This is for Manila 2.5 ver.1921+
I have a final version that is ready to test. The cab file included should be the final version of the icons. The newest version also includes a blue highlight for the selected icon as well as the Hero style collapse button for Max Manila Ultimate. the icons have been maxed out in size. They are the largest picture I could get in without breaking the icons or making them looking ridiculous and out of place. This is one of the problems I think a few are having. When the icon is to large to display it will come out a white box.

Please backup manila files before attempting install. This will be replacing your manila files and is not uninstallable.
Go to Settings

I tried to install the icons you sent me. disabled sense, saved old manilas, replaced and restarted sense. even reset a couple of times to make sure. I couldn't get either set to show up. just had slider w/ no icons.
I would love to try out these icons, but it looks like the only feedback that was received had some problems getting it going. Was there something that this one individual did wrong?
What did you use to copy over the new files? I have used both Total Commander and WinRar. The one thing you could check for me is what version of 2.5 you are running. I have a strong feeling that anything before 1921 might have issues. I built these icons on the 2.5 1921 port. I was looking at some earlier manila builds finally late last night and noticed some files were named differently.
This is why I only wanted to release to a given few so I could sort out problems like this. Anybody that has had issues can zip up their stock backed up manila and send it back to me so I can see the differences. I'm hoping to get back a few different versions of 2.5 so I can look over the files and change what I have to. I will most likely have to put out different versions for different manila ports/builds.
ok i gave it a try on two different builds the 28008 and 21xxx with the same max manila that u have and my background turns white and the only get a clear bottom with out icons like the first person posted. ill look in to it some more but i think we're missing something. if u find out anything go ahead and send me an email. thanks hope we can get this to work cause i really like especially with the gorillaz.
Anybody that I sent the files to if you can send me back your original manila backups I can look over to see what is happening.
I think the real problem that people are having is what version 2.5 was cooked into their ROM. The ROM I used was a Manila Sense 2.5 V1921. If you have an earlier version of Sense like the 1911 build my icons will break it.
To find out what version you are currently running go to:
Setting tab
Scroll to bottom
Click on "About phone"
Click "Software Information"
Look to see what version your cook is using. on his ROMS.
I'm currently trying to find the time to make another set that should work on the earlier builds.

Uhm ya it's removing manila and replacing them. There is no uninstall. This is why I stated it was for a certain version manila and to check before installing.
When installing something that plays with manila you should always do a back up first.

Not sure if I will be making another version. I would be forever if I made a version for each manila build. I'm currently working on making another set of icons for another person who is just happens to be using an older build. Once I'm done with that I will look into it and see if I have the time to swap png's and get another version out.

Positioning of icons
Using a 21864 NRG Rom on a VGA device & everything works fine. After installing MaxManila Ultimate the large icons are off centre. To correct this should I reposition the icons by editing the manila files or is there a xml/mode9 file which I need to edit?

Which larger ones? The very larger ones that come up in the center of the phone or the larger icons in the bar itself? Also which version of Max did you install? If it was the newest 2.5-2.6 beta that is not in VGA yet on WVGA so that might explain the issue you are having.

I got tired of not having the flip clock on the AT&T Rom so here is my first attempt on adding all the files AT&T left out to make the flip clock work.
It will remove the AT&T Tab. I am sure no one will miss the AT&T Tab. BUT, if you want it by request i can add it back in if you like me to.
This only updates the manila files (ex. - #_manila) only. It does not update the manila.exe files. UNLESS YOU HAVE TF3D VERSION LOWER THAN 1.35.
Fair warning this will update all manila 3d files and it adds the htc black.tsk into windows. It will over write all files and add new files to make flip clock work.
the background picture looks like what came on the non branded touch pro and diamond.
this files is hugh so heads up on this.

as my skills improve a smaller and faster file will be updated.
once you install this file go to settings\today and select htc black.tsk to get rid of the gray bars on top and on bottom.

On ALL ANALOG CLOCK VERSIONS - you will need to go to settings tab, click wallpaper button, and click on the diamond wallpaper.png to make the home screen look like the rest of the pages. Also the analog clock can be moved by holding the stylus on the analog clock for 2 seconds, and then drag to where you want to place the clock.

