How to change zoom level in IE6 on WM6.5? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

The zoom level in IE6 seems to be set for another device.
When I am all the way zoomed out it acts like it is set for 'normal' browsing.
Zooming in beyond this makes things WAY TOO BIG.
It would be nice to zoom out even further.
Any way to adjust/change the zoom level?

Have you tried double tapping in the browsing area?

I don't understand how that would change the hardcoded/registry controlled zoom levels?

I answered here, double thread:

still not answered.

how to change to landscape mode?

The phone can change to landscape mode in browser and photo viewer when i rotate it. But i don't know how to change it in other application, any ideas??
I don't think you can without some other addon program.
go to settings, system, screen, and its there?
I have checked there is nothing related to screen orientation under screen setting

According to the guy at coolsmartphone, it only works in the photo and web browser apps.
He clearly said he can change it in browser and photos. His accelerometer is fine. What he wants to know is how to manually rotate the screen in apps that don't support the accelerometer.

And as i pointed out above, it doesnt work unless your in the photo browser or web browser applications.
Im pretty sure given time, just like the Nokia N95 8gb which has a built in accelerometer, someone will program an app that woudl allow you to rotate the screen no matter what application or program you are running. At the moment on my N95 8GB phone, i have a neat little program called rotateme that does that function.

The word manual is crucial here. Windows Mobile devices can have the screen rotated manually, in the settings. The accelerometer has nothing to do with that.
Wow what a mess...
Spawn12: My comment was directed at 'walshieau', not you. He suggested his accelerometer was broken.
Dark Fire: Yeah that option isn't there on the diamond. The guy one coolsmartphone tried to look for it in one of the videos. 'ngod' also can't see it. Thats why i said you'd need some third party hack/program to do it.

Wow...That's quite rare. I wonder if the relevant registry entries are still there, and working. If they are, that's good. If they aren't that's really random.

Just a guess, but maybe it freaked out their accelerometer/flor3d stuff so they just removed it. I'm sure the registry entries and API are still there to do it tho.

Off Topic, but if you update to the latest N95 firmware it's officially built in now...

Yep your right, i updated mine a week ago and it does come with the rotate function built in...took them long enough to enable it lol.
ok an update, it ONLY works while you have opera browser open, and there is NO WAY to change it at the moment without an application doing it...

Yeah, I've been wondering for a while about what would happen in Opera and whatever else is affected by the accelerometer, if you had the Touch Diamond in landscape mode. Would everything rotate such that it would never be the right way up for you to read it?

yes it does, when closing Opera it reverts back...
AE Button Plus
AE button plus can do it when not in touchflo 3D . tested.
you can assign a hard button to rotate the screen.
ok i cant believe no one knows this but htc have disabled the screen rotation. has nothing to do with the g sensor. its disabled bc touchflo3d has been developed only for portrait and not landscape. other apps like the youtube app have also been designed for that. the manilla keyboard on the diamond has also been designed pretty much only for portrait. it just has a landscape qwerty layout.
its ment to be like the iphone where its portrait most of time. if you can overwrite the files within the windows folder im pretty sure u can bring it back. might be some registry too.

Question about KaiserTweak function

Hey, I was having some trouble with my TyTN's camera where taking a picture is really really delayed, it was taking a picture literally two or three seconds after I pressed the button.
Now, I inquired about this and someone told me KaiserTweak has an option under Camera to set the camera delay, but in the newest version of the KaiserTweak this option has been removed.
It seems like it would really help and I think I just need the old .cab version but I can't find any older versions of the tool.
Does anyone know why it was removed and/or where I can find an older version?
Cheers.

It was the version from june which had this option, i'm not aware of a newer version than that.
Also, is there a reason you didn't post this in the kaisertweaks thread?
sounds like you got the camera set to full press. you'll need change to half press and maybe turn the shutter sound off. you do this in the settings that are available while the camera is use uses

Thanks, I did this but still it gives a 2 or 3 second delay where if I move my phone the slightest it will capture a blurry image..
The shutter speed is soo damn slow, this has to be the worst camera tool I've ever used on a phone..
Is there no way to reduce the massive delay?
thanks again.

KaiserTweak's Capture Delay setting works for me on every ROM that I run. If you set the camera app to Half Press, and the delay to 0 seconds, but it's still not working, then it sounds like you've got some registry corruption going on there.

The thing is I have no option to set the delay to 0, which is what I need.. The current version of KaiserTweak does not have this feature so I need an older version if anyone has a copy??

KaiserTweak was originally written by Chainfire, but updated XML files are put out by Nikagl. Check out his thread here.

annoyance with opera?

seems as though i can only click a link in opera if i am zoomed in. when zoomed out and i click it, it highlights it but never follows the link, forcing my to double tap to zoom in then click again. anyone else have this?
plenty of times.....
any fix for it?
What's funny is you can even zoom in a very small amount using the touch circle button and then clicking the link works.
it's so stupid, very annoying.
I can't read the text if it's not zoomed in, so that's not really a problem to me

Can we seriously still not rotate and crop?

The Kaiser was able to crop photos and rotate them around, and I cant for the life of me stand to believe that this phone isnt capable without spb mobile shell. It wouldnt be so bad if the camera didnt store the photos upside down and sideways , no matter which way you hold the phone.
I have G sensor disabled for camera in G-config and can hold camera straight up and down and the pic store upside down one shot, and right side up the next. same problem if held horizontally. and take a pic. its becoming quite aggrivating lol. If I have missed something somewhere please flame me in the right dir .Thanks
I was a bit disappointed I couldn't find a decent app for this. As far as I know, cropping is limited to looking at a picture in Album, zooming to whaty you want then hitting menu and save screen, which will save what you see on your screen. Haven't seen any rotation or anything of the like anywhere. Perhaps whatever app you used before could be found or packaged as a cab and someone could provide that?

you can rotate and crop with the regular pictures and videos app
The tool you want to use for editing your photos is \Windows\pimg.exe (even most "cooks" don't remove this...I think it's the system's image rendering tool).
if you're like me and you really hate the reduced functionality of the Album app, just edit the file associations with Schap's Advanced Config, so they all open pimg instead of album.

A lot of time I use both depending on the site.
Both, like wgarrido said, it depends on the site.
Just wondering. Every xoom pic shows the thing in landscape so I got curious.
Portrait always. Typing is near impossible in landscape... Plus at this resolution landscape is unnecessary for any site i browse...
I almost always start in portrait because it's easier to hold. I often find myself switching when i'm reading on it, though, as you can zoom in more and have more at the screen at once.
