Alarm Clock - myTouch 3G, Magic Apps and Games

Hi,
how do I change the default alarm ringtone in android?
i searched all over and came up empty
Thx for the help

Go into the alarm clock app, open up the alarm you want to edit, and there's an option for Ringtone right there.

I know that.
but I want to chage the default ringtone so I wont have to change maually for echo alarm

Don't believe there's a way to change the default.

ok, there is no way to change from the application itself but...
you can set in the build.prop the value for it
ro.config.alarm_sound=<YOUR_ALARM_SOUND>.mp3
i haven't tested it yet but that should work w/o problems (as long as you point it to the right mp3, and remember unix is CasE sEnIitiVe system)
also, if you at it, here some extra settings for ringtones:
ro.config.ringtone=Magic_Moments.mp3
ro.config.notification_sound=Friendly.mp3
ro.config.alarm_sound=Reckoining_Song.mp3
ro.config.cal_notification=Friendly.mp3
ro.config.msg_notification=Friendly.mp3
what is "cal_notification"?

alarm sound on vibrate/silent?

in some ROM's there is an option under "more" in clock & alarms that allows you to enable the alarm sounding when on silent or vibrate. does anyone know of a CAB that you can install that will add this feature without downloading the whole ROM'?
I also want this
Has anyone found a way to do this? I really would like a cab that would add this tab to allow my alarm to come on on vibrate.

[Q] Alarm clock ringtones

Is it possible to add more ringtones to the stock alarm clock?
Original Moto X on AT&T running stock 4.4.4 firmware:
I've started using my phone as my alarm clock and I'd like a bigger selection of ringtones. I've placed a bunch of .ogg files in both the /Ringtones and the /Notifications folders. They can be selected when choosing the phone ringtone, but I still only have a half dozen stock sounds in the Alarm Clock selection.
Using a third party alarm clock, I can select all the ring tones I put on.
I know I can just use the third party app, but I'd rather stick with the stock app since it works well with daydream.

Yup, it's possible. Download ES explorer or an equivalent file manager.
Now , when you try and set the ring tone for your alarm clock, it will prompt you to choose which application you want to "Complete action with"
Using media storage will let you set the stock ringtones. Using your file manager, you can navigate to the song of your choice and set it .
If the prompt for "complete action with" does not show up, in the "all" section of your applications list , clear the defaults in the "media storage" application.

I am able to set it as ringtone or SMS tone, in the settings, but in the settings for notification tone the option simply isn't there. Even if I put the file in the notifications folder with file explorer it isn't given as an option

Try using 3rd party app. I personally use Ringtone Setter, which bypasses system's limitations.

Yea I have done that now. It's just strange that on the ringtone and SMS tone settings there is an option at the top of the list to use"local ring tone", but on notification tone that option is absent. The option does appear when you use a third party app to set the tone and then go back in to the notification tone settings, but it is greyed out, so it still says "use local ring tone" and shows the new tone as selected, but as it is greyed out you still can't modify it in the settings like you can with SMS tone and ringtone. Probably just a bug, I can't imagine any reason for into be like that by design.
I use Solid Explorer to copy notification tone mp3 to system/media/audio/notifications(must be rooted) rename ext to .ogg (not sure if this is necessary) change attributes to Group and Global (-rw-r--r--) reboot and your good to go!

How to change default settings of stock alarm app

Hallo, I like stock alarm app and usualy use it as some kind of reminder- so daily I set o lot of alarms. But in 90% of cases I prefer silent alarm (vibration). It's easy to change settings individualy for every alarm using setting sliders, but I can't find a way, how to change default settings for the app. Isn't there something like config file or registry like in windows?

Name of default phone ringtone, notification and alarm sounds

Hello,
what is the name of the stock or preselected phone ringtone, notification sound and alarm sounds for the Pixel 4 or 4 XL?
You can check this way:
Open your phone's Settings app.
Tap Sound and then scroll down.
Take note of Phone ringtone, Default notification sound and Default alarm sound names.
Thank you very much! I made a mess and would like to revert to the default settings mentioned above, without factory resetting.
EDIT: could you please confirm it's respectively The Big Adventure, Popcorn and Bright Morning?
