Bluetooth Mice - HD2 Accessories

Hi all,
I saw a thread (after searching) relating to the upcoming release of.....Blueinput for Widcom broadcom stacks.....whichever one (for HD2)
Is this currently the only way (the beta which apparenltly only 10 peeps got) to get a bluetooth mouse working on our HD2?
I can see it and try to pair it (Im using Razor pro click mobile bluetooth mouse) but it asks for a passkey - the mouse does not require a pass key
I have been playing Quake 3 on my N95 using this same mouse (Oli Hinka release),
Oh god.....its so so so good, Tv out and perfect handling I am actually playing a PC game on my phone with real controlls....
So I thought, yeah this could be even better on my HD2 - but cant even pair it let alone play Quake 3.....
We really really need a version of quake 3 for our devices.....just like the N95 port, a perfect PC clone uses all same data file and allows connection to and creation of Game servers.....(play against PC)
People think that playstation games are the be all, they are great but if anyone played this version of Quake3 from my 3 year old N95 8GB it is simply jaw dropping.
anyway...the purpose of my thread was to get bluetooth mouse going, then I got all excited.
Any ideas on pairing methods?
Kind regards

Nope, and even if you could pair it (I can pair mine, as it has a passcode) you can't do anything with it as there's no mouse driver.

Looks like where just going to have to wait for Teksoft to release the bluetooth drivers for the HD2. Hopefully it wont be long i also am very interested in using my bluetooth mouse and keyboard with my phone. It says it will be available very soon on there forum pages.

Hi !
can i ask a question ?
would you mean that the Teksoft would allow my kb600 (you know the-unable-bluetooth-stuff-to-connect ;-) to work with me leo ?
best regards.
ludovic.

Tilt as BT keyboard for Playstation 3?

Does anyone know if this is possible? I've seen wireless keyboards/mice for use with the PS3. So far I've been able to connect my PS3 via Wifi/Orb to my laptop to access all media files. (Which is a sweet feature I didn't know it could do before I purchased. Awesome way to play media on the plasma and listen to music over surround system.)
It would be great to use the Tilt this way and not have to buy another piece of hardware for the PS3. I love surfing the web on my 42" plasma, but inputtin characters using the controller and on-screen keyboard sucks. Thanks!
im not really sure about that. but i am going to look into it. because that would be amazing.
That's a great idea.
I'm definitely going to try this when I get home.
you can do it using
net remote suite 2.0.0.99

will this app work for a bluetooth remote for PS3?? i have been searching to no avail in finding an app that will let me use my phone as a bluetooth remote for watching movies.. and im to cheap to spend the $20 for the actual remote
As of this point, I don't think it will (but I haven't tried it, so don't take my word). A bluetooth remote is a bluetooth HID device, which is basically a bluetooth keyboard or mouse. The bluetooth stack in the Kaiser supports various bluetooth profiles, including HID, but only accepting, not as being one. In other words, you can use a BT HID device with the Kaiser, but not use the Kaiser as one. I am not sure of the level of dificulty of making the Kaiser emulate a HID device. It might be as simple as a small .NET program to pass the keyboard input over bluetooth, but also it might require hacking a new bluetooth stack, which for all practical purposes is impossible at this point. Either way, the development costs are probably WAAAY more than the cost of buying everybody interested a remote for their PS3.

Wii Remote controlls Tilt

Hey guys, so it just occured to me today, Wii Remote is Bluetooth... Tilt is Bluetooth... you do the math. To me this sounds like a realy good idea but I have not been able to find any thing usefull to make it work once I connect the two, can anyone help me out?
It's been talked over and over, but nobody got anywhere. I personally posted a thread on it a while back but nobody seems to have made any progress since nobody really seems serious about it. The idea itself is very nice however.
It's been done on PC, so yes it's of course possible. But that would be a load of work to port it on WM, and frankly what would you control with a Wiimote on a PPC? Play one day with it to wow your friends and that's it? Not really worth the time and effort...
Well, there's a few obvious drawbacks.
1. No practical IR sensor solution, so pointer's out of the question.
2. The wii-mote's about as big as the phone.
3. Drivers would need to be developed.
However, you'd be able to do the following.
1. Map the buttons to do whatever you want.
2. Play audio through the wiimote(if you so wanted).
3. Have one-touch program launching capabilities without grabbing your phone.
If you ask me, somebody should do it just for the sheer geekiness of it.
And also eventually a PS3 Bluetooth remote too.
There is a posibillity to get this work with few effort. It's a .NET Library which also should work on WM-Phones! Found it on Wiibrew.org or something like that...
would make it awesome for playing games you could play all the snes and megadrive games and it would be sooper cool! and easy to say the least!
not possible.
Wii remote has built in accelerometer.
you can however use the Wii remote as a G-Meter for you car when you hook it up to your laptop.

