Is it possible to add wallpapers to the NON ROOTFS so they're already there when you install??? I do not see where they would go, such as media/audio/alarms for example.

i believe you would have to edit an apk to include them in the rom itself. I may be wrong but you can put them on your sd card and they will always be there no matter what rom you install

yes and yes, you would have to create thumbs and add them to the launcher.apk. or just put them in a folder on your sd card and mediascanner will find them on boot and add them to your gallery app.

My wallys have never been added to the gallery automatically on startup. I put them in a folder called "wallpapers" on my sd.

mediascanner should find them anywhere you put them on your card. You do have to reboot though after putting them on there or it will not find them. My gallery shows every picture i have on my sd card. like 3000 pics from different wm themes i have on there(kinds annoying) i need to get rid of some stuff, but it will always put the newest added by date at the top of the list.

Yeah I was confused. I thought ms meant the built in wallpaper gallery. Yeah the gallery is semi-annoying it even shows album art.

I'm using a full functioning rom except that I can't get into the themes store do you think that you could upload a theme from the store I'm getting tired of the palazzo, nest (what's up with the creepy birds looking at you) and so fourth. Please and thankyou

I realized that you have to have wifi off to access the theme site. My wifi is always on and that's why it never worked for me.

That sucks there is probably a way around this but I don't know you might have to at least have tmobile service and your buildprop must say that your phone is the tmo slide.
On another note lyrical ink is badass.

You can change your lock screen picture by going into galary, picking a picure, click menu>set as>lock screen. re-size it and save!

Huh? oh I think you misunderstand or I mistyped I don't have a mytouch slide I'm using a rooted hero with a mytouch slide rom on it. Everything works like a slide but I can't access the themes store. So me and anyone who's using the rom are hoping that people will upload the apks for us.

Can we get a wallpaper thread started? I think the wallpaper dimensions of the Captivate are different from other phones right? Also.. how do i go about deleting the stock wallpapers, and adding some to replace them?
You can download or put an image in the sd card. Open it up in Gallery, Select Menu, More, Set As
You can then set as Wallpaper (or Contact Icon) and it'll even give you a scaling box for cropping to the correct dimensions.

Dimensions
I think the wallpaper dimensions for the crop are ratios of 6:5. So that means 720x600 will fill up the entire crop box, as will 1080x900. Of course you do not have to use these dimensions for your wallpapers but then you get parts of it left out. Just what I have found playing around with it on my own. Hope that helps.

there is a great app in the marketplace called, Backgrounds
its pretty much a full easy access web search of a ton of wallpapers, you can change category, apply directly from the app, or save the image and apply it later. I recommend you check it out.

wallpapers aren't actually stored in any directory they're actually in the app.
go fond the stock Rom and extract it.
go to the /system/app directory and find the home app.
it'll be in a .apk format
you can rename it to .zip and extract it.
the wallpaper will be somewhere in there
I use this picture as my background. I took it while in afghanistan.

That looks like the Launcher Pro without the gradient.
Anyway I +1 the Zedge suggestion. It's got some great ones, especially some darker looking ones that show off the Super AMOLED quite nicely

Soon after I posted, I looked at your other work as well and now I think I'm going to try to make a wp7 look. lol When I do switch back to just using LauncherPro (I change my phone's look a lot) I'd use these icons though.

Hey guys, Thought I'd make a nice geeky bootanimation that shows off the hardware in the XOOM at the same time.
Since I havn't got my XOOM yet I have only tested it on the emulator so the timing may need adjusting but let me know what you all think. Hope you like...

You can copy it to your device by entering the directory wit hthe bootanimation.zip, make sure you have adb setup and perform the following command:

Alternatively if you have a file manager just copy it to your SD card and paste it from there. (Probably need Root for this method).

You have to change the mSD to µSD though or people might mistake it

Heh, good idea though, but I don't think i'll make the efffort to reacreate all 100 images for the micro sign when there is so little interest.
I'v fixed the timing and will upload that later, maybe even a screenshot of the full page with text so it's not mistaken.

This is a simple app for NOVA (v7 mainly) that lets you manually check and see the 3 things you can receive in NOVA via d2u interface, whenever you want in case you missed the message or you want to check if new themes are available. There are the 3 tabs for:
·Messages (sent by knzo)
·Theme Updates alert/log
·NOVA Updates alert

Actually there is no v15. The file was created to be launched when theme updates (tomorrow or so). So no v15 yet. Just edited the updates.html.

Yes you can, is one of the purposes of this app in case you want to disable d2u (wich I love and I'm excited for, but I understand ot everyone will like the background service)
