Does anyone have these "all in one" accessory packs? - HD2 Accessories

Something like this:
<Had a picture here but since im a new user and no moderators decided to do what they should be doing I cant post a pic>
So how do I become "permitted"?
Was looking around for just the sat nav holder and saw a lot of these running around ebay.
Anyone brought any?
Opinions?

you need to have a little more posts to be able to post links/pics.
Anyway, I bought my car windshield holder for ~4eur shipping included from a UK seller (just search for the cheapest car holder for hd2), it's got a flexible arm (I still preferred the rigid, rotable/articulated arm of my previous holder, but it's suction end was spoiled) and I have no big complaint until now, except that if you need precise positioning, doing it with flexible arm is cumbersome.

Touch Diamond Bike Holders

Hello
Im after a bike computer and figure that to save myself from buying a new one i could use my diamond. This leads to 2 questions.
1) Are there any decent apps out there that are decent for use as a bike computer. All i really require is speed, distance and times at various points, really!
2) More importantly, does anyone know of any phone holders that are suitable to attach to the front handlebar of a bike (and by bike i mean bicycle), remembering that it gets shaken around a fair bit and needs to be pretty secure so that it doesnt come flying off!
I came across a program called Pocket GForce which appears to be roughly what im after, has anyone used it for this purpose?
Hi,
searched for the same for a minute and then got the idea to get a quick-snappable front bag for the bike with a waterproof map-bag on it. Works out fine for me ...
1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424423
2)I'm looking for something like that myself. I wouldn't be surprised if dealextreme have somthing useful.
1) GPSCyclecomputer v3 as per previous post is exactly what you are after and what I use myself for mountain biking and urban cycling.
2) I use a RAM U-Bolt system similar to the one shown here:
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/rambikemount.php
(Note: I've mounted mine differently to that so that it doesn't stick out so high and forward either)
It is exceptionally well built and sturdy and easy to install. The only criticism I have of mine is that I use the weatherproof case holder and it can be difficult to see the screen through the plastic cover.
I don't have the specific details of exactly which bits I opted for, where I purchased from and cost to hand but happy to dig them out if you like.
HTH
You'll find exactly what you need in Sportypal and for the holder i have this one:
http://articlebiz.org/Review/Gadgets/Iphone-Bike-Holder.html
although is for iPhone can be fixed for the diamond also.

Desk Top Stand

Got this little desk top stand from Amazon UK £8.49
I wanted a stand and came across this one
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003HJI1Q6/ref=oss_product
as you can see from the pics it does look to small but it does its job very well the streak does not slip at all in landscape or portrait and if the front gets dirty just wash with a little clean water and its as good as new.
It does not feel sticky to the touch and leaves no marks on the back of the streak, it has a card reader on one side and 2 usb on the other and can be plugged into mains as well so you can leave that plugged in and just connect streak to it for charging
I would give it 9 out of 10 if it was a tad bigger it would get a 10 but for a stand it is great and would recommend it
Although tempting, I think I will go with Dell's overpriced home docking station.
Thanks for the images though, huge help!