If you lost tabs due to Adv Config 3.3 or diamond tf3d confi tools download "Restore all tabs to tf3d.cab" from my mediafire account to get all of the tabs back again.
Color of font in sound and data has a hot fix that is released. download "Hotfix for font issue in data and sound settings.cab" from my mediafire account to fix this issue.
If your People Tab has a delay or doesn't work (ie - Crystal flip White Numbers Version) download HERG62123's HOTFIX for People Tab.cab from the hotfix folder in my mediafire account
My Applications to Program HOTFIX.cab ....only on v7 this applys. Change My Applications to Programs in the title bar for the programs tab. download from my mediafire account now

mines having a bit of an odd error now, it worked fine until I rebooted the phone and now there are little white bars at the top and bottom of the clock, kinda like it didnt flip all the way. Attached is a picture.

everything stays the same except this adds the flip clock, removes at&t tab, and puts the original htc stock look and feel theme. other than that everyting stays the same.
Nice work Herg. Looks awesome. I am modifying AVlev's Dialer Skin from the Diamond to work on the Fuze in landscape. I am almost done with it. Just two images I cant seem to locate. It will fit perfectly with this background.

Can this .cab be uninstalled? And if so, will the home tab return to the default setting? Will the AT&T tab be restored after uninstall? I really want to try it out, but I'm not ready to make any PERMANENT changes, and I want to avoid hard resets for now. Thanks for anyone who can answer this.

I thought about that, but I avoid Sprite Backup, because it always screws up my 2 e-mail accounts. Of course I can download the emails again, but if I don't backup emails, then I lose all my SMS/MMS, which can't be retrieved....
Can't you just delete the over-written files to restore the original AT&T theme? Isn't that what TF3D Config does when it restores a default theme?
Install worked and the the theme looks great, but it removed my default Weather location (Harrisburg, PA) and the Weather database Editor tool (found in one of these forums) won't let me add it back. The only option is to add a country, but that doesn't do anything.
[EDIT] Weather Editor 1.1 modified was able to put my location back in the DB. Weather Editor 1.2 did not work.
These were tested on VGA rhodium manila only. They may or may not work on other versions.

Here's the italian xml for program launcher. I added ids_home to it, but you'll need to edit the text for italian using notepad(I just put "Home") since I'm on way to work and didn't have time to get correct word.

To uninstall, disable tf3d, go to Remove Programs and remove the cab

great app, makes the program tab look much better
one request, is there a way you can make the programs slide past the TF3D tab? I find it a little hard to select the bottom programs since my tab covers it. Also, the D-Pad seems to highlight rows instead of individual programs. And is there anyway we can get D-Pad scroll to work on that tab?
v2 & v1 doesn't display the last row of icons correctly... i can only see part of the icon and the other 3/4 of the icon is covered by the bottom sliding curtaain

This looks really great, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to either re-order the icons like Ph33zy asked, or to have favorites like the stock Programs tabs but with four rows of four instead of three rows of three. I have so many programs installed that it takes a while to scroll through everything to find the ones I use all the time.

The icons cab overwrites a dll also. You lose the nice big wm6.5 finger friendly submenus and it puts the old looking wm6.1 ones in place of them. bronzeres.dll is altered/replaced and if you dont back it up first, you may have to hard reset to get your original look back. Lets just say I found out the hard way

The bronzeres.dll has to be altered to change the icons.... I installed and uninstalled this cab at least 4 or 5 times and it didn't affect anything.
@ adam sorry man I uploaded the wrong file... you should be able to manually remove the st_water files from your device and the old ones should come back

Maybe its a rom specific problem then, it does in the RRE 6.5 rom, at least on mine. As soon as I install the cab, the sub menus are changed to the smaller old style ones. After uninstall they remain.

That's odd because the bronzeres only has chome items in it, nothing else.

Just some to use in a launcher type panel, like for opera, internet sharing, total commander, to get started. I figured you would probably have a psd or xcf file or something to easily make new ones by changing text. Thanks for the matching taskbar.

Firstly id like to say that this skin is amazing, here are a few things i found after install, starting from the top down:
1: "Start" text has not changed
2: Cannot change "getting started" text to say "Programs"
3: text for the weather seems slightly indented and smaller
4: the Notifications Panel (CHome) does not point to any icons in the bronzres.dll
This is really really nice though.

I am not sure, I didn't install anything except,ATContacts and Titanium weather, as far as the font, I have noticed on the last font I was using that sometimes not all the fonts will display, usually an uninstall and reinstall will fix it. Glad you like it though, if you don't mind a hard reset, and have everything backed up I'd be curious to see if it installs correctly.
Alright so I had to go back to HTC Home after running TF2D on my Titan for a while because it was just too slow and left me low on memory. So I decided to change some of the graphics to keep the M2D look on my phone since pretty much everything else is M2D themed. So if anybody else wants to use it here it is:

Installation:
- Install HTC Home cab file first if you have not done so already, soft reset.
- Go to settings, today, items tab and uncheck HTC Home.
- Copy files to "\HTCHome" folder.
- Go back into settings and check it back on.
- Soft reset if there are any issues.

