calltime app or widget?? - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Hi everyone i just wanted to know if there is an app or widget that shows the timestamp of a missed, dialed or recieved call because on the standard call log it gives just the date as either today or yesterday, its just that i've missed a few important calls and i dont know what time the people have rang, i've been trying search for something in market but havent found anything.
Thanks in advance
edit: It's ok i found an app that does the job its called star contact and its free on the market if anyone else needs it.

The widget is called Call log and it's free on the market

Any app to Block Unknown Callers?

Im on T-Mobile with the G1, and I would like to block Unknown calls from coming through, its very annoying, and I dont wanna change my number, I just want them rejected, is there an app, or even a hack of some kind that can accomplish this for me, I would really appreciate any info on this.

go to youmail.com sign up they have an option to block unknown calls
head up to trapcall.com and sign up for the flytrap service. It's free and will allow you to bounce unknown numbers, give you their actual caller ID and then if you so choose you can go online to blacklist them from ever calling again. They will hear a "the number you have dialed is no longer in service" message.
works like a charm, and free is always cool. They offer more features but with an additional monthly fee.
Thanks for the tip on trapcall, it's a great service. I was actually looking for something to forward unknown calls to my voicemail so I never have to deal with them. Does anyone know of an app that can do this?

Call and SMS blocker.
I don't know if the applications are supported anymore. Someone was looking for them a few weeks ago and I saved the attachments in case I'd ever want them.
Let me know if they still work?

I've been looking everywhere for callblocker. I am about to test it out now, thank you so much. I'll let you know if it works out.
Well after installing the app I realize that the unknown block feature isn't exactly what I was looking for. In the about dialog it explains that it will block anyone that isn't in your contacts list. While that will cover restricted calls, it will also block people calling from random phone numbers. I just want to forward restricted calls to voicemail or drop them altogether. Anyway thanks again for the post, this has put my mind to ease now that I know what that app was all about. I wonder how hard it would be to code an app that forwarded restricted calls to the voicemail. Seems like it should be fairly simple.

Trapcall works great but the only thing I didn't really like was there voicemail service I use PF voicemail and you cant use them both
I install tCallblocking app this morning and haven't had an unknown caller all day.
youmail
I second youmail. It blows phonefusion away and is much more customizable. And no annoying text message. The only thing is it doesn't really block them from calling but it stops them from being able to leave a msg, gives them a greeting you choose, such as the number has been disconnected or doesn't accept calls etc. Totally the best vmail app around.
I found an app to block restricted calls, actually sends them to voicemail but that is exactly what I wanted with trapcall. It's called tcallblocking, search for it in the market if you are interested.
Just saw previous post about tcallblocking, so basically what I'm saying is, this app rocks.

Edit: It seems like I need to read the original post thoroughly. Sorry for polluting this thread!
Can I use the Caller Blocking Application on this website for the G1?

Damn, would be nice if I could get the source for them, would really like to look into them.
tCallBlock on JAChero 2.7.3
Have had this installed for a couple of days now and works great. Will notify you of missed call from unknown but phone never rings. Also forwards straight to voicemail. I'm happy with it! No more UNKNOWN calls for me. Hope this helps.
Block unknown callers straight to voicemail
Hello everyone, the app is call tcall blocking lite is on the android market
enjoy it!!!!!
Youmail and Unknown Contact
Youmail works best for this. And its best VM app out there. I just set this option and should know in few days if actually works. Not sure how to test it out since I dont have a land line to do *67 from. Tested from phone of friend...he did *67 and it says Unknown but still phone rings and have to drag up to decline it before they hear "This person does not accept blocked calls...blah blah blah". So after adding the unknown contact from gmail contacts and letting it sync, I set to block call. So now it does not ring at all

Timestamp on SMS-messages?

This might be a very stupid question, but how can I see when I received an SMS? As long as they were sent/received today there is no problem, but for earlier days all I get is the date or 'yesterday'.
If I'm out on town and check my hero for messages at 00:01 it is kind of important if the message "Hi, I'm at xyz-bar, meet me there!" was received at 23:59 or 19:30...
Yeh i have same problem... Only workaround i could think of was install an app like HandCent SMS - that does exactly what u want...
/Smirge
I missed this functionality too so been using handcent sms for the last month or so and does the job nicely. Just make sure you turn off the default messaging app auto retrival so you dont get the same message notified in each app.
Thanks guys, handcent seems to do the job just fine, while displaying the actual date and time!
If you don't like Handcent, there's also something called SMS Time Fix or something along those lines.

Auto Reply SMS App?

I'm looking for a simple app on android I cant seem to find, basically, I want to start using my google voice number, so any time someone sends a sms to my phone I want to auto reply "please us this number from now on...."
But it seems like there are no apps that do just that? Or maybe I'm just missing something. Thanks all.
Wouldnt mind if it delete the original message after replying either
Try a quick search in the market for "auto sms". Hope its what ur looking for.