That's besides the point; we're wanting just to use it as bt game controller for playing stuff like Mario which afaik doesn't require any accelerometer.
@ kilrah, i would have to disagree with that. It'd be a whole lot of fun using since the bt game pads that are made for PPCs are so lame; i'd be playing on my device a whole lot more if i could use the wiimote.

1. You already have a large assortment of buttons accessible to program directly on the phone. If you need more buttons than your kaiser has, then just open the keyboard!
2. The wii remote audio is no better sounding than the audio built into the kaiser. Besides, just use your Kaiser to control your audio center on your computer!
3. What will you launch remotely on the phone that you will be able to see from a distance anyway? Seems to me that you would need the phone nearby in order to see what you are controlling anyway.
Total waste of time because there are NO benefits. Just more batteries to charge. No offense for picking on you but I agree with the previous poster. There is no beneficial purpose for trying to use a wii on a kaiser.
Reason for posting
I started this thread cuz i am running NES and GBA games on my TyTAN II and I would love to be able to play using the wii mote. I have been looking into it myself but to be honest I have about as much programming skill as a wet sponge.

Ive used several bluetooth keyboards that had way too much lag to try to play a game using the directional controls. I somehow doubt that a Wii remote would respond much faster . . . . . . .
Not to be a spoil sport. Hell AFAIK someone has already made the BT on the kaiser responsive enough to use . . . . .

I beg to differ; if you came from an 8525 to the Tilt, you'll see that the button placement for games is less practical. For the 8525, you could at least have your hands separated at length of the phone so that not everything was crunched; the same can not be said for the Tilt.
How cool would it be to have your Tilt tilted on the desk and you playing a few feet away? Pretty nice imo. To you there might be no benefits, to some of us, it opens a whole new world of gaming

Admittedly, however you will have to overcome the lag issue . . . . .
What lag issue?
Look 3 posts up
I have had 3 different kaisers and 3 different bluetooth keyboards. Ive tried playing many a game using directional controls on the keyboards and in all 6 combinations , there was too much time between the time i hit the key and the command was interpreted by the kaiser. IE, Controlling Mario in Super Mario brothers using NES emu, if i use the keyboard on the kaiser, mario controlled just fine. When using a bluetooth device mario took approx .5 seconds to start moving after pressing the keys. Thusly, he stopped .5 seconds after the key was depressed or jumped .5 seconds too late.
THIS is the lag i was referring to. I can ONLY assume its because of the lag / latency between a bluetooth device and the bluetooth radio in the kaiser.
ALSO, I tested this with multiple roms and radios, including changing the BT related registry settings.
**EDIT**
This lag may not cause an issue playing puzzle games like tetris ( until you get to the upper levels where reaction time really matters )
Hi I found the link: http://www.codeplex.com/WiiMoB/
hmm, there is such a Program for symbian and nokia n95 etc.
why should it not work on kaiser ???

Bluetooth Keyboard?

Any confirmed working BT keyboards?
My trusty Think Outside BT keyboard that has sync'ed with every phone I've had in the last 4-5 years doesn't work. Gutted.
I need a keyboard for this thing!
Any help links advice appreciated.
Thanks,

That's strange, because my iGo (Think Outside) bluetooth keyboard works fine. Didn't even need to install the Think Outside software or drivers - just put the keyboard in discover mode, phone picked it right up, assigned the HID profile, and voila - works grand!
Well waddya know! Don't have any of the shortcut functionality or command and function options but its working as a basic keyboard. Thanks robertlewisca! Never thought of that!
Quite expensive and big solution, the Logitech DiNoVo Mini.
I've bought it for my computer but it also works on the HD2

How did you pair it...?
Does Logitec diNovo Mini works on HD2? I checked the official website of Logitec and don't see it would work on Windows Mobile. Kindly tell me and confirm if it works on HD2 and teach me how to pair. Thanks!
Apple wireless (bluetooth) keyboard works on HD2

To let you know, just used apple's wireless keyboard and it works perfectly !
I was able to outperform the Cootek Touchpal (software)-keyboard , which usually works pretty fast if you know how it works!
hope this helps! perhaps you could try it yourself in the apple stores XD
WORKING EXTERNAL KEYBOARDS ON HD2:
+ Apple Wireless Keyboard
+ Logitech DiNoVo Mini (confirmed by Zero Masamune )
Apple
Apple wireless BT keyboards (newer types) do not work! It pairs OK, everything looks OK, connected and all but - no typing. Unfortunately. I do have a Stowaway foldable, works perfect, although shortcuts do not function (none). Fortunately all others keys do, as with my last HD keys were mixed up sometimes (UK/US/NL problems)
So which BT keybard would you recommend for HD2?
And does the embeded touchpad/trackpoint work with HD2 as well?

