http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4358108&postcount=42

I used config from Touch 3G - worked good. Had a backflip and jump binded on volume keys.
Here it is:

your WWPSave.dat doesn't work on my Viva.

For Viva WM6.5... both Jump and BackFlip now works:

tomtom 6 !?

Hi, is there anyone out that has tomtom 6 running on his phone???
i looked at the tomtom homepage and i don't really can find a clue how to manage this...
i have an tomtom bt gps receiver and from my tytn a tomtom6 installation...
once i had managed it that i starts like it should but on map selection i cant scroll... the joystick up/down just changes volume...
There are two version of TomTom, one for the PDA-phone (e.g. with touchscreen) and the other is for Smart-phone (e.g. without touchscreen). Make sure you've purchased the correct version.
You should install a touchscreen emulation.
http://rapidshare.com/files/24157817/TomTom_6.020_for_Windows_Mobile_Smartphone.rar.html
This one is the file you need. ++

Kaiser Questions

Im very new to MS Mobile. Ive been using Symbian since the Sony Ericsson P800 and as recent as the M600i. I recently gladly switched over to MS Mobile and the learning curve is a little curvy.
Where are all the wonderful applications that I can install? How do I know if it works on the TyTN II? Obviously if the requirements specify WM 6.0 Pro, then its gonna work, but what about screen type? SVGA vs VGA?
- Will WM 6.0 (non-professional) or WM 5.0 s/w work on the Kaiser?
- What does the Sym button do? Meaning Fn + Sym on keyboard do?
- Is there no way to copy paste using the keyboard? I am able to highlight text using the shift and directional arrow keys, no way to copy paste? Like CTRL+C/V/X ?
- A better browser? IE doesnt allow tabs like firefox which is really inconvenient. I had Opera on my Symbian OS phones and it worked great!
- When I make an appointment or meeting in Calendar, I want an alarm to go off sometimes an hour before the appointment, sometimes 2 hours, some times 3. How do I set the alarm time within calendar?
The "wonderful applications" are all over the place. Try Handango first. Or look on here and modaco for free apps.
1) WM6 Pro and WM5 will work (Professional means for touchscreen pda). WM (classic etc) Smartphone editions wont work
2) Sym - opens the onscreen symbol keyboard so you can type weird aqnd wonderful characters
3) Never tried it
4) Download Opera for WM 8.65 then
5) Just set the reminder time when you create the new appointment.
Where are all the wonderful applications that I can install?
--> e.g. pocketgear.com, handago.com and others
How do I know if it works on the TyTN II?
--> tytn2 has wm6 os, so 99.9% of everything for wm5 and wm6 will work (also some apps for wm02, wm03)
Obviously if the requirements specify WM 6.0 Pro, then its gonna work, but what about screen type? SVGA vs VGA?
--> 99.9% apps/games are for qvga and tytn2 has qvga, so no problem
Will WM 6.0 (non-professional) or WM 5.0 s/w work on the Kaiser?
--> there is no wm5 for tytn2 now, not sure why it has to be when tytn2 is running the newest os now
What does the Sym button do? Meaning Fn + Sym on keyboard do?
--> input for special charactes (ěščř...)
Is there no way to copy paste using the keyboard? I am able to highlight text using the shift and directional arrow keys, no way to copy paste? Like CTRL+C/V/X ?
--> it is possible to use copy/paste, ctrl+c/v/x
A better browser? IE doesnt allow tabs like firefox which is really inconvenient. I had Opera on my Symbian OS phones and it worked great!
--> opera, and some others also for tytn2
When I make an appointment or meeting in Calendar, I want an alarm to go off sometimes an hour before the appointment, sometimes 2 hours, some times 3. How do I set the alarm time within calendar?[/QUOTE]
--> also possible
--> --> looks like now you are ready to enjoy wm
ehm, unwired4 seems to be quicker

There is no CTRL-Button on the Keyboard - This was the question ...
But here is the answer, searching for "CTRL" would have found:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332072&highlight=ctrl
ehm, there is no CTRL but CTL button which has the same function as CTRL (default keyboard - see screenshot). ctrl+cvx is possible

