Very nice cases. I really prefer cases like these which are more like a pouch. I only need a case to protect my device when it is in a pocket, bag or backpack... In addition, invisible shield is not a bad choice to protect the device from scratches.

Yup, had another look with my glasses on, and reckon you're right. Pity as they made the Cruise on as just a pouch and it was really nice. In fact, I'm using it for the Diamond at the moment as it's better than nothing, but it's too big.

I contacted Krusell and they said they would have a case available for the Diamond at the end of June. Their cases are great - I have used them on all my handhelds.

sorry to dig up an old thread but i picked up a case from ebay but it's for the slim diamond, not the thick one like what i have.
so, how do i tell the difference between the two when it's advertised? i've been dropping the phone way too much to my liking (usually on carpet but still). would like to protect the phone somehow.

I know there are several threads about cases for the HD2 here, but a few are about leather cases (which I do not want to use)...there some about the silicone/ gel cases which I would like to use, and theres the invisible skin type which I would like to know more about. I do not know if the Invisible Skin/Armor ..w/e you want to call it -they seem the same to me... are tough enough to truly protect the phone from a fall ?
I also would like to know if there are any silicone/gel cases which are thinner than usual but still provide adequate protection...
One good example I can think of is this one case I saw on an iphone -it was a clear hard case, but it was very thin which made me really like it...

Just got the Silver Case Mate Barely There today. Brilliant stuff - super snug, mirror finish, super thin. As thin and light as More-Thing's cases in fact, which I used to use when still on a Touch HD. Finger magnet but love it anyways

Better go cheapo-if i'd get a nice looking case, i wouldn't want THAT to get scrathed up either!
I ordered the capdase protector, seems to be really nice. the invisible shield and stuff like that offer no drop protection i hope mine will offer some.
Hmm... the barely there case not available yet for Tmo US HD2
I bought my "barely there" case direct from HK. Problem is, if you have multiple batteries like I do, you tend to scratch your phone when removing/replacing the case to get to the battery cover.
This led me to use the clear/invisible armor/shield, but I've had to remove the section that covers the antenna because it seems to cause rapid battery drain - see my post at thread 652013.

Also known as flexishield case. It's like a soft plastic / gel case so glides in and out of your pockets easily and doesn't stick/attract lint like some silicone cases. It offers good protection but only adds about 1mm thickness to your phone.
I recommend black/gray but the choice is yours.

but I find it hard to believe that it only adds 1mm thickness, 1mm is like a screen protector thickness almost....idk maybe I am wrong?

But certainly doesn't add much at all. A screen protector is micron thin. I don't think it adds 1mm...
There are also variations in the gel type cases. Some are actually thicker. My friend bought a similar one but was quite a bit thicker. It had like a checked pattern on the back.

You guys may want to check the HTC HD2 Armor Case by BoxWave - The Metal Case sells @ Amazon.com for $27.95 (US DLS) I just bought 2 one for my wife & me. My thing is; you have a pretty nice and expensive phone, you better protect it good!!!

I'm currently using the black gel case that came with it, but it makes me worry, as it comes off easily and does not cover the camera at all! I fitted 2 tiny pieces of duct tape around the camera to protect it - there has to be a better solution

This is the one I bought and I am very pleased with the quality and protection it provides. It's also inexpensive and has a metal clip, not plastic.

The OEM European leather slip case fits the US Tmo version perfectly. Very thin and doesn't add much bulk to the phone at all. I really like it. Though I'm still hoping Sena comes out with an ultraslim slip for it because I like the feel of real leather.

Those Sena cases look awesome - I just emailed their customer service, hopefully one is in the works for the HD2. Other than that there's one at more-thing dot com (I can't post links yet) for the HD2 that looks pretty good as well.

I bought mine off ebay. But I had the for thought to buy it a couple of weeks before the US release when there was very little demand for it. It was under $6 bucks shipped from China to the US and took 7 days.

