Wait; so the official HTC TouchVIVA has 201mhz processor, but nTC knockoff is 624mhz? - Touch Viva, MDA Basic General

I have the knockoff, and it's easily the best phone I've ever had... but I got kinda edgy when I saw an official one, 'cause I'm like "Oh wow, that's gotta be even better!"
Specsheets show 201mhz omap crap ???

What you have is probably a Vogue (HTC Touch CDMA or Verizon xv6900 or Sprint Touch) rip off not an Opal (HTC Touch Viva).

E-Ten is like an HTC wannabe...

They make windows mobile phones alot but it seems like HTC could have been just as good as HTC but they are falling down hard.
Opinions?
do you mean this??? :
They make windows mobile phones alot but it seems like ETEN could have been just as good as HTC but they are falling down hard.
yeah even i think like that
never owned any eten phones but they are very good on paper
maybe people prefer HTC for their customization(touch flo etc) and overall quality of the product
Well E-ten always miss the mark when it comes to style and design.
no more eten!
Acer bought them!
i got Acer F900, a htc hd clone!, but with usa 3g!

The HD2 isn't out for T-Mobile yet, your two best options (IMO) are:
1. Nexus One (latest from Google with Android OS, Snapdragon processor) - http://www.google.com/phone
2. Touch Pro2 (awesome QWERTY, good productivity handset overall)

I say go for HD same hardware as topaz and thodium but bigger screen and no keyboard.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers
Problem with going for HD or Topaz is that you cannot have it subsidized by T-Mobile. The TP2 and N1 and other hand can.
I'd recommend the N1 if you can agree to a new contract, as then it will be $180 instead of $530.
Moved to off-topic.

one problem with that is that not many phones have the same quality touchscreen as the iphone. I was a beast at typing on the iphone touchscreen, all other phones with touchscreen aren't quite as fluid
but now i have the touch pro 2 and i schmob with the keyboard
the only thing is i would get touch pro to but it run windows and as we all know windows suxxxx
Well...
Let´s not enter to endless discussion: WM is better than... or worst than...
On my experience it is useful enough to make it my business daily device (HTC and the rest of the apps hide well that you are in a WM device )
I´m quite happy with WM

HD7 vs My Touch 4g

I have an HD2 and an HD7 am i better of using my HD2 as my android phone or should i get the My touch 4g by HTC for t-mobile? The problem is that the HD7 and the HD2 are so different that i think the my touch 4g will be a down grade from the HD2. What do you think? After reading about tips for the HD7 i am quickly becoming a big fan. Super fast and looks great. I just don't like that it doesn't work with outlook without going thru live. So HD2 or HD7 or My Touch 4G?
I have all 3 phones to and my HD2 never gets used anymore. The MT4G is the best android phone available IMO. Its my goto phone. The power and speed of it is great. I also get 4G speed in KC and I avg 7-10mbs.
After a couple days with the HD7 it is quickly becoming my fav phone. Right now its more for entertainment though with Netflix and Zune. The no multitasking is a lil frustrating but besides that I really enjoy it.
My poor HD2 is collecting dust. I would sell it, but I love it to much. So it remains on my Active (semi retired) list with my nexus one.
It depends on you for sure ... If you like wp7, then HD7 is the right phone for you. If you prefer android, then you must get the mytouch 4g.
I like HD2 too, In fact i do miss my HD2 sometimes. but i believe mytouch 4g is a better choice for android.

[q] htc hd7s

Currently I have a Samsung GSII but I want to get back to WP7, I was going to wait for the WP7 version of the GSII but I did like my HD7.
I was thinking about trying to pick up an HD7S on ebay and use it in the UK (Vodafone UK) however I was wondering if you guys could run me through a few pit falls.
Will it actually work on the Vodafone network?
Can I unlock the phone if needs be?
Is it possible for me just to put a total generic ROM on the phone so there is no AT&T branding, will I run into problems?
I know these may sounds like daft questions but I have never purchased a phone from the states and I'm not sure about the network bands, etc.
Many thanks for the help guys, hope to be back in the fold soon
Since you are coming from the Samsung GSII you might want to wait and pick up the Samsung Focus S that coming soon. The Focus S is a follow-up to the original Samsung Focus, featuring a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus panel , 1.4GHz processor and is just one-third of an inch thick. You get a 1.3MP front-facing camera and 8MP rear-facing.
Basicly a SGSII with WP7.5.
I myself was hoping to get this or the HTC Titan (It has a 4.7 inch S-LCD screen making it the largest available on any Windows Phone. The HTC Titan also has a 1.5GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 16GB internal memory, and 8MP rear and 1.3MP FFC.) but they are both going to AT&T and I'm on T-Mobile.
I was thinking about waiting for that but I'm not sure if it will be released in the UK (I'm sure it will) plus I'm not sure about pricing, I know I could sell my SGII now, get an HD7 (S or non S model) and have a bit of cash in my pocket).
I might just sell the SGII now and use an old... HTC Desire (or SE K850) for the next few months...
Dont get the S... you will be stuck on EDGE as AT&T use a different frequency (1900mhz?) to UK carriers for 3G/HSPA (2100mhz).
EDGE is painful.
Well I sold my SG2 and have been using an old htc desire and I'm liking the smaller screen so i have gone for an omnia 7 (16gb), I like the screen size being between the desire and hd7. With the cash left over I may put it towards a Sony tablet s
I would suggest you wait for the new phones coming out instead of going for the already released WP7 devices, reason being atleast they will be a bit future proof.
I had an HD7 and then went for a SGS2, but because HD7 has no front facing camera I will miss out on the kinet features on mango, so I am waiting for either Nokia WP7 ( as I still feel nokia has the best hardware) or get one of the New HTC devices with WP7.
I have already the RTM MANGO and boy it rocks, currently can't make up my mind between the HD7 and SGS2

HTC Raider (HTC vivid)

Hi,
I had a iphone 3gs for a few years now and i decided to buy myself a HTC Raider (HtC vivid) This phone is able on the new network LTE. Thats one of the reasons i choiced this phone.
so i went from appel to Android.
I have not see many thing about my HTC because its new and i was wondering if any1 may know if i did the right choice or not.
On my part compare i feel that the battery goes down realy fast on heavy use but i do have a big screen so that may kinda explain it.
Also as a new android user the version 2.3 is on my HTC.
I like to tweak and customize my phones and i founded that my htc comes with a lot of stuff that i will never use...
So i was wondering what do you guys sugger me to do to be able to use this phone at is best.
thank you