Ah most definitely, and with a price tag of £8.49 why not purchase one!
How is the usability of the Streak while it is on the stand? Can you still point around and touch the screen without much give on the stand?
I am assuming the non sticky surface (that the Streak sticks to) is like those 'car mats' they sell at gas station in the States.
.
Yes its very good you can operate it very well on the stand and it does not move, the stivky stuff is not sticky at all so don't know why I keep calling it sticky, its just black rubber and yes just like those mats,i do think the angle of the stand helps as well
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Based on this recommendation I bought one from 7Day shop for £7.99 delivered
They also do it in white for £5.99 delivered
It arrived this morning and first off I was disappointed. My conclusion was that the holder pad does not hold the Streak, this is in line with feedback comments I have seen elsewhere. I think this is the same item that Mobile Fun sells as The Genie for £14.99.
However I have completely misunderstood the function. It doesn’t so much hold the Streak, rather it doesn’t let it slip off the holder. A shift in perception is required. It is the difference between non-slip friction and sticky.
I realised this after I sent an email to 7Day requesting a ‘sticky’ replacement pad. At that point I had decided in any event not to send it back for a refund as the built in memory card reader, which reads the micro SD from the Streak, is probably worth the money and the inclusion of a 2 port USB hub makes it even more of a bargain.
When 7Day responds to me I shall apologise for taking up their time. Perhaps if they get some customers based on my feedback that will help compensate for my too hasty complaint.
However a caveat, over time - possibly due to the weight of the Streak - it can sometimes imperceptibly slide down the holder so that it ends up with the base resting on the desk. No big deal but a disaster if the stand is on the edge of a shelf with only thin air to prevent the Streak from hitting the ground.
So the sales description of “Securely holds...” is misleading. Nonetheless as a 3-in-1 accessory it is excellent.

[Q] Decent HD2 Car Windshield Mounts?

Looking to purchase a windshield car mount for my HD2 (TMOUS). I've seen a lot of posts raving about vent mounts, but not too many for windshield mounts. I found this product that seems like it should be able to do the job, but before purchasing I was wondering what other people have bought/think about it.
I'll only be using this while I put my phone into GPS mode, so I can get around the city easily.
Thanks!
just go BRODIT... I know it is not windshield but it fits perfectly... both the car and the phone... besides that I hate having something in the windshield while driving... in some states it is even forbidden....
From the photos, it doesn't seem like a good choice - I feel like the phone won't be secured enough, and even if it secures it, you don't seem to have a lot of options regarding angle tilt.
For the normal HD2 (not sure if it would fit the TMOUS) I recommend this from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310314688415
The mount is rock solid.
The tab on the cradle normally breaks off after a year or so's use with all the other versions I've had so I expect it to do the same, but I just buy the cheapest one I can find and swap over the new cradle.
The cases and other bits as well make the £11 an absolute bargain.
Definetly a steal, so sad there's no shipping to my country

I'd contact the seller and see if they can sort something out.
Don't bother, I'll jusk ask some friends who are studying there, and they'll just bring it over home when they return for the holidays

EVO 4G Car kit for HD2 (T-Mobile US)

I've been looking into purchasing a car kit for my HD2, and before you guys start yelling out Brodit, I don't want it. I came across this mount:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Windshield-...754946?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item33691bb282
but it says that it doesn't fit TMobile HD2 (US). The EVO 4G has close dimensions to the TMOUSHD2, so I figured this one might fit:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Car-Kit-Windshi...883808?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4aac18c2e0
What do you think?
Just ran the tape over my EU version and it will fit - yours is a fraction longer but will still have lots of room - go for it
See this thread I started about this EXACT same thing:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130487
I searched the thread titles and didn't see anything, that's why I made this thread. Anyway, that's good to know, because I was going to buy the HD2 one and dremel it, but if I can get the EVO one without any mods, even better.
Actually, I am very very pleased with the fit. It fits like a glove and the neck itself is pretty sturdy and does not flap around on rough patches on the road. Also, the whole thing (mount+charger) is pretty cheap and I am very satisfied using it.

Car Mount

Anybody know if there is a car mount available that is either specific to the Holiday, or one that is universal but works just as well? I want to try iOnRoad:
Not that I need it, because I'm a good driver.. lol just curious as to how well it works. Plus, I use navigation on occasion and it would be nice to have a real mount rather than propping the phone up on the dash or holding it.
Here you are.
Awesome. But, you know, I can't really Google any car mounts Vivid users have already tried out and experienced for themselves. Because even though I have, I haven't found any. So that's really why I asked. Nice try, though.