I also got the Logitech DiNoVo Mini connected with my HD2. However, the mouse pad function not working on HD2. Only can use the mouse pad for up, down, left and right movement.
Are there any others? Im thinking of getting a BT keyboard
My ThinkOutside BT folding slimline works a charm... Some of the keys take a while to 'warm up' before they'll work 100% but I've been using this thing since I got my Tungsten T3 so it's kinda understandable.
Anyone get bluethooth mouse connected on HD2? Or I need to install third party software before HD2 can connected with bluetooth mouse?
hi,
looks like the hd2 dosent like bt mice, my advantage do work well with 2 of them, the hd2 wont. keyboards i tested til now are the freedom universal 2 and the think outside stowaway. both working well for basic keys, but support only english 'qwerty' keyboard layout and no spezial language chars like german 'ÄÖÜß'.

By that do you mean. "p, backspace, enter, delete" don't work for a while??
I noticed this on my Stowaway and I thought it was faulty hardware and I was gutted. First time I paired with 1.43 it worked like a charm for about a week, then those keys stopped working.. it may have had something to do with flashing to 1.48, but after some repeated hammering and opening and closing of the keyboard they start working, sluggishly and then they are okay.
I thought it was a problem with my (admittedly ancient) Think Outside Stowaway BT keyboard.
Nice to know its not that!!
I read on another thread that a company were working on drivers to make full use of the winmo shortcut keys again..

X7500 Advantage has MS BT Stack, HD2 (like TP2) has Widcomm BT stack that don't recognize BT mouse as BT "Profile".....so.....
we hope for a developer's release of a MicroSoft Bluetooth Stack for our device.

Same problem!!! Blueinput from teksoftco need MS Bluetooth Stack......we have widcomm...bleah!
why is it not made a keyboard that you can attach to your mobile phone through the usb port? it would have been fine with a keyboard of the same quality as what was on the qtek 9000 or is it allready made?
I'm using a HP iPAQ branded BT foldable keyboard and it works perfectly. I guess it is really a Stowaway Keyboard but I'm not 100% sure.
It folds out to an almost full size keyboard and has a nice retractable stand in the rear of the left half (the rear of the right half is occupied by a compartment for two rechargeable AAA-batteries).

BlueInput for Broadcom is closing in

BlueInput for Broadcom is closing in
We're happy to announce that Teksoft is just a few weeks away from the release of Blueinput for devices that use the Broadcom Bluetooth stack, including the HTC HD2, HTC Touch Pro 2, Asus, and others.
BlueInput is an advanced HID driver that totally transforms your Pocket PC or Smartphone into the perfect Mobile office solution by offering easy Bluetooth connectivity to Bluetooth Mouses or Keyboards.

fantanstic news !
I wanna use it with mouse and keyboard as mobile computer ~
Great News... Can a working version (alpha/beta/demo) be released before next Friday morning?
I leave next Friday evening for a 5 day camp where no laptops are allowed... ordered a BT Keyboard.. and have several BT Mice... would really like to use a BT Mouse on the HD2 as well...
indeed, would be great to have it asap. the news said something about "weeks away". probably it's in testing phase.
about time! hate having paid for the software and not having it working.
hopefully it supports different language/keyboardlayout. thats (beside mouse support) my only problem atm. with bluetooth on the hd2.
anyhow great news mad.
Here's a demo video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLRXSBcu6WI&feature=player_embedded
showing a bluetooth mogo mouse working with an asus device, that has the Broadcom Stack (like the HD2 does).
looks impressive...
waiting for news

Still holding my breath too. Teksoftco's web site has everything in place except the download. Sure wish they would put up an expiring demo so we can at least have something.
Teksoft sleeping - confirmation
Ridiculous: Teksoft Broadcomm page is defunct for almost two weeks now. Are they sleeping or what? Does anyone know any details? Where are the beta testers???
Wonder if this will get around the issues with Wiimotes and Playstation Sixaxis remotes...would love to use one of those in FPSECE instead of the bgp100
Nice video showing the possibilities of blueinput. But the HD2 already has integrated bluetooth reception. I have a microsft 6000 series bluetooth keyboard, which is easily recognised by the current bluetooth software on my HD2. The current issue of the bluetooth keyboard is that not all keys are functional in the windows mobile 6.5 software. What is needed, therfore, is software that can reprogram the bluetooth keyboard keys, for more functional use. That will be a milestone for the Hd2. Has anyone heard of this software yet?
So you are saying your M$ 6000 BT mouse pairs properly and works? I have a M$ 5000 and the HD2 sees it but cannot pair with it. It works fine on a laptop.

