[Skin] Thumbcal - Barreto Sense (W)VGA Portrait/Landscape - Windows Mobile Themes

Hi!
I decided to make a skin for Thumbcal that is inspired on HTC´s Sense and GTX layout. I really didn´t like the standart botton bar icons of the program, so I made new ones also.
I tested this skin on Thumbcal versions 1.3.5 and 1.4.1. They work pretty well on them. Tested on my Touch HD.

Download (W)VGA
Download (W)QVGA Contribution: sergiorus and Lumic
Please, do not make any mirrors for the skin. You may share the above link, if you like.
How to install:
Copy the file skin.Barreto Sense.zip to Thumbcal folder. Open Thumbcal and select the skin via Settings menu. Do not unzip the file, put it as you downloaded on Thumbcal folder.
I suggest also selecting through Settings menu the Helvetica Neue 35 Thin font.
If you liked this skin, feel free to make a donation via Paypal. Trust me, it was really hard to find out how to skin the botton icons. So, all you have to do is click on the "Donate" button below. Buy me a couple cups of coffee
Any sugestions, please post here.

By taskbar you mean the Top bar? It´s designed for WM6.5.x and it´s not for Thumbcal.
All the rest is ok?

Pwease support QVGA.

Just discovered ThumbCal today and your great theme. Works great on my Imagio. Thanks a ton!

Beautiful! Thanks so much.

I´m glad you liked. (W)QVGA support is not intended by now... let the number of downloads grow so that justifies the hard work. Thanks for the comprehension.

But i am using ur skin in qvga without any problems and i am loving it

nimrodity, can you post any screenshot of how it looks on your device? I could update the post if it works on qvga.
Danke!!

of course,here they are

Thank you! The only difference is the botton bar, which isn´t the one I designed. It´s the original one.
As soon as I have time, I could post a (w)qvga for some beta testers. Interested post here and I´ll send PM´s when the beta skin is ready.
Thanks.

Looking good

I tried to use the theme in QVGA, and it seems to be fine! Just no bottom bar icons.
I'd be interested in BETA testing, I've been using ThumbCal for too long without a decent skin.
Was wondering what font you are using in your screenshots?

Just wondering in your screen shots you have a wheel effect for when setting the time or date. I'm using thumbcal 1.4.1 with your skin on my hd2 and don't seem to have that wheel effect but would love to have it.

Yes, there is the wheel effect. You can set this on the Settings menu (Time input: Wheel or Keypad).

May I put this skin onto my website? Of course I would link to your download URL, if you want.

beaituful.. and faster than the other skins for some reason
I love your icontact skin. Any chance you can reverse the colors though? White background,black lettering,Black buttons. Also, the call history screen is a bit cramped with the time over the phone icons. Perhaps the icons can be moved to the left side.
Thanks!
+1 beautifull thanks Lycox

good idea.. changing icon colors.
Updated for BE 6.3 (currently beta). See first post - as usual
Hi,
the skin files are written to the icontact-root, but since Burts Version 6.2 they have to be in the "Themes" folder.

Any chance you would do also a vga version? Thanks a lot for your great skinning (also for vexed)

Sorry for the delay, I just forgot to answer (cheesy brain, you know? )
In fact, that I don't own a VGA device I won't do a skin for that resolution. Sorry man... But if you interessted in making it (or somebody else), PM me and I'll give you my original gfx file.
Okay, but now some good news. I've updated my skin for BE 6.3 RC

I converted your Diamond QVGA skin to VGA, but also did some changes (for my own). But I would love if you could send me the orginal files instead, which would look better than just resizing I guess. If you can send those files I could make a VGA version.
@Lycox
Many thanks for the update! I love your skin!
Added VGA version of the skin. Thx Lennie for resizing and testing
@lycox
Don't know if you already realized it, but the small triangle for the smart dialing number is sometimes covered by the icons for business number/home number?!
Is this a thing of skinning?

People, just let me know if you find any issues using the VGA skin. There is a chance I might have missed testing a part of it. There are many numbers to change in the configuration file

Thanks, does look really good in VGA
edit: It works well, but I would love to make some little graphical changes... Starflake do you have some psd files, or whatever you have been doing your icons in? If you are willing to share, I would appreciate them!
Thanks

Despite all the user's different opinions and all the device's shortcomings I really love my Touch Pro and I really love its TouchFLO 3D. Default Windows Mobile locking/unlocking issues are well known to this community. S2U2 (Slide2Unlock2) is doing great but its Default skin doesn't go well with my Touch Pro's looks. So I decided and built from scratch a skin that uses graphics from device's official interface. And decided to share it with this great community.

