can i use these firmwares? - Click Android Development

found a image for tattoo (signed) on this site, can this be installed?
http://code.google.com/p/vogue-hero/downloads/detail?name=CLICIMG_Click_HTC_BE_1.67.1100.7_release_signed.zip it looks like an official "developer" release?
file CLICIMG_Click_HTC_BE_1.67.1100.7_release_signed sounds like its official for the developer edition "CLICK"..

it says; Developement only. Not flashable
But i dont know... Just try it...
Official ROM HTC 1.65.405.1 WWE for HTC Click (Tattoo) is downloadble at htcpedia anyway...

You misunderstand... this isn't a developer release, it's a release for developers of Android of Vogue. It's probably flashable to Tattoo, but not in the context of that Google code page. BE = British English? ZIP won't immediately be flashable but can probably be modified to be flashable.

BE is for Belgium

That was the original update for the actual phone. As was said, it's on HTC's site as well. It's the latest update available as of yet

Hello all - this looks like a great forum, so I've finally registered...
Has anyone had success flashing the original firmware on to an Orange branded phone? Looking at people's experience with Orange Heroes, it looks pretty intense.
I was hoping to be able to get the firmware off the phone and in some way edit it to allow standard firmwares to be flashed over it, then flash as normal. But it's worth remembering I don't know what I'm doing...

You should be able to install another ROM without a problem. I did the same 4 days ago on an Orange branded Tattoo.

Did you have to go through the process of creating a Gold Card??
I have one of these coming this week & was hoping to remove all the Orange rubbish & get back to stock, but I'm a bit put off by the process involved.
On my last phone, Touch Pro, I just entered the product code for a WWE on the HTC site & it flashed it for me. That was a Voda one though, it seems Orange have done a bit more to try & protect it?

Is there a stock german rom without a vodafone or o2 branding?

Vodafone 1.14.161.5

Hi,
Does anyone still have the stock rom for Vodafone 1.14.161.5? On their site, there is version 1.14.161.6, but I would like to get the stock 1.14.161.5.
Thanks!!
anyone still has this rom version?
I'm pretty certain the stock ROM for Vodafone is 1.14.161.6 (50207). It even list that in the wiki here. Unfortunately, I can't turn up the stock ROM even from Vodafone's website. I only found radios there. Normally you can find them HERE, but I didn't see it. Hopefully someone else can point you towards the stock ROM.
I'm pretty sure that when I bought my phone, it got the 1.14.161.5 on it, but I can't seem to find a link to this version of the rom.

Well, I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, but I can't even find that version in a search. I always end up back at this thread or a few from over a year ago asking for it. Every link I've found is to download 1.14.161.6. There is a thread HERE with that version, if you like.
How long ago did you get your phone ? When I bought my phone over a year ago from Vodafone UK, it was before WM 6.5 came out, and it came with the 1.14.161.6 ROM. Why do you want to go back to an even older ROM ?

[Q] Unlocked Tmobile HD2 - custom ROM

Dear Friends
I am using unlocked Tmobile HD2 in India
Now if I flash it with custom ROMs will it again lock it to the Tmobile network
Please help me friends if some precautions to be take for flashing
Thanks
No, dont worry, once unlocked it cannot be re locked.
Do NOT try to flash any stock roms except tmous stock rom. Example never flash the stock India rom,,, all stock roms will destroy your phone. Only use roms that say " tmous compatible," or "leo1024" or similar.

Thanks samsamuel...but mine is Tmobile UK with 512 mb flash size
If I flash the official Tmobile UK ROM..will it relock itself
Thanks
Ohhhhh right, in future don't say "t mobile hd2", its unnecessary, confusing and you will get wrong advice.
also, this "t mobile" section isn't for you, its for t mobile USA, which is kind of a different phone.
Answer no, it will never be re locked.