Are you using Empex's clock? I've been looking for a better alternative but unfortunately it seems there's nothing that can make it look quite like it does on the diamond. Ipaso's is close too but the digits are separate. :-/
I'm still tweaking this so maybe if I make any noticeable changes I'll update with some extras. Thanks again for the feedback.

You mean like without the faded parts in the background? Yes, I supposed you'd just have to erase those parts in Photoshop.

You can place it anywhere on the device. Personally I keep my tsk files in the "Windows" folder since that's where the stock tsk files are stored. Just copy it to your device and execute it via file explorer, should take you to today screen. Do the same with Glossy black bars if you wish to use it.
To get 6 tabs, go to phone settings -> Today -> HTC Home tab, make sure everything is checked.
EDIT: Will upload an update tonight, still no clock but I'm working on one. I just changed the Music tab icons, the missed call icon, X button, and the alarm icon.

I don't have the HTC Home tab under Today. I only have Appearance and Items. I only have the original 4 tabs in Home.
You probably don't have the same version I have. I'll post the cab I used later today.

I just finished my Diamond-style clock for this skin. It's based on Empex's clock but I used different graphics for higher quality look and so it would match the M2D background. Will upload soon.
Also I changed the music tab progress bar to match the M2D one exactly. Here are screens:
Unfortunately the clock only looks perfect in portrait mode. In landscape some rectangles show in blue areas.
updated skin not working
i finally got the 6-tab htc home! but when i installed your updated graphics skin, it won't work. it used to work before the update when i only had 4 tabs. i tried unchecking and checking HTC Home, soft-resetting but no help.
edit: i uninstalled the 6-tab home and back to 4 tabs. now, your updated graphics skin works. maybe the 6-tab home that i got is not compatible with yours?
I found there were some problems with my graphics because I had to re-install all my programs and the pack didn't work right for me.
New file is up now, lots of updated graphics. Try reinstalling Home, download the new file in my first post, then apply.
I also added the cab file I use now. Try that one.

Was wondering if we could get just a few different colors ? like
Red or Black ? Talking about the bar underneath the clock and also the highlight color when you press a tab .
Find me the tsk file you want it to go with and I'll match it the best I can.

OK I have been working on this for the last couple of days off and on and I'm close to a release of it. I have to clean up a few things like shadows and what not. maybe work on the numbers some more to make them a bit more see through. At the moment I have them so they will work with both a black and white back ground so I don't have to make two separate cabs.

They are all the same clock just with different backgrounds to show how it would look. As for working with Max Manila 2.7 I don't see why not. From what I've seen in past mods he just uses the stock 2.5's clock files. I have not really sent it around to be sure of this or hard reset to be sure it will work with just a stock port. But I did pull the files from a stock port and have been using them in two version of Max Manila without a major issues.
I'm currently got what I think will be a good release version I just have to make one or two tweaks to get the color I want. I'm going for a slight tint to make it more visible with all background colors. Most times I've use a glass clock they suck for one background but look good on another. I'm shooting for a happy medium.
Worked some more tonight and I think I have what I want.
I would like some feed back as to whether you guys would like anything changed.
IE
lighter numbers(more transparent) or darker numbers
lighter or darker backgrounds for the flip tabs
lighter or darker overall background
270+ views... I guess everybody is trouble free and liking it?

You are turning off Sense before installing correct. Do you have CDMA or GSM? As for it being uninstallable I guess I could see what I can do but really you are replacing manila files with new ones. The only way I could possible make it removable would be to have it copy and store the originals before it installed. I have no idea whether that is even possible.

Max Manila 2.7 beta
Well I worked on the Max2.7 mod a bit tonight. At this point I'm wondering whether I should just do a full glass mod for it.
I have a gsm , it kills my slider and the clock is not installed only thing to re-pare it is to hardreset.
after I hardreset I will install it on the clean rom.
so I did a hard reset and it is still the same , slider icons are gone and at the end of the slider (settings) the slider is also gone .
need to to a hardreset one more time.
could jou post the manila files?

What ROM? Are you sure it's 1921+ version of the 2.5 port? The clock files I used should be the stock manila files for 1921+ port. I can post up the files in a zip I guess.

when I copy the manila files I have no problems whit the slider but stil no clock.
I will do a hardreset and test it again .

Ah good old Energy ROM. That is your answer right there. His tweaks mess with so much stuff there is no telling whats going on there.
