[30.12.08] Touch-IT X1-P.UC (20757) RELEASED

Try my first beta of a optimized X1 rom
I have used ported SYS/XIP from Blackstone 5.2.20757 (20757)
I added my custom reg tweaks and performance tweaks
Changed drivers with the "newer Ati drivers" (thread about it here)
Tuned up sd card performance (Based on the tnyynt SD TuneUP.cab)
Added facebook panel
Added Google panel
added FInix VGA Battery
Added UC support
removed games like soduko and bejewled (cab is in the Touch-IT add-on package)
removed opera (cab is in the Touch-IT add-on package)

Could you also add UC? I'm trying to work with it right now, and it looks very handy. I'm going to try your Manila rom tonight, but if I don't use manila that much I'll certainly try an optimized Xperia rom

I am really aiming for as little add-on apps as possible, since most can be installed via cabs....
Only app I am planning on adding is PIM backup

As for me, I use Lvmtopbat, which is really small small and small again.
You can try it out, if you don't like it, no problem as I will install the cab later or use Pocket Plus SPB which has similar meter...

Wow... In a year's time, the black and white GUI can be swiped left and right...
I wish Microsoft would just pay HTC to redesign WM from the ground up (or, more accurately, develop TouchFLo so it essentially becomes the complete GUI).
I love my BlackStone, and I love WM's power, but as better and better devices come out, the GUI looks more and more like a joke, or Windows DOS

That's awefull. How are you supposed to see if the tab you might be looking for is actually there... You first have to scroll through all of them?? And it's ugly, but then again, so are the tabs used in earlier 6.5 builds.

that might be a temporary UI as proof of concept because the newer build 23007 (found in Dutty's rom) does not have this at all.

as i understand it dutty is using winmo 6.5 build 23007
the one in this thread is winmo 6.5.1 build 21925
....i am confused.
have i got this wrong IS there a 6.5 AND 6.5.1 version
or id 21925 and old 23007 ????

23007 is a different branch to 21928. The two branches haven't been merged yet.

now it makes sense....
i suppose when they combine...and after a few more graphical tweaks from microsoft...it could be something quite special!!

Just tried the ROM posted, its fully customized which I dont really like. Does anyone have a clean version of this build?

in the Build 21928 version (V47), the HTC SMS app accepts/transmits hyperlinks in this ROM. they'll appear in a blue font with underlines. they're also clickable from the SMS app and the SMS tab. i didn't care for the guady looking WinMo message boxes and "finger-friendly" look.

[19.09.09] Touch-IT Xperience 14.2 - Released

Rom has been updated
News in this updated rom is:
-New build: 23053
-Opera 9.7
-BT works
-Owner info is in place
-Input link back
-Buttons link back
-NetCF 3.7 is removed (but can be found as cabs in windows dir for those who wants to use it)
Included in the rom:
-New XIP (real x1 nk)
-New OEM DRIVERS
-Drivers from Vulcan (x2)
-Album with social networking from Leo
-New netcf 3.7 (final) (can be removed in "Remove Programs"
-ManilaPositionFix for the new builds are included
Rom is fast and stable...
Other info:
-Now manila 2.1 have location weather working
-Bluetooth is working from CommManager again
-HW Keyboard works
-Owner info back
-Colored icons in tray as in Hero/Leo
-SMS should be fixed

dont expect new x1 stuff in the rom..there is none..what is important is that its now a official 6.5 base...
second..this means that they are gonna release a 6.5 update for x1 sometime in the future

I am guessing that it is not a WM6.5 buld with the new buttons (i.e. 037, 041, 049 etc. etc.).
However, the new OEM drivers and xip sound amazing (unless someone really screwed up).
I have to ask.....

but it will have build 23054 (no thats not the build that came with it)

that info I cant provide..rom date is august 2009, but that is not provided in the device info.

and i thought sony ericsson was stopping updates to the xperia!

I am asking about the official ROM. I know itje is building his own. I am asking if the official ROM that he has acquired is one intended for release or an early version of one for release for the X1.

The V65 is a very very fluid ROM with Twitter incorporated, the only problem I encounter is a bug in the Opera browser (ERROR message!), Someone there a way to overcome that? thank you

Just flashed the Rom. By tapping on the button Settings (windows Start button) nothing happens. do u have an idea How to fix that?

SPB products
I flashed the ROM again and did not installed SPB shell. The settings button works.
SPB Weather does not work (the Message: send weather request failed. The city is not added). I Think SPB is not compatible with this Rom.

Can anyone upload to new sites ..not rapidshare and megaupload but others.

I feel the same with both...
I tested V65 for a couple of hours and the truth is that it is a very fast and stable ROM, but I'm really missing the beauty of the 23... core.
Until a new 23... based ROM, I'm back to V64.

I am absolutly satisfied with the new V65. First I also missed the new streamlined UI concept of the bottom bar, but the 21... branch is much more stable and has compatibility with all other applications. Also syncing / PC connection is more stable then in the last COM3 builds.
For me its really a great ROM, as the most important UI changes FROM the 23047+ builds are integrated in this build as well, except the missing new bottom bar

NET Compact Framework v3.5
I installed NET Compact Framework v3.5 and the ROM works now.
But still if SPB Shell runs, tapping on Icon Setting do not work. if SPB Shell does not run, it works.

Advise on a cooked rom

Looking for advise on a cooked rom with the following:
1; Fast
2; Touch sensitive. Ultimate touch sensitivity applied
3; winmo 6.5 with the start button the new style (down bottom)
4; English
and preferably without TF3D. I really really really DISLIKE and hate TF3D so a rom without it would be splendid.

It does NOT have the 6.5 stuff nor does it have the new style windows start button at the bottom

You said in your first post you hate TF3D, so your solution is to try a LEO ROM??
Sure you can switch off the TF3D (Settings >> Today >> Items >> Windows Default), but this IS by default a TF3D (HTC Sense) ROM. Use his Xperio version if you want Win Mo 6.5 only.

xperia panels and panel manager does not work well on the builds with the start button on the bottom bar, and my roms are based on the latest 21882 build

i suggest for you to read read read, not being harsh dude, but if you read you will find the link, and you will see the roms are 6.5, i do not see the reason for 6.1 when SEUS gives the best 6.1 rom....i know im a fanboy but if we do get that 6.5 upgrade, unoff production is completely done

i assume its the first link above because i tried the second one already and its not what i want (no start button at bottom)

as i said before, the panel manager and panels, does not work well with those builds
and i told you to read read read, this is how you will know what the roms are and their contents
if you dont read any of the chefs' release notes and rom info, you will find yourself flashing almost every rom and not knowing what you are installing....
the main rule of xda is to read, this way u wont be disappointed

definitely, but it's got manila 2.5, as already mentioned, pure 2.1 build would be x1_***TR.7z
generally: 21*** builds are old ui, 28*** new ui (start bottom left side)
and a general +1 to spikegottis advice