hd2 rom update
Hi, i use an US t-mobile HD2 in Hungary. Its unlocked.
ROM version: 2.13.531.1. I like to update the rom to 3.14
I found on t-mobile's site some instructions, and the new rom.
My question is: when i update ROM with original t-mobile ROM(3.14), can it be re locked?? Thanks (sorry for my bad english)
No it will not be relocked by flashing a new ROM (stated many times in many threads including this one)
If flashing you would be best looking at Energy 29017 custom ROMs unless you have a very good reason to want flash original ROM.
Custom ROM is superb & functions far better than any latest operator build.
I had T-Mobile 3.14 & flashing to Energy 23699 build ROM is like jumping forwards 2 years in software development (probably closer to a decade at MS development speed)
i have been using maglr 1.13 i think im locked out now i open up a daf an it reads Readme.txt for this release is missing.can someone steer me in the ridgt direction
Steer yourself at Google and type "magldr rearmed.txt missing", loads of results.

[Q] Change firmware version?

I've searched for this, but can't find it anywhere.
I have this Galaxy Note, absolutely great device, but as my boss is a cheapskate I got a version from Poland, including the branding of some provider there. So besides getting this friggin annoying bootscreen, and the phone starting in Polish, I also have to install the Polish firmware updates.
This is the version I can update to: pda:lc1 / phone:lb2 / csc:lb1 (pls)
But I have been holding it of as I want to get the NL version. Only now ICS seems to have been released and while I'll probably go to a vanilla version, I would still like to know if it's possible to change from a Polish version to a Dutch version.
Please let me know if this is possible.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

i have the same model. LC1 is still one of the latest revisions of gingerbread.
ICS is not officially available for any version of the note yet aside from the chinese rip off models (if it did launch, im sure you'll see 20 odd threads about it). the ones available now are just leaks from samsung and custom ROMs.
you can flash to a multiCSC official rom and change the csc code if you want, otherwise, you can just flash ICS stunner, AOKP, AOSP, CM9, etc.

Upgrade IncS to ICS via HTCDev website

I am using an incredible s on Virgin Mobile Canada. I am being told that this device is not being updated to Android 4.0. Instead, HTC told me to go to htcdev[dot]com/devcenter/downloads to download the operating system. I have a couple questions;
1. What region do I use; TW, WWE, AU, TUR, SPA, HK CHT, CN CHS, etc. ?
2. What description number; 4.08.1400.5, 4.14.980.2, 4.10.708.1, etc. ?
And most importantly,
3. How do I do install the new operating system on my phone?
Would be a great help! Thanks! :cyclops:

Thanks, But on the HTCDev site there is only a CRC. Is this the same? Will it update to ICS? If not, can I use an RUU for another device instead?
and is it possible to do on a mac via the htcdev website?
and does the phone need to be rooted?

Virgin Mobile gave you bad information. At the HTCDEV.com site, you will only find the kernel source code for the devices. HTC no longer has a public download site where you can download the actual RUU (ROM Update Utility).
You need to go to the Development section and look at the "Shipped ROMs" sticky thread. There you will find a link to a site that has several RUU's for the IncS. You probably want to get the ICS WWE 4.10.405.1 RUU.
Upgrade, deregionalise without GoldCard?
QUOTING FROM THE DEVELOPMENT THREAD (I'm not allowed to post there):
Default HTC releases 3 ICS RUU on HTCDEV.com
HTC has posted 3 Incredible S ICS RUUs on [htcdev]
All 3 are labeled 4.14.405.2 and when I examined the N.American/Canadian version here is what I found:
1. android-info.txt lists all IncS modelids and has wildcards for most CID. This means that this RUU is generic and probably could be used on any IncS WITHOUT the need for a goldcard.
2. HBOOT version is now 2.03.
3. A newer radio is included.
ENDQUOTE.
Thanks for this, I've been reading the forums for two days now trying to figure out what the best way to upgrade my Incredible S is. This looks like it might be it, but I would like to make sure -- any advice is appreciated.
I am using an Incredible S from Virgin Mobile Canada. It is running the stock Android 2.3.3 OTA update from August 2011. I left Canada and paid to have Virgin SIM unlock the phone. Since then I have never seen another operating system update notification, I assume because I am now decoupled from Virgin's update server or some such.
The phone is S-ON and that's fine, I do not need anything fancy or custom, at least for now. I would just like my phone to receive stock HTC Incredible S upgrades -- I know there is one for 2.3.5 which I hear is quite good.
I spent last night making a GoldCard -- but now, as your post makes clear, it looks like there is a stock Android 4 RUU that will upgrade my phone and de-regionalise it. Does this sound right? I have downloaded the RUU you linked (they list 3, but I think it's all the same file, which is encouraging since I want it de-regionalised), and I'll hunt down a Windows machine to run it if indeed this is what I want.
Two further questions:
How best to backup the phone? I've seen apps like Titanium but it looks like the phone needs to be rooted. Is it really possible to revert back to 2.3.3 afterwards? From what I'm seeing it looks as though downgrading can be as hard as upgrading.
Do we know if this release of Android 4 is really better than 2.3.5? If it's still buggy, perhaps using the GoldCard and 2.3.5 would be worth it.
Thanks very much.
I understood that your phone is s-on, but do you still have warranty to force you to stay, or you want to try to s-off? I'm asking you this cause if you s-off your device you'll have a wide range of possibilities for roms without need to make a gold card or use RUUs, even with Revolutionary hboot. Also, returning back to s-on from Revolutionary s-off is not hard at all.

