On a side note, I've noticed lately that a lot of people are forgetting one of the most important rules to follow at XDA. That, being respect. Please remember that everyone here are from all different corners of the world with completely different backgrounds than your own. Have patience and be a bit more tolerant for those struggling with the the english language, as it probably is not their primary tongue. Help out if you can. If you can't, please remember what I mentioned before you post any reply. It will make everyone's experience here more comfortable and enjoyable.

Thanks of heart, my English is not good, but I think the network is for everyone.
At least in Htcmania (Spanish Forum) and anyone is welcome no matter the language. the important thing is to share information, so that among all get something better.
But there is always someone who thinks it is better to speak one language or another

I suppose you would like "non-whites" to use separate drinking fountains and sit at the back of the bus also. Research a little history before posting something so racist and discriminatory. Anyone, regardless of native language, color, class, or sexual orientation has the right to learn. It is not okay for people such as yourself to attempt to intimidate others, simply for not speaking English.

i think he want download any rom but as his internet speed (slow) he is not able to download it and he wana any other site owner upload there and where he can download by resume option

We all do what we can, but in real life we can use hands and feet, tone of voice as well as facial expressions to get our messages across. Here all we have is text and some smileys.
Anyhow it would help a lot in cases like this if uploaders would use less Rapidshare and more mirror download sites.

Well, as you noticed I DID answer your question, and also pointed you politely towards the Search facility which, as you have noticed, would have given you the answer and would spare people from answering the same questions again and again, which is a waste of time and also unnecessarily clogs this forum.
However, I do not take kindly to verbal abuse and to the kind of language you seem to be using here. Once people get beyond the mental age of 10 they usually start talking a different language.
Please remind me not to help you next time.

i know you did help and i said thanks... but seriously, it was an honest mistake. and i did eventually find it. and i apologize for the language, but i just get tired of hearing "use the search button"... you want to not use up so much space on the forum, but yet you reply with "search button, search button." just gets a little old is all. if its that big of a deal, then don't bother to be a person that helps people. you should probably give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes.
Although I'm a great opposer of the "reply with 'search!'"-mentality seen around here, pedmond was so kind to take the time to answer your question ánd correct you on your mistake instead of just flaming the hell out of you. He was being anything but the search-Nazi you're making him out to be.
If this'd be a forum of mine, I'd have you slapped and on moderation for a week. There's not agreeing and arguing about it and there's plain verbal abuse.
In any case, glad you found your stuff, and lower your temper a bit. Your kind of replies makes a forum a better place as much as those guys with their search-syndrome do.

- he's not well-mannered : no Hi, no please, no thanks => I guess there's no need to explain you this, don't you say Hi, thanks or have a good day to whoever's helping you ? Plus, 2 lines badly written and sent in a hurry...
- he didn't even took some time to search and this is pure flood : I'll let you count how many "HTC apps to AOSP posts" there's, including kind people to waste time and answer...
- both of these too points are against XDA's rules, nothing more.
I'm fine about the fact there'll still be people against rules, or thinking they're sometimes above us/rules and if you don't get it, that's still fine, you'll be happy to stumble upon tons of flood looking for help

Well, I've seen that we have lots of Spanish speakers here having hard times so I decided to create a blog where I'll post everything in Spanish.
I'll probably also use some topics of the forum, translate them to Spanish and everything, and give the proper credits.
I just wanna help these guys out.
There isn't much there yet, just starting out with the whole unlocking bootloader thing, but I'm working hard on it.
Remember: I don't speak Spanish. I'm a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker, which is quite similar but not the same, so I used Google Translator most of the time and yes there are lots of mistakes.
Also, don't talk to me in Spanish. It kinda freaks me out. I know it's random but I get lost so if you want to PM me or anything please speak either in Portuguese or English. PLEASE stop sending me messages in Spanish. Thank you!
I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I suppose it's alright since lots of Spanish speakers are ending up with dead phones for following this forum's threads without understanding them.

lol - as long as you can speak good Spanish, you can mix English words all you want.
All my posts in the blog are in Spanish anyways, just need someone to get the "hey I used Google Translator" thing out of the texts. Some things I can see that are wrong, and sometimes I can even catch what's wrong but don't know how to fix it. Would have to go through a lot of Grammar and I just don't have the time.

oh it's just that Spanish speakers flood us with talking I get soooo lost, I went on an exchange once to Ireland and my school had lots of Spanish girls and geez they speak really fast, I get quite upset.
lol and after I told them I could understand them, they wouldn't speak English to me anymore.
that's why I got this trauma. =P
anyways, do you think you could like write a tutorial on how to flash your ROM? think it'd be awesome, and you know I'm a great fan of VJRaider

oh, I was thinking exactly that.
I think I'll work on the General Knowledge thread tomorrow. I can do both Spanish and Portuguese.
I was also thinking of expanding this blog idea to Portuguese, anyways. although HTC Vivid isn't sold here or anything, people here travel a lot and we see it already on online stores such as our *poor* version of eBay.
Also, think would be a good publicity, it's a great phone and we barely hear of HTC here. When I mention I switched from an iPhone to this phone, everyone goes like "are you insane? HTC sucks" & stuff.
Also thinking about some YouTube stuff in the future.

When you're born in an English-speaking country, it's so easy for you, but it's really hard for non-native speakers. We can check the words meanings on dictionaries, but most of the time it's just useless.

Because it's forbidden to write in other language other than English, well you can do it but you have to write first in English then in whatever other language you want.
So in other words... your post is against XDA policies...

It may be their first post but they successfully managed to find their devices forum and find a rom they want to install. It would the surely make sense to ask either in that thread or in any part of that devices forum.
