Overclock widget.. stays at 383mhz? - myTouch 3G, Magic Apps and Games

I have installed this widget.
Is'nt it possible to fix the cpu speed at 527mhz? if I do so in overclockwidget, the phone freezes up.
the only setting it works with is minimum: 383mhz maximum: 527mhz And like this it always stays at 383mhz... How come?
And how do I fix the cpu setting to be @ 527mhz?

If you read the instructions you need to root your device before this widget can work.
I have a rooted magic and it works like a charm for me.

SetCPU with the Tattoo ?

Anybody can confirm that SetCPU is working on our tattoos ?
I use it and it works fine at least for me it seems to be faster if I increase the frequency

Uploading 1.5.1, which is kind of minor update.

SetCPU and MIUI ROM

With any of the MIUI versions Setcpu does not work properly. The "main profile' works fine, but when I try to add other profile, I just can not move the 'min' and the 'priority' slider bar( 'priority' slider works sometimes after, say, 10 attempts). But the "min" slider just gets stuck at the min freq. ie 122Mhz, can not move it. It is true with any Miui with any kernel. Even if we change the colour theme of Stcpu, the 'main' profile gets changed but not the other profiles.
I have flashed uc kernel ver. 4 (xtreme) meant for miui and it is great... thanks napstar
bro im using miui latest version nd setcpu works nicely...
superuser permission is needed....

did you add some other profiles( other than the main) and try to adjust the 'min' frequency slider and 'priority' slider?
im facing problem to adjust 'min' and 'priority' while using profile other than main... but max , scaling and profile is running very well.....

I'm having this same problem... Did you ever find an answer?
no prob. here
install latest superuser & update binary script, then disable older version by using titanium backup..
regrant root permissions to setcpu..
SetCPU works fine on the latest MIUI, I also got the slider problem the first time, thought it was prob with SetCPU however later realised it is a problem with the alignment of the slider and where you touch, touch above the slider not on it and it will function smoothly

[Q] HP touchpad Screen becomes unresponsive

I have been facing this problem for quite some time now, quite so often the touchpad screen becomes unresponsive ! ! sometime when i try to unlock the device the device wont unlock . The screen comes on but will not respond to any touch events !
(I am using cynagenmod 9)
To resolve this i always have to force reboot my device ! which is something i dont like a lot !
I read a few posts about this, so i re flashed the latest nightly and the problem was not resolved, i did a clean wipe factory reset as well lost all my data ! but it did not resolve this issue !
any insights into what causes this problem
Thank you.

Do you have the problem in WebOS? If so, it's probably a hardware problem.
Also, for next time, you can back up Android with Nandroid and only apps/data with Titanium Backup or something similar. Then you won't lose all your data.

I just did a wipe system, and the issue has not been resolved. I am certain that i dont face this issue in webOs i used only webOs for 5 days constantly and i did not face this problem ! but i face this problem in CM9.
I currently flashed the cm-9-20120909-NIGHTLY downloaded straight from cynagenmod website !
i used the touchpad for a min locked the screen and came back to check after a min and the screen became unresponsive and i could not unlock it !

The md5sum check is to make sure that the file you downloaded is identical to the one posted on the CM10 website. Sometimes, downloads aren't perfect even if you got them from the right place. It makes sure that there are no errors in your ROM. It's probably fine, but it can't hurt to check.

I'm using OaT's builds, for which CPU is greyed out and for which you need to install the setCPU app. I had thought that base CM9 allowed you to do it directly from the settings menu. My bad. Get setCPU from the Google Play Store.

Well, if it decreased in frequency, I think that's a good sign. What's your IO scheduler and governor? Did you ever check on the md5sum?

i installed the 09/09 nightly from TWRP and forced it to do a MD5 check, it passed.
Current governor is interactive ! min cpu is 432MHz , max cpu is 1.188GHz.

Try changing governor to conservative. It forces CPU to stay at the minimum. It will be slow, but try it for awhile and see. Maybe you just need to lower your CPU max.

Agreed, except use of cores really doesn't affect performance currently. We need a better kernel desperately. Core restriction would be useful for battery reasons though

Root.bat keeps closing
I follow the procedure (ignoring step 1), and then get to the step where I have to click root.bat
The following message is on the display:
"Now send the package you want to apply
to the device with "adb sideload <filename>..."
I just double click on root.bat , and it opens and says it is doing adb sideload etc etc
It then says daemon started successfully before closing rapidly. (sometimes I am sure I can see "error ..." something, flash up just as it closes)
Would be really grateful for some help. Once closed, it won't open again, just keeps closing, and my phone is just stuck on the adb sideload screen.
Thank you for any help!

1728? that doesnt seem right, at all. stock us 2649, so elementalx wouldnt be 1728 by default. seems as something else changed it to 1728. but yea, change it to whatever you feel comfortable with.

Guess all I needed was a reboot and it's normal now. Btw I'm experiencing very slow charging speed after custom kernel. I don't have a turbo charger so I use normal 2A charger and before it used to charge from 20 to 90% in like an hour and now I charged it for 3 hours and it was at 67%. I tried powering off and then charging too still same. Fon is snappier than ever. Even in power save mode it's very snappy. And battery life is good. Though a little higher standby consumption but screening time is way better getting more than 5 hours compared to barely reaching 4 before. I'm pretty happy with everything so far except the slow charging speed. Is there any way to fix it?
