I've modified a couple of files for the Resco Keyboard Pro iSkin layout. As I never used the "AZ" language switching key I changed that button to make it a full stop "." instead. It was only a simple ini file edit, but I thought others might prefer it this way too so I've attached them to this post if you're in the same position as me and were just fed up of switching screens to type a full stop. Makes it a lot easier for typing in web addresses, etc. I also changed the colour of the button slightly. Works for portrait and landscape mode.
Just copy them to your /program files/resco.../skins/iSkin directory on your device (or wherever else you may have installed your program) and replace the files. Keep backups of your originals just in case.
I've only tested this out with the pro version 5.11, hopefully it will work with others too.

You have to fully overwrite all files in that folder with the files from the zip.

All you do is edit the PNG images to what you want displayed, then edit the ini in the sections "Default" and "Default_L" (for landscape mode). It was trial and error for me to find the correct key but it didn't take long to do. Just keep backups of your originals.
For example 33=114,42,29,27 33 is the key and the 114,42,29,27 part are the co-ordinates onscreen. If all you are doing is changing what the key displays then all you need to change are the first numbers, in this case 33.
Sorry I can't be much help on it now as I've sold my kaiser.

Er... I think it's, press .?123 then shift key, should show up then. Like I say I don't have the kaiser any more so I can't check this for you.

Many thanks for your answer, in the .?123 keboard there is no shift key as you can see in the attached screen picture.
My question is is this iskin made by a person who wanted to develop the Resco keyboard who was not using this sign and forgot it ? Because I cannot belive that Resco would have made such a mistake.

I'm also interested in this. Who wants to hear a piano when you slide your keyboard out? Though it could have been worse... maybe a crying baby or a dog barking. Talk about irrelevant sfx. I guess a quick hack would be just to locate and replace your Piano sound effect file.
On my HTC TyTN II its simple.

Maybe this is different with AT&T ROM.

That lets you pick from a set of three defaults .. I want to choose my own wave files.
Also, I've found the soundfiles, but I can't replace them because they're set as system files.
Found those 3 defaults by the way:

Still, its a bit of a mess to do it, you'd think you could just pick the files from a menu, perhaps thats something for version 2.
Well, im still an amatuer programmer and have yet to touch c++, or whatever ppc uses. You guys can ask that tweak guy to implement it in his program, that would be awesome.

i have resco file explorer and registry editor could you tell me how to make the reg file so i could make them for future keyboard slide .wav clips
Well use windows to do it not ur ppc.
notepad-> copy the stuff he has -> change the name(s) -> save as -> name.reg

Wow, excellent app. Credit to JUVS again. Only issue with it is the app opens in landscape mode, but the way for a Hermes, not a Kaiser. It's "upside down" on a Kaiser. Any way to adjust that via a setting? But still even with that, I've already replaced my Pictures Album shortcut on the Start menu
EDIT: NVM, I guess the intent is to view it from the same landscape mode that you would use the camera. Again, its not a big deal, just a little counter-intuitive...I'll deal with it either way. This is very slick stuff...

the program works inconjuction with the camera, if you camera is set to save photo to memory card, all photo from memory card will show up, it doesn't matter whether has create multiple folder.

when viewing a picture

make a full BIG circle clockwise will zoom in a small bit
make a full BIG circle counter clockwise will zoom out a small bit
make a full small circle clockwise will zoom in a lot
make a full small circle counter clockwise will zoom out a lot
dragging left to right goes to next picture
dragging right to left goes to previous picture
press and hold brings up to pan so if it's zoomed you can move around
single tap brings up a menu
all that I've figured out so far
open the program, and click open one photo, you can either tap the screen twice or just press the center button in the d pad to bring out a menu, press the letter I for more info on how to rotate, zoom and change photo.

ive just received my htc s730 and the first thing ive mentioned is that it isnt possible to scroll through the startmenu with the 5-way-key.(just the "more" button is available)

When (and if) you arrive on the idea that this isn't possible here's a solution:
1) reg hack to replace softkey with program
2) program open File Explorer to folder
3) populate folder with .lnk files (shortcuts)

Edit HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Shell/StartMenu/Order to list the items you want to appear on the first screens.
In portrait mode there are 9 icons, so the 5th item is the one with the focus when you press the Start softkey. On screen 2 it will be the 14th in the list, etc.
This is my edited list:

you've perhaps missunderstood my problem.
when i open the startmenu on my s710, i can scroll trough the whole startmenu with my 5-way-nav-buttons, in fact i have a scrollbar on the right side.
But if i open the startmenu on my s730, i can just move between the 9 icons which are showed, if i want to scroll down (see the other icons), i'll have to press the left action button (the function is labled as "more")

I didnt even know that there is a s710 without wm6,
but mine is one with wm6

you can export your whole registry of each phone, then use a program like reg cool or examdiff or regsnap to compare them.

i was also thinking of making oversized backward and forward buttons so that the entire bottom is white aswell..
arg.... maybe not.. i just tried.. and its to goofy for me to keep my atention with image sizes and being able to have it centered (cuz the press graphic has to be in the centere.
so i know there would be alot of empty spaces... alot of trial and error with image sizes ... cuz it puts the buttongs in weird places when you change there sizes.

just download it and look in the folder! i think the s2u2 play buttons are still basic, also stbutton.png.

well now i tested.. the graphics will work if you replace the gfx files for s2u2 with the files i have there.
Inesoft Phone 7 Carbon Dialer Skin for WVGA devices.
3 Versions with the Default CALL and SMS icons and with CUSTOM Icons and some Titanium Carbo look.
To use this Skin simple copy and replace the atached DialerResVga.dll file into ProgramFiles/Inesoft Phone.
And SOFT RESET your device.

Download the SKIN again if you already do it because i do some minor changes the call button was not centered now all is fine
I´m using Inesoft Phone for a long time. To my opinion a "Must have". They improved their graphics, but with your skin it´s really fantastic. Thank you very much. 2 Questions:
1. is it possible to make it just one background bar with Call/sms button. Carbon Graphic isnt full continuous (hope you understand me). I mean you see its 2 Graphics. In the top bar you cant see it.
2. I´m motorcyclist. Is it possible to change the "1" "_" button and add an "ICE" token, because this would really help in any "Case of Emergency".

Everything is posible Dude now i drink today alot of Black beers so really cannot do anything BUT absolutly everything is posible i just need to modife the .dll file write me one PM what you want and how you want to look the dialer.

No special whishes, i think it´s an option in Resco Contact Manager. Tried to show what i mean, but I think the graphic in horrible (windows paint).

This is a skin. You need to install Inesoft phone Dialler into your phone 1st & then use this skin.
Get it from here: http://www.inesoft.com/eng/index.php?in=download.html
Then read the 1st post....

You made a very nice job with this skin, and I suppose it's the same way to modify messages.
I tried to translate texte and buttons on inesoftphone but I don't succeed.
If I download files from my HD and make modifications with PE.Explorer, when I upload back to my Touch HD, it doesn't work.
If I extract the cab of the soft, modify files, and make new cab, I can't install it, error installation.
Could you tell me how you proceed to make changes on Inesoftphone, and what software you use.
