Video playback and seek bar - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having some issues with video play back and I'm trying to determine what is causing my issue.
Issue being, if I get a phone call during the video it pauses the video and goes to the phone call. When I go back to the video it just displays a blank screen.
Eventually I have to restart the video, so I try to use the seek bar to get into the movie. If I go past 11 minutes the video just restarts back to the beginning. The seek bar continues to go on, but the video just keeps looping from the beginning of the video.
Currently using
CyanogenMod 4.0.3.1
HTC Dream
Rogers
Tried "video player" from market
Tried "PlaysVideo" from the market
Tried "Meridian" from the market.
They all have the same issue.

i have had an issue similar to this on 404. jus wait it out and it should be fine.

Coreplayer and vTap

So I installed Coreplayer last night due to TCMP not working anymore with WM6.1 (I'm assuming so since none of the versions I downloaded work). It plays everything as expected, except YouTube...which was the main reason I got the player for...When I use the built in YouTube interface in the player, it loads the home page, and allows me to search for video. The problem arises when I click to play the video. It keeps giving the loading icon and keeps loading forever, and the video never actually loaded or start to play.
So then I went and get vTap, since it worked before for me in my previous Kaiser. This is even worst, since it wouldn't even load the home screen. I click the search box and it wouldn't even let me type in anything. This morning it works for a little bit when I try it after waking up. I was able to get to the home screen, search, and play the video. Then it stops buffering after like 4 seconds. After that none of the videos would load.
I'm using my home WIFI, and the connection works fine in my Opera and browsing, so I'm stumped as to what's wrong with these two players. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling them but still get the same results.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Pandora & Cyanogen 5.0.8-test5

I've been having issues with the most recent builds of both Cyanogen and Pandora...
Whenever I load up Pandora for the first time after boot, about 5-15 seconds into the song it skips to another song and repeats the process until I have no more skips available. After that it just pauses the song because it can't skip them,...
So far I can't find any consistency when this happens so i really doubt its a problem with my hardware... Oh and I think this only started happening after the latest release of Pandora (updated like Tuesday i think)
Anyone else having this issue?
similarly, when I try to change the station im forced back to the 'now playing' screen over and over before I can choose a new station! Also running cy .8, so who knows where the problem lies...
I've also had the player just randomly start up and play some random station (which causes me to think its CM now :|)
I have an issue like that. Pandora will play for a while and then just pause, I can immediately hit play and it will start playing and then pause a minute or so later.
Very frustrating
i'm using 5.0.8 and I have no issues with Pandora. I noticed the topic line says "Test-5", try upgrading to the official 5.0.8 final. That might fix your issue. Do a Wipe also to eliminate any other possibilities.
Same issue here. Although, the problem with you going back to now playing screen from the stations screen is related to Pandora itself I think, I have same problem on evo 4g. I'm running cm 0.9b2 on my nexus by the way.

well, I figured out how to fix the station/now playing problem temporarily. instead of going back to the station list by pressing the 'stations list button' and flopping back and forth insanely, press the actual 'back' button on your device to get to the stations. this seems to stop the problem. anyway, it seems fixed in the stable cyanogen release.
i have the now playing screen switch problem also... pandora used to run fine on my phone, now it skips all the time, hiccups frequently and sometimes just stops playing... im not sure what happened in the update but something isnt right,

[Q]Need help with odd YouTube issue on XT1064

I purchased a XT1064 for my wife. She has been experiencing the following issue
At random when trying to play videos via the youtube app the video plays for maybe half a sec and then stops. You see the play icon and you can press it all you want but the videos only play for half a sec
I cleared all the data and tested then uninstalled updates and data and tested and then uninstalled the app and same thing.
Only thing that corrects issue is rebooting the device
Then after maybe a day or 2 the issue returns
Any clues? Couldn't find any similar threads on this

[Q] YouTube Glitch Since Lollipop 5.1 Update

Hi so i asked over at the Motorola owners forums but nobody over there could resolve my issue. This is what's going on: So when I go to watch videos on the YouTube app on WiFi or Mobile data the video will start to play and then like 10 seconds in the video will stop and it will say "problem loading video tap to retry" so I tap to retry sometimes it works but most of the time it just keeps loading and never does anything. Once that happens all other streaming media apps don't work like Spotify won't play music as well as local mp3's that I have on my device. After a reboot then I'm able to play every thing again until it happens again. I've done a cache wipe and a factory reset without automatic backup/restore on as well as turning awesome player off in the developers options. And that has not changed anything. Any ideas on what to do? Also i'm not rooted i'm on stock firmware.

This is related to the sound module/driver and no known fix is available afaik.Probably Motorola will issue a patch for this along with several other issues.

Good to know, that probably means that the sound cracking issue is gone too.

General Problems > Pie Update

So to start things out my phone was working quite well on Oreo. I kept trying to postpone the update and eventually it auto started the update; without my permission, because I was connected to Wi-Fi after postponing the update about 3 times. Needless to say, immediately after the update my phone started to act what it seems like borked out completely. To further explain my issues ill attach a few screenies as well.
(Issue #1)
The phone is connected to the towers, however even though I can send texts and calls I have no "service" and cant use the internet at all, i.e internet browser, YouTube, Instagram, Pandora, etc... nothing loads at all it will simply say no connection in gray at the bottom of the screen. YouTube just has the circle buffer constantly, Pandora says buffering and will never load, Instagram just says couldn't refresh feed. Google maps will go into offline mode and wont ever reconnect back. Again all of this happens within 20mins or ~3 hours after the phone turns on and only solution is to restart phone. This is also not network related because even under Wi-Fi all issues are still present. Going into airplane mode and turning it on/off does nothing. ONLY a restart or power off/on fixes the issue.
(Issue #2)
Wi-Fi doesn't auto connect even though the option is on.... every-time I have to go into settings and manually click it, not a big problem but why?
Try rebooting into recovery and clearing cache. If that doesn't fix it, try a factory reset.

okay will do! I have also noticed my 3rd issue with the device is YouTube will also randomly just pause, even though it didn't need to buffer or anything like that. its as if I hit the screen to pause it even though I didn't do that.

I've been running Pie since the betas, and am now on CSAA and I don't have any of those issues. Hopefully a factory reset fixes it all for you.
Any update on the issue OP?
I am also on Pie view firmware science and haven't experienced any of those symptoms. For me, only 2 other hiccups where my video on my lock screen somehow flipped upside down randomly and the 2nd i lost my customized notification bar icons via swift installer.