Thanks so much for this man. Just got done testing it out and your theme is sweet!! Also, you seem to be the only one to successfully get the s2e arrows to work. I, along with a few others, had been experiencing distortion with our s2e arrows ever since the .52 update, but yours works perfectly. So ironically, even though I asked you to post your gfx folder so I could use some elements, I ended up using about 90%!!! Can't help it, it looks so smooth. Thanks again.
This theme is wonderful! Thank you demonizator.

[THEME] Four custom Slider-Icon-Sets plus two Slider

In another thread I've been asked for my "Black Sticker Icon Sliders"
So I decided to post it here.
Many thanks to maranell0 for his fantastic "Slider Icon Editor".
The source of Icons are from http://dryicons.com. The Program-Tab-Icon is made by me.

Here are three other little Slider-Icon-Sets I've made.
The source of the Icons of "Luna Grey" and "Blue Velvet", are from http://dryicons.com, too.
As requested, I've made a this slider with a more "optimistic" Weather Icon. "Luna Grey Slider Icons (Sunny1).cab" contains the Slider with a sun instead of the umbrella.
I was searching for some smaller Sliders.
I found two very nice ones in a old Diamond-Theme made by Zitoun.
I've had extracted them and made a cab of it.

Yes. it is 100% compatible with TF3D 2.1, I run yozgatg's R1.5, too.
It also works on the old TF3D (tested today with a Touch HD).
I updated the Thread with two nice fitting sliders.
I found them in a old Diamond-Theme made by Zitoun.

[02MAY] Livven GTX S2U2 [RELEASED]

As I prefer S2U2 over the 6.5 lockscreen anyway, I decided to do some skinning for it. Here's the first version of Livven GTX S2U2.

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
First go to S2U2 Settings > Theme > Save Theme to export your current theme, so you can revert to it (just in case). Then download the CAB appropriate for your resolution and install it. Then start the S2U2 settings app, and tap on Save, without changing anything. Now S2U2 is restarted and fits with the excellent GTX theme.
Note: The notification icons are not skinned yet, but I took the ones from the tPro skin. This will be addressed in the next update.
You are not allowed to modify any graphics or other resources that come with this, nor are you allowed to distribute (upload) it anywhere else. Instead, always link to this thread. If you want to cook this into your ROM, you have to ask for explicit permission by posting in this thread and providing a link to your ROM. Thanks.

Great!
So beautiful! I think that i`ll check for call and text more often from now on.
And... a big thank you!
Might i suggest changing the icons to match gtx rather than fancy colorful icons use gray ones or white with a shadowed background. I had found a great icon pack before that looks great but is still unique called token (google it) and they have both light and dark versions. I think it looked best if you converted them to white and used a shadow, but my opinion.
Again it is just a suggestion, i think it is a little weird to do a gtx styled theme and then toss in colorful icons that don't really match...not that they don't look good.
edit: sorry, i was dumb and didn't read the end of your post where you mentioned you would address this next release.
Working well, thanks for this.
Any reason why you used a CAB opposed to using the theming support?
It's a pity that S2U2 really screws up the date font on QVGA.
It's really beautifull!!!Great work!!!Already looked forward to next version
If there was a good QVGA GTX WM6.5.x theme, I would use the whole set. I guess I'm stuck with using a WP7 & GTX hybrid.
The lock seems to go past the parameters by say 2 pixels (I can do a mockup if you don't understand). The S2P controls are not skinned either (unless it's just in tPro style).
nice work Livven

[SKIN][TouchPal4]GTX Style[W|Q|VGA]

TOUCHPAL4
After a request from mike2nl I thought i would flex my newly found skinning ability. This one took me longer than I thouhgt as I got really finickety about getting all the little glitches worked out.
You'll still find a few glitches on the phone keypad and half qwerty, but I blame this firmly on TouchPal's lameness when it comes to skinning.
Also I dont use the GTX theme myself so if you have GTX and try this keyboard let me know how it looks
If you don't already have touchpal its a great keyboard for windows mobile. Blows HTC's out of the water and I much prefer it over the other options out there! Check out CooTek's site for the beyboard, its only $10 which is a bargain by anyones standerds.

Sorry, I dont have a qvga phone.
If its as simple as resizing the images I might have a look at it next week, but I have no testing device. If it is that simple you should have a look at doing it yourself. Just download a QVGA skin, download my skin and resize the images in my skin to the size of the ones on the QVGA skin.

Sorry MM, it's not done by only resizing the images, it's a bit harder. I did that with my EzInput skin with a lot of help by some other members from here. It took me three or four weeks (couldn't remember anymore) so that every looked fine.

I was wondering if it was a bit more complex than that, and without a QVGA device to test on I can't see myself making a QVGA version.
