I came upon this keyboard yesterday, and loved it... apart from one thing. It works perfectly except it's distorted. I'm guessing it was made for a different resolution than our Vogue's?
I'm also wondering if anyone has a version that looks good on the Vogue?

Someone can correct me if i'm wrong but I think eclair builds are using that keyboard?
Also, Plemen's might be too.
i have several versions to try but i cant get the keyboard to change after i install it. i even went into settings and checked touch input. what am i doing wrong

If you have the default keyboard open, hold down on the "?123? and select "Input Method" when it pops up.
Or, hold down on any text field and the same menu should pop up.
Then just select the new keyboard.
I have this keyboard and it works great! Plus on myn's build the vibration is increased somehow

thanks for that. 3 out of 4 versions forced closed on me and the one that did work has the distortion like you mentioned. sorry

No, it's not from myn's. There are a bunch of different versions. Try searching HTC_IME on the forums or on Google.
I believe it's made for 320x480, so I'm looking for a 240x360 version. Unfortunately I've had no luck.
I think if someone could get it out of a Sense 240x360 (Tattoo?) build it would work perfectly.
I can get you HTC_IME from Vilrod's SenseTattoo build, but it is not deodexed and I am not sure which framework file do I need to provide for it work on Google Donut.

Just noticed that the link I gave is not exactly the same, there is no "bar" on the right side of the battery meter (see pic below).
I installed it anyway on my Kaiser, looks and work great .

Thanks for the find, this one works ok. Have you noticed it changes the E for edge to 3G? Weird thing to build in...

Actually I noticed something else! I noticed it installed in fact new layouts for the call history as well as for the PIN dialpad :O ! It looks nice but was unexpected.
THe icon change, I would have to look into it .

I had to uninstall this app, it changed way to many things other than just the battery meter. Still on the search for the one in the Viet ROM.

Maybe it's my device, but when I try to uninstall this, it freezes. I launch the uninstall process, I see the top bar disappearing as it's being removed, then freezes. After soft reset, the top bar is still.
EDIT: ok, after removing the BatteryLevel.exe from the startup folder, softreseting, then trying to uninstall, it worked because the .exe was not in use anymore

Im using the energyrom on my htc touch pro, and sofar its brilliant! Its the fastest rom ive ever used with all the goodies. So i will definitely try this! Just a quick question: is it possible to still use the x-panels function? So create a tab with the HTC menu and one with the wm6.5 menu?

Found some minor bugs:
*In the contact list (when pressing 'all people' in the htc menu), i can use the x1's joystick to scroll around, but i cant open a contact without using the touch screen. So pressing down on the joystick doenst open a contact.
*And second, when opening the 'me' contact, i can edit it just fine with the onscreen keyboard. But when i slide the x1's keyboard open, it closes the contact and goed back to the contact list. When i have the keyboard open and i open the contact, theres no problem.
* Theres something wrong with the keyboard layout, when typing a tekst, i cant figure out how to use the numbers on the keyboard. When using the blue function key + '?' i should get '#', but instead i get '3'. This is the case with every number, so can only use the onscreen keyboard.
* When typing a tekst, and pressing the 'sym' key, it returns to the inbox (message is saved as draft)

I had this issue not from the beginning with my topaz. Maybe caused by changes with HD Tweak?

No, I'm using the original ROM.
Somestimes the square disappears for a while, then comes back, e.g. after launching opera, album view. Where does it come from?
I already asked for this.
The problem is: Finger Keyboard 2.1
The solution is very easy: you just need to set "show bar" on the option screen of FK to resolve this problem

Indeed I'm using FK 2.1. Will try your solution and will give feedback here.
Questions:
1. Both bars in portrait and landscape mode?
2. Do the authors of FK know about this issue? Or should I tell them?
And : How did you get this solution - wouldn't have thought of FK for this issue ...
edit: Seems to work. Square disappears immediately after changing the option in FingerKeyboard. Will keep on watching ....

If i remember correctly i found the solution in the Finger keyboard 2.1 thread, here in xda.
I don't remember who wrote it...i just searched for it when i had this problem and asked for a solution in this forum.

idk if the apk on that link works anymore.....I've been working on this a lot today and I got it to the point where it just FCs when you try to open a thread. It's one of the xml files I can either color the text inside the bubbles or put a background on the main page of the app.

Also, I know what is causing the Force closes I just don't understand why it is causing them. I can either make the back ground in the main part of the app black or change the text color inside the threads. I'm going to work with it tonight and prolly just leave the text color black inside the thread and come up with a different color for the bubbles

So I am looking to do one simple thing to the phone change the hardware buttons I have been an android user since the vibrant came out and have gotten use to how the buttons were laid out I am having a lot of trouble with the new layout the note 5 has. I am looking for a program like activator on iOS so I can remap them or if someone can give me a hand and remap them I just want the old-style back are to be able to customize them so when I hold the home button it doesn't bring up some Google search it brings up S Voice or even the android search functionality what it brings up now is some newsfeed with a Google search at the top I would also like it for the old back and menu buttons to be the same as well as the task manager assignment to be the same please help

One way that's pretty simple and is (usually) effective, is to go to /system/usr/keylayout, open Generic.kl with a text editor, and just manually make your changes.
Make sure to backup the original file first, then in your text editor, look for MENU, APP_SWITCH, SEARCH, etc...
Say you want the key that currently opens recent apps to instead be a menu key, you'd find where APP_SWITCH is currently assigned, and replace it with MENU.
After you've made your changes, make sure the file's permissions are set to rw-r--r--, and reboot. I can't guarantee this will work, as I don't own this device, but it's always worked for me on other Samsung devices, and if not, well, that's why you backed up the original file.