On the physical keyboard not the touch screen keyboard.
patr!k,unwired4,
Let me get this straight, I can download any software for the TyTNII as long as it is wm6 pro or wm5 pro. So it must be pro version of 5 or 6 to be compatible.
WM6 Pro and WM5 will work (Professional means for touchscreen pda). WM (classic etc) Smartphone editions wont work
Click to collapse
So wm6 pro will work, ok great. Im confused about the latter part, will wm5 or wm pro work on TyTN II?
look, almost 99.9% of software will works- do not worry about it. developers do not make differences between wm6 pro or classic, it is just wm6. the same it is with wm5, wm02 and wm03
WM 6 Pro = Windows Mobile 6 device with a touch screen.
WM 6 Standard = a device without a touch screen (like the Moto Q).
In WM 5 parlance, it's "WM 5" and "WM 5 Smartphone edition."
So you'll want apps that are for WM5/6 that support touch screens when you boil it all down. Don't get ones that list compatabilitiy with the Q...
Hi to all Kaiser, Tilt and Tytn-II user.
I just replaced my Hermes with Tytn-II. My question is how can I separate the SMS/MMS account like my previous Hermes?
Any help, guides, instruction are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

worms world party on diamond

i found a copy of worms world party for pda.
I installed it on the diamond and it seemed to work perfectly.
but i could not assign hardware buttons tot the game. so i can wlak en aim, but i cannot fire my weapons.
does anyone know how to solve this?
I think he HTC Diamond has only one assignable hardware button, as such this might not be solvable.
I would love to be proved wrong, as I absolutely love this game on the WM devices.
Anyone?!
Snails 3.0 works ok
But worms is sooooo much better dont you think...
Got to be a contender for an all time classic!
What Jamdat need to do is make a new version that works over Bluetooth and WiFi in AdHoc mode. With on screen buttons and aiming, and more levels.
Try this and report if succeeded
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318803&highlight=play+worms
Just copy this to your worms directory and it works great on the diamond.
center button is fire, volume up and down are for jumping and backflipping
Someone give this a try. i'm still waiting for the MDA Compact IV to come out on T-Mobile. If not then i'll do it once i got my new phone.
Worms in Tilt
i downloaded the the game from http://www.bestshareware.net/worms-world-party.htm but i cant make it to work. It says that it has already expired.
Does anyone have a copy that will work? thanks in advance.
this works for me
http://rapidshare.com/files/138984074/Worms_Worldparty.PPC.rar
and use the save from sprint then it works like a charm
I can confirm this save works with my copy of WWP which I've had from days of old with my Ipaq 3870!
Just copy into the \Program files\Jamdat\Worms directory where you installed the game.
how do we aim?

You have to use your up and down buttons (left/right in portrait). These buttons are hard to use because they are located between your d-pad and the other outer 4 hard buttons.
Which brings me to the next question...
Is it possible to map you own buttons, I tried DredSensor http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/board/4262/dredsensor-for-htc-touch-diamond.html but that wont help much. It does work witch Kevtris though (another Tetris clone), but I dont know how to fix it, any suggestions, matbe a work around???
It doesn't work for me, I have a SE Xperia x1i and the game runs, but same problem, I can walk around, aim, jump, backflip which is nice, but I can't shoot anything. I then tried the WWPsave thing, but no luck, can anyone help me with this. Email me @ [email protected] Thanx

[Good News] Multitouch on Diamond!!!

Here is how it works:
* not the display but the surface under the display of HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro and other compatible phones from HTC - is actually a capacitive touch-area with multi-touch
* by now this surface is used mainly for "wheel" gestures for example to zoom-in/out (see our article about zooming with wheel in HTC Touch Diamond) or to fast-forward in player etc., and the multi-touch-ness of this surface is not used, but since it works (as seen above) HTC could implement "finger pinching gesture" and "finger spreading gesture" - for zooming for example. One could also implement "2 finger moving" for panning gesture for example too. One is for sure: it is supported in hardware and software can read it
* HTC previously already was revealing that the area under display is a capacitive touch-area, but nothing was mentioned about multi-touch - not all capacitive touch-areas are multi-touch at the same time!
* note: latest subnotebooks (netbooks) Eee PC from Asus have multi-touch touch-pad and no display with multi-touch but they use several multi-touch gestures (which work!) - what proves that HTC could do similar thing with multi-touch support in HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro
* to try it yourself download ZIP file here and use file NavDbgTool.exe from it
* you can see this multi-touch in action on a video here
Commentary: we think that it would be huge mistake of Microsoft not to include support for multi-touch in Windows Mobile 7. Now that Apple iPhone and iPhone 3G support multi-touch and many applications that take advantage of it have been released, it is obvious that no modern smartphone platform can get away without multi-touch. The fact that existing phones support multi-touch, albeit not in the display, shows that it is feasible in Windows Mobile too.
We have another thing to play beside the light sensor and the tilt sensor..