The posts above yours were made before HTC posted official ICS RUU's on htcdev.com
[edit] Just noticed all the ICS RUU links on htcdev point to the same file, so there's a good chance you'll be fine.

All ICS RUUs on htcdev are the same, so it's one RUU made for all versions of IncS.

Thanks for the replies.
Regarding S-OFF, I will certainly think about that in the future; for now I'm happy with just sticking to the official HTC upgrades and see how I like it.
I agree that this new ICS RUU from htcdev looks like it will work straight out of the box, as it were. Only my two final questions remain:
1. How best to backup the phone?
2. Is ICS going to run slowly/buggily on my Incredible S (now an older phone)? I suppose the only way to be sure is to try it...
Thanks again.

There have been complaints of ICS running slowly on IncS, that is with the official release, however many custom roms are lightning fast..

This is the file I used to upgrade my incs to ICS: http://dl4.htc.com/RomCode/Source_and_Binaries/One_Generic_code_Vivo.zip
I'm on Bell Canada, the above file is a generic Canadian ROM. You'll be missing the Virgin bloatware, but if you need it, you can get it from the Google Play Store.
How are you finding it runs, noticeably better or worse than Gingerbread?
Thanks.

[Q] ROM Proximus Be

Hello,
Sorry for my bad English ^^
I search a ROM for the operator Proximus in Belgium. If someone know who find a official ROM ?
Thanks a lot,
Aireil
Are you looking for a ROM for a phone you bought from Proximus, or are you really looking for a ROM modified by Proximus? If so, I didn't even know they did that... I've certainly never bumped into one, I'd doubt providers would make them publicly available :/
However, if you're just looking for a ROM for a phone you bought from Proximus but is essentially just an i9000 (or variant) then just look in the development sections for a ROM that suits your needs. Usually the phone + SIM 'deals' in Belgium are just a regular phone plus a crappy service

Unfortunately, i search a ROM by Proximus. The operator have his own ROM, like Orange in France. And this ROM have some application for Proximus
Yuck
There's probably nothing you can find in that case. If you currently have their ROM on your phone and there's no update made available to you it's highly unlikely Proximus would ever do any effort to provide updates... Is there any specific reason why you are looking for this ROM if you already have it on your phone?
Ho no, i don't have it on my phone. I need it for an application Proximus include in the ROM ^^
How could you ever want... more bloatware?!
Anyway, I found a couple of things you may find interesting. Firstly, if you're lucky the application you're looking for may be available from Google play, Belgacom has a couple of apps on there => https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Belgacom
Also, I found a topic on another site (in French, but since you're from Belgium too that shouldn't be a problem), which is here http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/55453-rom-originale-proximus-belgique/, where somebody has pretty much the exact same problem. You could always try that
Thanks for you're help, i saw the post on FrAndroid before come here, but i can't run CheckFus. :crying:
Yes, it's this app but i need an official ROM for it's work ^^
Hello,
It's possible to put a "official" version on my Galaxy S and after Upgrade by Kies ?
Because for the moment, i can't upgrade with Kies.