Does your TMO HD2 fit in the case with the provided gel case installed as well? I'm thinking "no" but I would like to know for sure. Thanks!
The rubber slip on that comes with it sucks. It's loose and it collects lint like a mother... There is really nothing good onlinethat I can tell. However, T Mobile sells a few slip ons at their store.
The black one they sell is soft rubber and just as sucky as the one that came with it, but the purple case they sell that is in a clear box is rigid and strong, fits tight and awesome... The downfall is that it's purple... but it's only 14.99 so I bought it. It picks up no lint and is very rigid and fits super tight. Much like your pal's Iphone case. it will work for now, until Seidio or some other good case company puts out something else. This case doesn't protect the camera at all but it's great it every other way... (Besides being Purple) check out the pics. I put that decal on there to make it a little less feminine maybe? It won't let me post the pictures so hopefully the links work and you can cut and paste. Sorry. Says I'm a new user... put the http stuff in front of it if you want to see it.

I found a good case at the T-Mobile store, it just showed up. Body Glove, clear plastic, pretty attractive, with some rubber for grip + kickstand. Check your local T-Mobile store, I'm happy with it. It costs $20

I thought magnet cases are not good for the phones with accelerator . G-sensor, GPS, etc???
I saw that one at fommy.com... My issue is that they don't show the back of the case and I want to make sure that if I buy another case, that it protects the camera lens... I'm holding out for Boxwave's honeycomb case.
Having exactly the same case on my previous phone (Nokia E71) I have found the same style just for US T-Mobile HD2 - it's not really the full case BUT it will do great job with Invisible Shield over the screen

So I ordered this case before TMO released the phone (being proactive) and it does not wrap the phone perfectly. forcing it to fit will crack the case. I also believe that this case has slightly bent my battery cover (which hilariously makes for easier removal). that being said it won't pop off on a drop, and the crack on the case only visible on the inside (when the case is off). I wouldn't recommend this case, but if you can find a USA compatible case, I do highly recommend this style of case.

I purchased this case about 2 weeks ago for my US TMO HTC HD2 and I've had no problems with it. It is a little bit snug, but I can take it on and off in a few seconds. And I've taken it off probably 50 times since I got it, my phone has no scratches on it at all. I don't think it's "really tight", it fits perfect. I like how thin and minimal it is. I'd tried a few cheap hard rubberized cases from Ebay and they all started to peel/de-laminate immediately. I like this case so far.
i just bought a similar case with this one for $6 from ebay.It fits my phone perfectly. The only thing that this case is better than mine is: it's not polish.

I saw in one of the post here at xda that it leaves scratches on the edge of your phone due to the tightness when you install it
I am a big fan of the Seidio Surface cases and clips. I have been using them since my Blackberry days. I got the ringke case and am satisfied with it for now, but I haven't been able to find any clip/case set even remotely similar to the Seidio, hard and slim case that spring-snaps into a belt clip case. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm a fan of holsters too... but it's almost 2016 and, apparently, they are not "cool" anymore...
Wait for Seidio. I've used their cases & holsters for years and nothing else I've tried compares.
I'm in the same boat, holster cases are what I use but there's not much of a selection yet, hopefully we'll see some more manufacturers produce some, for now I'll just have to settle for whatever I can find on Amazon.
Supcase has one for their more "durable" case
I usually use a holster with no case. I received a response from Seidio and they are not planning making one for the 5x!

It is a little thick, but what were you expecting? The description said that's what it was and usually the 2 piece cases aren't thin. I hadn't used the previous versions so I guess I'm not sure how they were built before.
I got one too and am fine with it, but I also normally use two layer cases so that's why I got it. All of the cut outs are good, it has a flat back while keeping camera off of the surface and it clips around the phone well enough that I can't just push the phone out of the case. It would be a little nicer if the buttons weren't set in as much as they are but it's not a huge deal to me.

That sucks. I got the ebay one for the time being, it's one layer, fairly thin.