Just saw this on another forum....
Indeed, its great news, cant wait till we can enjoy this function along with Android....
Nice, but please use the search! We all know this since a few weeks, because we all talked about it in a few threads here on xda-devs.
Amazing
That is amazing. I wonder why the hell would HTC _not_ present this as another innovation. I've seen times and times again companies brag about "virtual" features that were never actually there (the "GPS" without GPS hardware of the first iPhone comes to mind), but rarely does one see a company implement such a great feature (such as multitouch) and don't even talk about it.
So is there an API for this?
this is great news
Multi touch is possible on the diamond
Check out this youtube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f3Owgcos_KY
Multi touch but not where you'd expect it to work.
Diamond Multi Touch
Found this on Engadget:
http://www.engadget.com/2008/08/20/htcs-touch-diamond-pro-are-multi-touch-gods-just-not-how-you/
COOL!
Come on chefs... cook us up a multi touch ROM
Lovely,we now have 3 threads on this, all still visible on the main page. Can't we just use the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418936
would work wonderfully with WM7, which also has multi-touch features, and also supports phones as low as the HTC touch dual, which has a 400MHz with 128RAM, while the HTC Diamond a 528MHz with 192RAM.
Great news!
dreaming right now of that WM7 cooked HTC Diamond TF3D ROM
Great find, thanks!
Merged everything!
does this work on the front screen of the diamond
?
Interesting. So the whole area with the hardware buttons is touch sensitive! That could be useful.
This could be really useful, but it isn't "real" multi touch.
Using the test tool, you'll notice that it's 3 separate touch areas - the left side, the right side, and the scroll wheel.
For instance, you can't touch twice on the left hand side of the screen.
I can see some pretty useful features where you can use the main touch screen, and the touch areas at the bottom independantly at the same time though.

Well. The GPS wihtout GPS has been working on any GSM phone for quite a while. Has nothing at all to do with the Fruit Phone my friend. It uses triangulation of GPS transceivers to give you a rough localization. So there. Fruit did not invent that. It's been built into Google maps since a few versions back.
now everything we need is an app to configure gestures, so that we can use this new feature of our jewel in everyday use. Any news about that?
I know that Diamond has "multi-touch" pad since a long time as I implemented this feature in my TouchXperience UI, but I didn't know there would be so much enthusiasm about it!
In fact, it is not really multi-touch, the whole control pad is divided in different sensitive zones (left, right, middle, navigation scroll and center pad), each zone is controlled individually and you can get finger position simultaneously on left/right part of the control pad and on the navigation scroll.
For those who didn't see it yet, I realized some videos demonstrating the use of Diamond sensitive pad in TouchXperience: www.touchxperience.com
But I didn't use "multi-touch" because I thought the interest of using two fingers on a so small surface is very limited and not so convenient... But maybe you could convince me of the contrary with some useful applications of multi-touch and I could work on it.
Engadget claims that the front screen is also multi-touch capable:
Even more interesting is the way that the handsets' entire front, capacitive surface (not just the 2.8-inch, 640 x 480 pixel display) can be used for multi-finger input.

i hope that we will convice you schaps to create a small application for multitouch in order to map some HW buttons which are missing on the Diamond (e.g - up-down can be associated with the "old" Button 2 or 3, etc...)
For me this is the real disadvantage of the Diamond - doesn't have HW keys
I really need some HW keys because now i have applications and games which i cannot use them without HW keys
I wonder if we could find source code for the debugging tools. Use of the multitouch capacitive area would be great for so many applications.

Touch Pro Shake Control?!

Hey guys, I was wondering how to set up shake control on the Touch Pro (AT&T Fuze).
I know they have one for the Diamond; does that work on the Touch Pro too?!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412453
That's the link for the diamond if anyone is interested.
I also looked on the AT&T website & no help! HTC also doesn't support 3rd party programs. Quite annoying considering "shake control" is listed as a feature on the box... *sigh*
Yes it works on O2 Diamond Pro /HTC Touch Pro too.
