Purchased a HTC touch diamond (sprint)... I have tried installed Phone pad as well as idialer and slide to unlock... Everything i install turns into a 1 inch by 1 inch block for the exception of slide to unlock which is still noticably small and the settings for it are crunched together so some things i cant read.... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP... I NEED THIS PHONE PAD SO I CAN TEXT FAST!!!

well today I flashed my phone again (for the hundredth time...nothing new here) it was either open touch 5 lite or itspoppa rc5 that i had when it started...but my directional buttons on the d-pad went out 1 by 1 over the course of a few hours. i thought my up button was just broken at first...until i realized it worked if i slide the keyboard open. now when the phone is closed the d-pad doesnt work at all it doesn't even register that im pressing buttons to extend the backlight time...but if i slide open the keyboard magically they all work?! i've flashed to t-mobile stock and had the same problem and took out the flash card and flashed to open touch 5.2 and still have the same problem. the keys work because its PERFECT when the keyboard is open? i dont understand whats going on! ive searched and googled forever and never heard of anything like this =[ idk what it could be from?! could anyone please help me? thankyou

it sounds like the ribbon cable is loose between the two halves of the phone. but I could be wrong
i'd be willing to open the phone up and take a look...had to do that to a laptop to fix the screen before the ribbon vga was loose. does anyone know how exactly to open up the wing? lol. if anyone can point me towards a tutorial thatd be great.

I have troublesome problem. Could you help me. My phone is ADP1.
If the real keyboard is closed, and phone is locked then I cannot use menu button to unlock, it does not display anything , keyboard is bright
If the real keyboard is opened, and phone is locked then I can use menu to unlock, it displays, keyboard is bright as normal.
While the phone is unlocked, whether the real keyboard is opened or closed, it works as normal.
The problem is I cannot unlock the phone while the real keyboard is closed. It' really crazy
I also try to downgrade to 1.0, upgrade to 1.5, the result is the same.
Please help me

I'm pretty sure you can only "slide to unlock" it. Is your touch screen broken?

Employ the services of a Parapsychologist?
If it's locked and won't slide open on the other hand, then make sure the sim door isn't unlocked and jamming it. I'm really not sure what it is you're asking for.

my screen is fine.... i think there is some internal hardware problem with the touch screen.... i have formated the set with the hope that i may work but now its on alignment screen after that screen it is on that touch unlock screen.... i have installed customized first rom of wm6.5 which was uploaded at this site.... plzz help ... there must be such keys which can unlock the screen with touch. plzzz help

It doesn't have an 'electrically locked' screen on my TyTN II and never has but then I'm not using a Beta OS. You'll be better off posting in the thread relating to the custom ROM you're using (or just reverting to a default original ROM setup which you know works).

im not new to this forum but im new to Sony's X1 & i have a X1 that has keyboard & screen rotate issues
iv done the keyboard clean job ..STRIPED my X1 and learnt more in the past 12 hours than i have in the past 2 weeks about phones .
BUT I NEED TO LEARN MORE !!

ok let me try explain..
when i slide the qwerty keyboard out the screen dose not switch to landscape mode.
but the keyboard lights up like it should.
when im inserting text with the qwerty keybord slid out the text dose not come up on the display TILL i slide closed the keyboard..
and when the keyboard is slid out the touch screen dose not respond @ all ....
Hmmmm i had an Omnia and i missed the qwerty keyboard i will doctor this SONY x1 till its 100%