next time, maybe you should check the google links before trying to be funny... you know... the ones that don't actually have mounts for the vivid...
thanks.
While they don't have one for the Vivid/Raider yet, I've always used ProClip mounts (Brodit outside of North America). They come in two pieces, one custom fit to the vehicle and one custom fit to the phone, and I like it very much. I've emailed them to see if they'll make a Vivid mount, but they gave the standard "We don't know what our plans are" answer. If people are interested, email them, maybe if they get enough questions, they'll actually make one!
The ProClips are ok. I've used them before. However, I've really grown to like the Scosche universal that you can find at Walmart. It uses two small bottom feet and has sticky gel on the back to hold the phone.
It comes with a windshield mount. When the gel loses its stick, just clean it with a damp rag. Mine has lasted through three cellphones and going.
Kensigton Universal Car Mount
I just bought this a few weeks ago and it work excellent with the Vivid, it holds the phone securely and has very minimalist design. To remove the phone from the holder is just a press of a button. I used the vent clip mounting option, as I prefer not to obstruct the windshield with anything. Below is the link to the product page on Amazon, which is where I bought it from.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003SE6LD0
I picked up a thunderbolt dock last night at Verizon (only $10) cut off the left side (farthest from plug) and it fits and world really well, im ganna add some foam to the back so it fits in better and more securely.
I am actually using a Kensington iPhone car mount (can't post a link yet) granted my Vivid isn't in a case but its only about $10 on Amazon and it holds the phone snugly while given access to the charging port and can rotate from lanscape to portrait easily.
The only issue I have is that the mic on this phone is so weak that I can't be heard on the phone if I answer on speakerphone while driving. Does anyone know a fix for this?

I'm using the same Kensington car mount. Bought it off Amazon because I saw it on sale for 6 bucks. Works quite well!

Anyone know if htc makes different cradles for their car docks? I recently looked at an htc car mount/ dock for an evo 3d and it looks like an amazing mount with superior quality. I found a way to take off the evo 3d specific "cradle" and was wondering why they designed it that way if I couldn't find any other cradles online. It would totally make sense if I could go to a parts website and just buy the cheap cradle part. The mount is clearance at Best Buy so this would be the best inexpensive option I think.

Ive actually been in the market for a vent mount myself. I dont like window mounts mainly because they put your phone where it's sitting right in the sun the entire time its in the mount. Vent mounts help some to keep it out of the sun. I haven't bought one yet, but I plan to in the near future. However, before I do, I think I'm going to try this first. Found it in another thread, thought I'd share it here too.

My personal favorite is still the Mountek.
My first mount for my Inspire was a mountek. It worked great for what it is. I read somewhere that:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0052G6IRG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
can be modified to fit the phone. Mine is due to arrive tomorrow and found this thread looking for the other thread lol. IIRC you have to modify (or cut off for the less handy) the portion of the mount that curves around the top of the phone (mic jack area). No worried as the USB port with firm top/bottom clamping should hold the phone from lateral movement in landscape modes. I definately would not try to have it hold the phone upside down when modified.
Try a type similar to the Rocketfish Universal mount...
Hi guys,
Just recently got the Vivid. Best Buy sells the Rocketfish Universal mount for about $25 or so. I'm sure there's something similar out on the web...I like this mount because I can move the arms/feet around the buttons and still secure the phone in mount. Useful if you have a GPS (like google navigate doesn't do a fair job) or another phone that you swap in and out with...
Would love to find a mount suitable for a '95 Honda VT1100 (though with some velcro strapping the Rocketfish would work. Any suggestions there?

Try installing "Equalizer", from the AppBrain market. It really will boost the sound quality both ways, and it's customizable.

Does yours allow the phone to actually charge properly? Mine it just slowly drains, figured I would see what your results were before dropping even more money on yet another cig lighter to usb port. My current one is spec'd to 500mA so if its functioning its provides the juice.
EDIT: Tested in car mode attached directly to the charger and it still slowly drained. must not be the dock then :/

I have a vent mount and bike mount for both Vivid and Inspire using Seido Surface cases. Fitment is excellent.
