Theme Concept- [UNNAMED] Feedback requested! UPDATE 1

Hello. I'm currently designing another theme. Still no name for it yet.
I wanted to post some screenshots for some feedback and opinions.
I'm liking the theme so far, but I'm not really sure if I will release it.
I guess I'll have to see what people think first.
Update: I posted some minor changes to the launcher bar and notification highlights(two of the most discussed issues). I'm not really to fond of the changes, but I do believe that they are better than the originals.
I also tried a quick dark notification bar, but don't really care for it...
(One reason I don't want to change the notification highlight color to a darker one or a black one is all the editing that goes into fixing the text color for everything. I still haven't figured out to fix some of those issues, making the text white)

I, however, have released two themes already, so... if if you follow my track record, you could easily be wrong.

has a metallic iphone feel to it. if u want to proceed, get rid of that launcher tray- its ugly. alot of people like transparency for the launcher or some nice simple rectangle that matches ur statusbar (grey) and goes all the way across. also, make the the notification EVENT tabs solid black or some sort of grey gloss that resemble the gloss of the black header. if you need ideas or help with finding things to improve the look let me know. good job though on the concept.

Actually, really good just the way it is.. i'd flash it right away, i like the drawer.
Notifications need to have a brighter colour imo though..

Ugly (and WAY too big) app drawer. Widgets are GORGEOUS though.

Overall, it looks really slick, and if you release it for SuperD I'll try it out.
I would suggest changing the backgrounds on the notification items. That, and maybe make the launcher bar like a black version of Cyanogen's.

I don't like the notification bar at the top. It doesn't flow with the app drawer,
But I DO LOVE the widget concept, and the app drawer concept. Nicely done.

the status bar icons and the colors look really good and i look forward to any future development

I also like the gray colors, since most themes stick to black or white. Change is nice. The widgets are great. I agree that the notification tray colors don't work. Maybe make em more like the widgets to give it a more consistent feel. The minty highlight color should be more defined too, since as is it blends in with the grays. I would make the app-tray shadow gradients vertically symmetrical. Also, since most themers go with the glossy notification bar by having the highlight/shadow median right in the middle, I wonder if it would work thinning them out to look more like in the notification tray.
No idea on a good name yet... sorry.
I like it so far. I really liked the last theme you put out. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

i love everything except the white and blue notifications...
they dont match the theme imo...
maybe a darker status bar? grey really doesnt flow with the rest of the dark launcher and icons
the power control widget should have all icons showing i think
and the launcher tray it kinda fat but if u slimmed it out and widened it it would be nice

Hmm... So it looks like I'll mainly be changing the launcher bar to match the rest of the theme a little better (matching the notification bar i guess) and changing the notification area stuff (the highlights).

this theme alright. The widget concept is just freaking amazing. The rest does need some work since the colors are very dull and not very attractive. Try to shine it up a little more maybe match your theme up with the widgets.

I like it. The widgets are sweet. I would like to use them, maybe witha coloured frame for my theme
I like the tray launcher much. The only thing I don't like much are the icons in the status bar. I would make them in coloured or maybe white. And I would try with different colour for notifications background
But nice. Keep working on it.
Did you make the widgets work or they are just mockup?

and now, that I keep watching the theme, I think: why don't you make the rest of the theme fits with the concept. Maybe it means flat black/dark grey statusbar, tray launcher with same style of widgets. Then, the rest of images for the theme in diffeent kinds of grey.And maybe (this would be a little risky), I would use this colour #bfff26 for pressing effect images. This would be really great for me.

I wanted to have REALLY minimalistic icons to match the GTX-style and I though, why not just make the icons to be text on a background?
So, after some hours of typing and exporting layers, I finally finished my first icon pack!

At the moment, there are 472 finished icons (more than I expected! lol), I just went through quite a few pages in Omarket to get as many programs as possible in the icon set.
I made this set, because I wanted the icons background colour to match the colour of the clock/weather background. (See attachment)
The set includes icons for all stock programs, folder icons and hundreds of other program icons!
The text is perfectly aligned, I double-checked every icon
I hope I got no typo in this...
To start the download, click the button below.
All icons are 128x128 pixels in size.
If you miss some icons in this set, please provide me a list with the missing ones, I'll finish these as fast as possible for you!
I will make these icons with darker or lighter backrounds too, if requested!
Also, please report any missing stock program icons!

I appreciate the effort and sharing. It is a bit too minimalistic and obviously centered on the English language.
I came to this thread hoping to find a set of icons that match in style and format to what CHT & CHT editor provided for things like Toggle Switch, Notification Icon and Miscelaneous.

These icons are not in the list of the icon changer, do I have to use another program like jwmd icon changer or did I something wrong ?

Hey Müllabfuhr!
Solitaire should already be in the package, maybe you just didn't see it.
In JWMD, there are normal icons and folder icons, which you can change.
If you just tap briefly on a folder icon, you can see the shortcuts that are IN that specific folder and then you can change them.
Typical folder names are GPS, Office Mobile, Tools, Settings, Connections, ...
If you just look in my icon package, you can see that there is a folder called "Folder Icons", there you can see how the folders are called in JWMD. Just look out for these in JWMD and tap them shortly, to access the folder.
If you still encounter problems, add me on ICQ, Skype or send me a PM (see my profile here).
I'll attach your missing icons in a few minutes!

