create a server, you can go and do what you want (start button). After a player has connected, you receive a toast notification.
But once the game is started, you cannot save a internet game. It's kind of a design flaw I know, but for now it's good enough. Mango will change that...
On single or multiplayer mode that shouldn't be a problem...

You post dumb questions, people reply with dumb answers. This is the internet. Get used to it.
Anyway, on a more helpful note, you wont find a wp7 dialer, you might find something that has some of the features, but not all. I use exDialer, which is exceptional seeing as its barely been in development for 2 months and is absolutely brilliant. You can ofcourse build your own theme which would mimick wp7 closer
Just install the wp7 phone app and delete the phone appear from the /system/app folder.

Themes for Vista

Man I have been looking for themes for Vista and the only ones out there I can find want you to buy a third party app for $20 to install them on my laptop.
M$ site has zero themes for Vista even though you can change your theme where you personalize windows (right click desktop>personalize>themes)
I have googled enough to know that I need to patch Vista to allow third party themes but I am leary to do that when I know nothing about the sites I would be downloading from.
Just need a nudge in the right direction. Want to change the look of Winblows. Not just colors and background. Really kind of like to find an Android type theme.
Any help would be appreciated.
Running Vista Home Premium SP2
Considering going to 7 soon though and there appear to be a lot of themes for it out there but don't know if they need the third party app. M$ has like 4 themes.

Yes people still use it. It is a solid OS. And Windows 7 has been out long enough that it is getting near stable enough to switch over to so I will be migrating soon.
I hate that about the time Micro**** finally gets an OS working then they come out with a new one. Why not wait until the **** works right before releasing it?
Finally got around to playing with Rainmeter. Steep learning curve but fun to play with.
Here is my work in progress. This is a compilation of about 5 skins. Parts from here, from there. Then tailored in colors. The multi RSS feed was a PITA.
But it will evolve.