For the most part, that should work perfectly. I'm using the google voice number so I only have to carry my work phone. No way I can get that app to delete the text messages people send to me, basically making it just reply a message and delete the inbox?
I'd recommend Tasker. It's a paid app, but is easily worth the money. With it you could set up your phone to forward the message to your google voice number, send the response to the person, and then remove the message from your phone.
Tasker is an extremely useful app that lets you do just about anything you can think of with your phone, what i've suggested is just the very tip of the iceberg.

[Q] Multiple SMS threads with same contact

I have an issue that comes up randomly. I noticed that sometimes when i send or receive a text message that there is a chance that it will create a new thread. So basically i have 2 ongoing text message threads with some of my contacts. This happens often when creating a new message, sometimes when i receive a reply, and rarely (but still happens) when replying to a thread. Replying to a thread is the weirdest one because i type and hit send and suddenly all the messages disappear as it created a new thread, or all the messages change since it threw me into the other ongoing thread.
Is this supposed to be a feature? At first I thought it dealt with a setting I saw where after 3 minutes it can stop grouping messages or something like that. I can't seem to find the option now. But i use GO SMS Pro and saw this 'bug' (as i see it) before i installed GO and now the issue is mirrored both in GO and the native android text messaging app. Is there any way to turn this off? I just want all my texts for one contact in one thread in the order they were sent/received.
I haven't encountered this, but I installed handcent the first day I had my phone and haven't looked back.
sent from my ROOTED DROID3 from the XDA app
I remember reading about someone else having this same problem, never happened to me tho.
Yeah like i said i dont think its the 3rd party app since i see the same exact thing in the native app. I'm worried about rooting and freezing the service before i can fix it, for now anything that goes wrong i can switch back and forth to try and trouble shoot or try and find the root cause. do the 3rd party apps just pull info from the native android app or do they receive the messages separately?
I had this problem. Turns out somehow the phone number was copied and it was under mobile and home. There was a sms thread for the home and a thread for the mobile but since they were the same number it took me a while to figure out. Hope that helps. Deleting one of the numbers will stop it. At least it did for me

I have this issue occasionally too. Although I noticed that the number format was different. One would include country code and the other thread was just area code and number
Sent from my XT860 using XDA App
Same issue here, with the stock app, with just one person.
I can only find one iteration of the number so I have no idea how to remedy it.

same here, most of my contacts i only have a mobile number saved in the first place. its not so much frustrating as it is just kind of weird. i can still text fine but it would be nice to have it all together.

The preinstalled widget on nulls rom that says "Direct Message"......I can get Direct Call to work but when i press on the direct message widget it takes me to Titanium backup form some reason....
as far as i know, you can't message from gear yet. direct dial do work, but not messaging.
Direct messaging ? I dont recall anything like this..
You sure you didnt have AOSP messages installed or something ? Cause I didnt include anything related to texts/messages..
If i look in my available widgets i also have an option for direct message. When i put it on the desktop with a contact selected it just says "App isn't installed". I'm assuming that direct dial only works if you have gearmanager installed on your phone? I tried to setup a contact and it just shows the dialing screen and doesn't do anything on the phone.

Could be apart of contacts in that case.. must includes a direct message widget also.
The direct dial should work fine, when the gear initiates a call it makes it on the host phone.

I believe it is. There is a direct message and a direct dial widget right next to each other.
I still have the issue where when I select either of them my contacts come up blank. I have contacts on the watch, they just do not show on that widget. They used to.
Any ideas?

I tried the direct dial, worked fine.. make sure you add your contacts to the aosp contacts app in your app drawer it does not pull your contacts from your phone.
Although direct message does not work.. I believe because there is no messaging app installed.

Odd post. Didn't mean that...I will try to figure out how to do that. May have been a fluke but I never had to add them. They all just came over...

Yeah i understand what your saying about having not messaging app installed but i thought maybe it would be possible to give you the option to send a predefined message or s voice message. For some reason when I click on it it opens Titanium Backup. not a huge deal just thought it would be cool to click on the widget and send an s voice message or predefined message I had saved

Thats weird man, no idea what could be causing that.. In reality nothing has changed in that department since the last update..
In regards to predefined text replys, I believe there is a APK Samsung have included for this already.. In theory if we could call that popup in a app, perhaps you could select a reply...
Im just spit balling tho, I haven't tested or even looked at it yet.
If you want to see what im talking about create a shortcut using novalauncher to "Select reply".
EDIT: Decided to have a look of the source of the reply apk I mentioned, sadly thats not going to work ! Back to the drawing board.