Here are the first clocks.......there are 20 in total, one font style, five colors, with tab, and with tab and weather background. Enjoy.......​
The clocks in the top line and third line of the image are the clocks with the tab and background (for weather) in five variations each then the second and last line is are just the tab in five variations each. Within "Beautiful Widgets" you can turn of the background completely so the digits (numerals) are bare against your wallpaper and adjust the transparency if you choose to keep the background for the clocks. Very customizable, thanks to the developer of "Beautiful Widgets" I just wanted to add more choices like keeping the tab but letting go of the weather background.......etc​
For installation:
1) Place folder on sd card: sdcard\data\beautifulwidgets\skins\
2) Hold down on Home Screen and select "Widgets", then "Beautiful Home".
5) Then press your App Launcher Icon and choose "Beautiful Widgets"
3) Select "Clock Skins" and then chose the skin within the "Installed Skins" tab.
4) Click "Apply" then "Save & Apply" (both)
note: If the tab and or weather background is not lining up try adjusting the "rows" on your Home Screen to 4 or 8, works for me............

Not sure that FULL wallpaper can be shared on XDA...
But cool clock skins

I will share the cropped version like you see in the screen shot, you will have to turn off "scrolling wallpaper" to use it. Download the zip not the image......

I really like the new clock and docks. Will you be making them in the same colors as the first ones? One request if you have time, can you make the dock icons in blue also? Would love the blue icons with the blue clock and white backgrounds. Great work!

Glad you like the new WIP and yes I will be making the five colors with tab and with tab and weather background so there will be twenty zips again, possibly red. I will do the dock text icons from the Birdman thread in green and blue and heck lets just do red as well. Will have the new clocks up tomorrow here is a sample on the red edition with the black tab and weather background with red digits. I am also making a set of docks to go with the variations. There will be two font styles (Birdman and the one in the screen shot below) 5 colors for digits (red, green, black, blue, and silver) and three tab colors (black, silver, and white) and two versions of each of those (with tab only and with tab and weather background together) so there will be a lot to choose from but if you do not like the fonts or the design you wouldn't care about all the variations.........just trying to give you guys choices.

Change Lockscreen Background

The file /framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/lockscreen_bg.png is now the lockscreen background. The default should just be transparent black, however it is possible to change it using methods outlined here and here.

* Download your desired theme (white/black, lock/no-lock)
* Download the XMLs.zip and extract it to your SD card. The folder "CMTheme" should now be created and contain 4 xml files.
* Flash the theme zip (not the XMLs.zip) as you would a rom through clockwork mod
*Zips are not signed - ensure signature check is disabled​
Choose your desired variant (flat or gradient)
Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > User interface > Tweaks extras > Select a theme.
Just remember you can only swap between gradient and flat, to change colour you need to flash the update.zip.

This is the graphite lock-screen. The only issue with this is the bars get drawn when there is an incoming call. As per this post To fix this you will need to flash this file in recovery. Took a lot of playing around with this to get it working but I think it's worth it.

These have only been tested on OpenDesire 4, and DeFrost - I can't guarantee anything,and my technical knowledge is limited - I just make pictures .

I was actually kind of trying this.
I have flat black down, but the Gradients are of different size and I can't fix them yet, as I have no idea what I am doing. Also, we don't have services.jar for DJ05 figured out yet so we can't get different status bar clock colors.
So basically I can have a kind-of-working Flat Black version in a day or two ready but I can't get the others to work yet.
The icons will work for sure.
If anyone better starts working on this, by all means take it for your own instead of me.

The requests are fine, it indicates interest in the device. It is when that interest ceases that we need to start worrying...

I'd be really interested in this one, it's by far one of the cleanest looking themes out there.

Made on top of Incognito, Accurate Battery Mod 2, Metro Station icons for quick panel.
Still working on this. The screenshots for flat black look like they have different colors, so I'll make both.
Like I said, can't do the white ones because of services.jar and can't do gradients because I don't know how to make the images stretch right.

28.08 - UPDATE - NeonGT and NeonBT v1.0
This is close to a final release at it's going to get right now. I've updated quite a few things - notification pulldown is more transparent, redesigned the pulldowns and popups, tweaked the new battery some more to make the edges smoother, plus many other small revisions. Oh ya, and I've converted it to blue too. Enjoy.
This release uses the new battery icon. If there's enough demand I'll upload versions with the old battery...

INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
Unzip the .mtz file from the zip and place it in your /sdcard/MIUI/theme folder, then apply using theme manager. MIUI Theme Manager can sometimes be quite fussy, so if anything doesn't look right try applying the theme again.
Regarding the lockscreen music controls, if they don't appear at first, simply double tap the area below the clock and date and they will show up. Not sure why, MIUI can be strange sometimes.
TO USE THE NEW CLOCKS
Updated 17.07: You have two choices here. 1: Install the themes as normal and the default analog clock will be themed to match the new MIUI clock style (minus the second hand). 2: Copy the attached zip file to your memory card, boot your phone into recovery mode and choose "Install zip from sdcard" > "Choose zip from sdcard". Select the file and the three clocks will be installed (to /system/media/gadget/clock). Reboot. Now when you go to add a new widget to your screen, choose the analog 2x2 clock and click the small button on the top right corner to choose a different layout. Note that you can only have one instance of the analog clock at a time, so remove your old one before adding a new colour.

Nice theme..! already liked your work on the samsung roms..
i am using adw launcher on miui.. when i hold down the background to let the option menu popup.. the letters are black.. this makes it harder to read them.. can you take a look at this..

you should change the dock to something else...this one is really ugly...I've found one yesterday which is amazing just the color need to be set to grey maybe...

I'm actually thinking of going for black text on green buttons... these black text issues are unfortunately very hard to predict and control since it's up to each app which font colours it uses. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, changing the dock is high on my list of priorities. Lots still to do. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look at that Faenza dock.

I am trying to create a work-around for this, so please let me know if you run into this issue and the name of the app. I'll have to fix it on a per-app basis so your input will be most helpful.
