Is there a way to keep the phone set to Vibe then Ring all the time? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

First, I apologize if this is a repost, I was not sure what to "search" for. My Diamond is set to Vibe then Ring. When needed, using the keys on the side I will set it to just VIBE. When I decide to go back and turn then ringer on, it does not DEFAULT to Vibe then Ring, instead it goes to RING. I have contacted HTC and they gave me some line that this is the way it was designed. Does any one know if there is a way around this or a fix(CAB file). THANKS!

What exactly ur porblem is??
1) do u want to keep default incoming ring as "vibe"
Or
2) U want to keep default incoming ring as "ring" only??

Ok, I want my phone to always be on Vibe then Ring. I want to be able to change it to VIBE only when I choose. When I then use the keys on the side to change it back so the ringer works, I want it to go back to Vibe then Ring, NOT just RING. Thanks!

Vibrate Then Ring? Vibe + Ring? Alarm when on Vibrate?

I have 3 questions, semi-related.
How can I set my ringer to Vibe then Ring? What about Vibe AND Ring?
And finally, how can I set my phone to vibrate but still get the alarm to play???
THANKS!! My old Motorola v557 could do these things, I would assume the Tilt can too....
go to settings > personal > phone
there on the first tab you will see ting-type, that's how you change from vibe then ring, ring+ring.
as for vibrate but still have alarm, that i am not sure how to do.

Too much SMS vibrate

Is there anyway to make it vibrate for a shorter time when a text arrives?. At the moment the vibration makes as much noise and disturbance as having the ring tone on- not so good when you are trying to be discreet.
I hate to bump such an old message but does anyone have a solution for this? I did a search and can find only options for Ring vibrate changes... the SMS vibrate I have on this ROM is long and annoying. Before, I had just 3 short bursts.... Honestly, I would like just 1 short one!
If you go to start, settings, sounds and notifications, you can configure some things, but not set 3 vibrations to one, but you can set the vibration off

You may as well put it on silent then?
what you need is a registry change. Which one though is a question I can't answer.
I have the 1.3 NmLs rom, and set on vribation, i only get one vibration, for a few seconds.
I was also wondering if someone could point me to the registry change for sms vibrations. On Dutty's older roms, I had 3 short bursts.... on his version 4 ROM, its a longer single one. I really would like a short discreet one....
I am sure there must be a way. Heck you can even control the haptic feedback on some keyboards like finger keyboard 2.1.... Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

I have a solution but there's a catch. It's only a workaround and only allows *.wav files as ringtones.
You can configure your own virbation sequence. It's not user friendly though
after installation you will have some new files under /mydocuments
among those are
v100.vibrp files. These are scripts containing the *.wav file for the sound, and the ringing sequence
You can then select those virb files as if they were normal ringtones in your sound settings
you can alter the ringing sequence to whatever you like - it requires some trial and error. You can alter the wav files as well.
I can upload a file which results in 3 short vibrations if you can't manage to configure it.
Is there seriously no easy registry fix for this? In my current rom the vibration is for like 1234312 seconds and it really annoys me and the rest of the world.
there is none, but my above fix works just fine

Vibration

Is there any software that i configure a vibration time in my incoming calls?
mine is vibrating full time. when the xperia start the ringtone the vibration do not pause or stop till i answer the call
can someone help or suggest something?
In Sounds & Notifications you have the possibility to choose between ring only, vibrate only, ring and vibrate (it seems like you have chosen this setting) and the alternative of starting with vibration and ringing afterwards.
If this is not enough for you there is the possibility to adapt the sequence of the incoming call notification either in the registry (I don't know the keys though) or by using tweaking software such as SK Tools.
Thanks

I found a program about it long long ago,but it not perfect

Vibrate

Does anyone think the default vibrate is a bit long?
I noticed you can create your own vibrate pattern (awesome feature), so I made a shorter one but it doesn't apply it!
Is that due to me being in vibrate mode only? But that doesn't make sense if so...
once you've created your pattern, make sure you recorded it (you are asked to give it a name for that).
then select it in the list of vibration patterns.

Yep, did that. It appears it only works for the ring tone and doesn't change the vibrate when in silent vibrate mode...
is it possible to disable the vibration when u switch into silence mode?
for example i have the normal mode activated and then press volume down until i hit "vibration mode" it vibrates - is it possible to disable that?
i a using llama to automatically switch into silence modes etc, i always thing i get a text message when i enter my work -.-
Please is possible disable vibrate when is delivered message or I touch list of applications on my launcher ? I donĀ“t like vibrate ... in setting is option for disable vibrate for ringtone but not for other. Do you have some idea ? Thanks
I never use vibrate