No, he wrote "keyboard", not "mouse". No comment on your reading skills.
To be serious: back to my post on page #1: what about the blueinput software? Where are the beta testers???
Ok, Teksoftco, this thread was started by you on Feb. 5, today is June 24. 5 months seems a bit extreme for a beta test.
Hi,
totally agree with you, 5 month to issue a software is a bit long. Perhaps waiting for people to buy other/recent keyboards ;-)
Anyway, my BK600 would work with my hd2 with that software. Too bad they haven't delivered yet. What do they need developpers ? (i'm one of them , so if they need help... lol )
Anyway in the same vein, i would really like to ask for sources of freedom / Com1 / omiz BK600 to fix the to issue a driver for my hd2 ...
Kind regards,
and still waiting some driver to make my bk600 work on my htc hdé !!!
Ludovic
Don't hold your breath - the software is defunct - not working - major issues.
see my thread : developping bluetooth gateway for bk600
enough to wait for will-be-released drivers, or drivers which are not for my phone.
I'll try to make on myself. If i succedd, it won't cost $15 ^_^

BlueInput: BT Keyboard not found
I've downloaded the last/new vesion of BlueInput 1.0.101. But still it can't detect my BT keyboard (HP iPAQ foldable). It detects though my BT mouse - Logitech MX1000 and it works fine, but no any signs by the keybord.
My other BT software on my HD2 detects the keyboard and i've managed to make it work, but its inconvenient to use one program for keyboard and another for mouse.
Has anyone experienced similar problems with iPAQ BT keyboard? It cannot be detected by BlueInput software. These guys need to do some more work before i buy this software.
Bought a cheapo chinese bluetooth mouse a while back for this purpose & have been waiting AGES for Teksoft to get this software running (I guess android has been the priority for them lately).
Works OK on my HD2 3.14 official wwe ROM, although probs encountered whilst on the home screen (weather animation on) or viewing videos. Also doesn't always track screen rotation (Youtube app for one, although does using IE).

Best Nexus 7 Set up

Hello all
I thought i would let you know of my set up i have for my nexus 7, ever since day 1 on nexus ownership the desktop has been un used, it is such a amazing tablet, far better that ipads and other android tabs which ive owned.
if anyone is looking for a do-it-all set up i have to let you know of mine.
I wanted a Bluetooth keyboard so i got the Logitech android Bluetooth keyboard which was great, after a bit of use i thought i would get a Bluetooth mouse as i didn't want USB cables all over, so i got the Microsoft wedge tough, such a weird mouse, but it is fantastic. The problem was lag, when i had both the keyboard and mouse on (both Bluetooth) they keyboard kept lagging, for example if i typed android it would look like andrrrrrrrrrrrrrroid. this was so annoying so i got the wedge Bluetooth keyboard, again a fantastic keyboard and connected them both, the problem was still there so i experimented with some applications and i found one which solved the problem, if anyone is having the same issue then download external keyboard helper, ever since i got this app i have had no problems, i have seen a few threads so i thought this would hopefully help people out.
If you are looking for a keyboard and mouse combo, go out and get the Microsoft wedge touch and keyboard, there expensive yes, but they are so good, and get hold of the app, currently I'm using the demo version and it has solved the problem, but if anyone has tried the full can you let me know how good it is and whether it is worth forking out the few quid
For audio i sue the Logitech Bluetooth audio hub, so i can use my half decent creative t40's wirelessly both on my nexus 7 my one x and with my desktop, even with the 3 Bluetooth devices connected to my nexus 7 i still have not encountered any other issue with bandwidth or lagging anymore.
i hope this helps some people out there that were experiencing the same problem that i was if anyone needs any help with the Bluetooth problem on JB then let me know and ill help out to the best of my abilities

Does the app work with the Logitech keyboard and other mice?
---------- Post added at 12:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:53 PM ----------
How well is the microsoft mobile keyboard optimized for Android?
i got the helper pro, it helped alot but still have the issue of when both bt keyboard and bt mouse are connected the browser freezes, restarts.
i have tried mouse and keyboard individually and are 100% perfect on there on.
i still get aaaaaa but rarely with KHP and both bt Kb/mouse connected.
tried usb keyboard with otg cable and bt mouse all was perfect
incidentally for those wanting to fix this it must be with n7/jb as the bt mouse and bt KB work perfect on my htc one x when used in the same configuration as we have the problem on the n7/jb
Spot on!
