i've tried your rom.EXCELLENT !! Fast..But the problem is the bluetooth,i can receive any wireless transfer. the other problem is when i press the contact it hangs.so i need to reset.If u config it again.I'm sure this rom is excellent. iTwo thumbs up for u bro.!!!

How can I remove the original dialer?
Can you please guide me in changing the Dialer...? What files can I remove from the original ROM? I wanna add the same dialer to my re-cooked rom, but I am unable to find enough space (over 1MB). So if I can remove the original dialer, I can find some space in the ROM.

I will be opening My Kitchen class this week may be today, The dailer will be in 2 - 3 weeks sorry you'll have to wait,
Lesson 2 will be changing the default wmp skin and then the dailer. The dailer has a lot of reg entries so were not jumping in at the deepend!. Down load my kitchen and install it build the test rom read carefully and you may fine the answer yourself.

I'll try the kitchen.I've cooked the dialer successfully once (without removing the default one), but I had to spend all the space left in my ROM just for that. I simply installed it, tracked down the reg changes with SKTracker and cooked my ROM with those reg entries and the files extracted from the CAB. It worked. But I felt it's not worthy to have the dialer in expense of all the others I have cooked in now. So now I have cooked WMP skin, Calculator skin,ShutXP skin and default theme only in my rom with my favourite apps (wktask, fdc task mgr, quick menu, Hbuttons, BaseHue Express, WOW HD, WM5torage, psShutXP, Soft keys manager, WM5 new-menu, XCPU Scaler, ALT-TAB, PHM tray launch, Screen rotation fix, CamRecSvc, mort script, custom icon library dll file, SIP toggle, VJspeed dial, clear temp & flash sms. Now wondering how to cook the dialer in...!!!

Ok run my kitchen, dump rom select (1) again from second menu select Strip ROM dump same with strip tool compair copy and past dialer images from xdump to kitchen dump you will now see them in kitchen dump

Hey guys, I just installed manilla 2d and I realized it doesnt use vito technology's funcontact and sms-chat programs by default. I would love to keep manilla 2d if i can have it use funcontact and sms-chat by default. I got frustrated it was using the default contact program and text messaging program, and so i tried to remove the manilla 2d program but it didnt work (i tried 3x).
So if there is a way to get it to use sms-chat and funcontact by default ill keep manilla 2d otherwise should i just do a hard reset and remove all the bloatware?
i think theres no chance of replacing the default sms in m2d as of now, maybe in the future i guess...

i use spb full keyboard in my HD and i had problem with an issue of device(in any rom) that didn't takes any registry setting for other keyboard set as default..in this circumstance windows sets as default the ""keyboard"" overpassing all other keyboards installed in device...
so i use this version

of sipchange and i put ""indial delay"" in 30"...
so after each softreset sipchange stays open little more time than windows needs to set oem keyboard as default and assign my keyboard(any kbrd i like) as default for good
i don't know if is usefull for anybody but for people who like an other kbrd as default and they don't like to set it allways manually....this is a solution.

I'd say it would be worthwhile sending this solution to HTC, it's their bug after all...
Why can't _they_ fix their own bugs?
I have setup the right button to launch my contacts has worked fine until i recently updated to the latest rom by qsqa which has Tf3d2 and win mobile 6.5. When i hit the contact button it launched the stock contacts.
im having similar problems - also icontact doesnt seem to stay in sync with the standard contacts now im on wm6.5 - which i "think" it did before
What are you using to set the link to the softkey button? I usually just do a registry edit which always works with no problems. Using a Registry Editor, goto:
HKLM, Software, HTC, Manila.
Change "HomeLSKPath"/"HomeRSKPath" to wherever your file is for the icontacts. Prob safest bet to link it to the /Windows file path. You can also link to different Manila tabs. For ex, I have my RSk linked to "Manila://internet/page" to bring up the web tab quickly.
Change "HomeLSKText"/"HomeRSKText" to whatever you want displayed on your softkeys.
Do a soft reset and enjoy
it works fine on mine but had to use diamond tweak to change it ... but sometimes it changes itself back to the normal contact from windows mobile ...

another program you can use is KEYSWOP I use it and it works great!! Google it
Ok...i've been having some problems with this for a long time now, and now im' finally started looking into how i can change it. but does anyone know how to make the opera mobile browsers the system wide default no matter what programs are used? it seems like some programs use opera, while others (palringo) default to PIE. the funny thing is, even palringo doesn't always default to PIE its just a hit or miss.

1) suggests changing Default Browser key:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Shell/Rai/: DEFBROWSER/1 to operal.exe from iexplore.exe (then soft reset)
doesn't work
2) opera:config --->install--->first time launch, save (exit then soft rest)
doesn't work
3) in the opera settings menu, there's an option to make it default browser (exit then soft rest)
doesn't work
does anyone know of a sure fire way to make it so that system wide whenever you open a url it always opens in opera? only other thing i found was xperia and a touch pro tweak cabs which obviously wont work on the kaiser.

Search this forum for a .cab called WM6 OperaDefault. I use it on my s620 running WM6.5 it should work for you. Any URL in a email opens in opera mini.
